Staff was really friendly and polite. Breakfast was nice. Hotel bed was MASSIVE! Lovely and clean. Good value for money.

Our smoke alarm went off for approx 20/30 seconds waking us at 06.50 in the morning! Breakfast needed music/radio just low it was like awkward silences. Radiator in room did not seem to become warm.

all the staff were friendly at this hotel, we had a problem with out heating that got sorted out quickly, very good location for the monkey Forrest and gardens that me and my fiance really enjoyed and are plannin to re visit sometime, pub near by called the " gatehouse" excellent food and great value for money

The fact that was a card to fill out for breakfast in your room which was put out way before the time state. Yet no breakfast was brought to the room.

Toaster in breakfast room needs replacing and carpets in bedrooms too as they are stained.

The rooms seem to have been partly modernised and the work that has been done was great - lovely modern bathrooms, enormous beds in good sized rooms. Downstairs was lovely - fresh, spacious and modern with a beautiful lawn at the front. Breakfast was self service and delicious. The cleanliness and maid service wsd spot on - I couldn't fault that at all. If you want good value for money and are willing to put up with a few inconveniences, this place is ideal.

The room keys didn't work so we kept getting locked out and having to ask reception to reset them. The windows badly need replacing and most rooms tell you not to try to open them which was a problem as we went when it was really hot. Some light bulbs needed replacing and a lamp shade was missing. The staff were lovely but seemed young and inexperienced when it came to dealing with our problems. The promised irons and ironing boards were nowhere to be seen and in two out of our three rooms, the hairdryers were broken.

On arrival the staff where fine, However!! I left the hotel to meet friends in town, and on my return was greeted to a locked!! Main door with no! Night porter in sight, I was left to stand outside in the cold for a good 15 minutes before gaining entry, Not even an apology, Very poor customer service.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Clean with large rooms. Quite a lot of parking though it may not be enough if the hotel gets really busy. Great value for money.

It was quite a trek to the room through lots of doors which could be a problem if your have your hands full. The room was quite cold when I got there and in the morning while the corridors were quite warm. It could be I just didn't find the controls for the temperature but I would expect the room to be warm for arriving guests. The coffee at breakfast was horrible!

Location, price and convenience

Tired looking decor, dried out B'fast, lack of adequate towels, poor Internet connection speed.

The two staff ( reception and night porter) were brilliant: for example - although brand new and finding their feet at the hotel they were professional and kind; we arrived late ( 11.00pm or a bit later) and our roooms were booked quite far apart. As it was so late we wanted to be closer together so I could help with my grandson - we were shown alternative rooms close together. This was all done with a professional and supportive manner. Firm beds; clean crisp cotton sheets ( be good to take the duvets' a little higher..they were difficult to un tuck!) Light and airy rooms and wide windows that could be opened which was great. Night lights on reception looked pretty and welcoming. The garden in the middle - make more of it - it looks unloved Thank you....

Lampshade in my room was dirty and broken. Carpet in the other room we had was stained. It would be useful to have a water glass/es in the rooms. Breakfast was ok - but the coffee used could have an upgrade! Maybe have some bigger pictures in the bedrooms - the little ones look odd...and some flowers around. Floor was cracked in some places: may need to be careful for thoe not steady on their feet.

Very good Hotel Restaurant, It does look a little tired on the outside but the inside wows you and the food is great. I had a few problems with my room when I first checked in but this was dealt with immediately by the female Duty Manager who was very professional and sorted my issues out very quickly. I even had a call later that day to check I was happy with my new room. Very good customer srevice!

The breakfast was good

The hotel has all the appearance of being in desperate need of a face life. My son found something not nice floating in the toilet on arrival, the room was very drafty, Reported a leak coming though the bathroom ceiling, it stopped but nobody bothered to tell me. Toaster at breakfast only two of the four spaces worked, another guest joked it didnt work when we came here seven months ago and its the same toaster.

The hotel was very smart and elegant and felt luxurious not just in reception but also in the rooms. The staff were young but friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Our friends were given a rather small room originally but when they complained this was rectified immediately.

Upkeep was not to high standard, staff need to be much more approachable.

A very modern hotel in a great location. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I would definately recommend and return.

Breakfast was microwaved. Room altho clean was definately not good it looked like someone had tried to modernise and failed. Definately not worth the money. Drains stank right ouside our room.
