The ease of getting there from the motorway and getting back on, to continue our journey south
Breakfast was a bit cool when we sat down at 9am.
i had a good nights sleep
toilet seat loose tv kept cutting out no shower cap no information in the room door lock wouldn't close completely
reception. Not welcoming, doors not suitable for customers carrying bags.
Room size was decent Breakfast was OK
Very poor wifi. If room is advertised as coming with wifi, expect decent speed. Room allocated was really far from reception, up and down flights of stairs. No power shower
The staff were very helpful
The decor and cosiness of the room Very relaxing
Water was leaking from the shower The hairdryer did not work and they had no spare ones
Morning receptionists were incapable of completing simple tasks. Their lack of skills and effort caused me and my guests lots of frustration. WIFI was much too slow. TV had no satellite signal at 80% of time. Never again I would stay there or book my guests.
The room was a decent size for a single room. The location was good as I was attending a party at the hotel. Breakfast - the food was good but not everything was available. I had to ask for eggs suasage a plate to put it on.
The room was cold. There was a small radiator that was covered by the curtains that came to the floor. Although the radiator was turned up it was barely aired. I was so cold at 6.30am I had to take a bath in order to warm up. There were two cups and saucers and one had sugar around the rim and was stuck to the saucer. Upon checking out the receptionist walked past me and another couple infront of me. She left us standing at the reception for over 5 minutes before we were able to check out. There was no apology upon her return. She didn't show much interest. I personally felt like I was interrupting her time. I was asked for my card details and when I questioned about the receptionist taking the details upon checking in she was quite abrupt and replied that it was only used for reservation purposes. She did ask the people in front if everything was ok with their stay but didn't ask me anything. I found this quite rude to be honest. I think that she wanted to get me checked out asap as there were two young men behind me who I thought she was eager to see to.
Breakfast the worst breakfast I have ever had whilst staying at a range of hotels
the staff were pleasant
the state of rooms 46 and 10 . 46 was hideously filthy, cobwebs clinging in the apex of the walls and dust thick enough to write in. tea cups were brown inside, peeling paint behind the radiator was hazardous, and the window and framework filthy. room 10 was not as dirty but still bad enough that after travelling 200 miles to a wedding, we could not stay in either of the rooms so we travelled straight home again. disgusting and not fit for even a dog to stay in
Good value Unusual Decor Well priced and we'll prepared food
Poor WiFi and mobile reception. One room had no drinking water.
Excellent hotel, great character, great indian restaurant on site, you feel like you are on holiday when you walk through the door. With no hot water I still rate this hotel Excellent
No Hot water or Wifi,
too hot, hair dryer at its last leg
We travelled from Devon to attend a funeral therefore hotel position was excellent, but would have preferred a room at the back which might have been quieter.A party for 200 teenagers with a free bar on the Friday night was raucous .
Friendly staff Clean room Good breakfast
Inadequate wifi coverage in the hotel; don't count on it if you really need it!
Most of all it ws friendly and comfy nice staff
The Indian resteraunt was good and the bar was good too
The staff where rude and the receptionist especially was been accused and fined 85 pound for something we did not do which was unfair also they had no proof that we did it at all we was willing to go again but never again after we had been fined for something we did not do also the receptionist made threats towards us
The courtesy, helpfulness, and kindness of all the staff we met. We enjoyed the warmth, and comfort of our room, bed, and bathroom facilities. Breakfast in the dining room was excellent, and we both enjoyed this too.
Nothing at all to complain about.
The staff member on arrival 'frankie' was really good at her job and she was happy to help with any problems we had! The breakfast staff were lovely and really attentive! All in all a good stay with amazing staff who clearly love their jobs and are passionate about what they do!
The wifi in room 16 was non existent however that didn't spoil our stay!
Not quite sure why there are negative comments about this hotel. We found it to be clean, comfortable, friendly helpful staff and the breakfast was without fault…good quality freshly cooked with plenty of choice options. Would have no hesitation in staying again.
Stain on bedroom carpet…but I am being Mr Picky
breakfast was really nice nice indian restaurant around corner nice comfy beds would go again
shower didnt work properly, watrer pressure too low. windows draughty thin walls
Everything, especially breakfast
There was no hassles with anything, we booked, payed and found our room with no problems. We could have had a morning call if we wanted but chose not to, which I thought was caring. The room was in my thought very very clean and well maintained concidering the amount of people that could use the room. Breakfast was excalent, there was a wide chose of food there, the only thing was I had to be out early.... Mabe there could be a possible earlier breakfast system going on, other than that it was top notch. Thank you.
comfy bed, but sheeting could be better. Good location.
The big question mark is:"why doesn't the management do anything about them?" Seriously, the wifi is non-existent, most rooms are noisy (the road is close enough) but no double glazing is available. Heating did not work, at least in my room
Great value for money, can't go wrong.
