All of it
really clean and comfortable ! :)
The best bit about staying here was the bed I could of stayed in it all day
Ambience good, Staff very helpful and attentive.
The passing traffic noise was awful, we could not get to sleep, even with windows closed (room 105) Its only a matter of 20 yards from the A534, a main arterial road to the M6. Surely management must consider improving the window insulation, its crying out for secondary double glazing.
proximity to railway station - ease of transit to other centres
Much improved. The reception and the room we stayed in had recently been refurbished.
Breakfast. Use of lift. The room. Very clean and tidy since refurbishment. Car parking facility.
Cold water tap seized in washbasin. No BBC 1 channel. No shaving light above mirror in bathroom.
New reception area Updated bedrooms Better heating and hot water
Modern bar and loss of the old busts that were in the reception. (Hope they go to the local museum) Pictures with non- Crewe engines. An insult to Crewe people - someone did not do their homework.
Clean hotel, helpfull staff.
Lovely rooms.big bed and very comfortable even had sky tv with sports and movies.
staff, room and breakfast all very good
room could have been a little warmer but not really a dislike
It was close to the venue for the music event we attended and close to the station.
Didn't like the new decoration, felt a bit cold and clinical. Friend got a parking ticket when he came to see us only after being there 12 mins, needs to be better communication between the hotel and the parking company regarding this issue.
location refurbishment friendly staff good value meals
refurbishment still needs a few snags sorting out
If you come by train you're there. Across the road from the Railway station. Had a nice big room and an excellent breakfast. Ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner, which was also good. Dining room staff were excellent. You may want to avoid room 103, it is practically on top of one of the station platforms. You can feel the trains rumble and hear the station platform announcements. It wasn't that loud and it certainly didn't keep me from sleeping. It might be more of an issue in summer with open windows.
Arrived at 1310 and was told rather officiously that check in was not allowed until 1400. This was the first time that I have not been allowed to check in a little early if the room was ready. The woman at reception did not try to find out if the room was ready it was just a matter of you can't check in until 2 pm. I was allowed to leave my luggage. When I came back at two it was like I had just shown up. This particular person, whom was also present when checking out, seemed to be always frazzled and overwhelmed and was not especially pleasant. Everyone else at the hotel was very nice
Friendly staff Good food Comfortable room with good tv
Bar area uninviting Annoying small items of maintenance requiring attention loose tap, tiles etc.
comfy bed, nice room, good breakfast ,very friendly staff
night porter very helpfull and pleasant after a very long delayed journey; breakfast was magic and the waitress was most helpfull; biscuits and a coffee was a godsend after very late arrival
bed too soft; quilt too warm; couldnt seem to turn heating down; too warm in room
All recently updated. Excellent all round.
The location and the refurbished room were great for us. The food was fine too and overall our stay at the hotel was good value.
The interactions we had with the staff at the hotel were all ok but demonstrated to me a team who were not working or being managed coherently or with any confidence in the service they were offering e.g 1. Fri evening check-in, we were told that hot breakfast would not be available before 08.00hrs as the chef might not be in before then. In the event, we were happy to see hot food appearing at 07.30 on the Saturday morning 2. A member of the team on Saturday morning arrived in the breakfast room and expressed surprise that so many people were already eating breakfast. There were a number of people booked in from the night before who will have asked the question so this should have been passed on but she explained that if she'd known that so many people would be in early, she would have come in early! 3. It may be me but I never received the code for the hotel wi-fi. 4. I had to remind the receptionist on departure that I should be charged for dinner from the night before. The staff were mainly polite and friendly so I think all these things can be addressed by the team sitting down together with the local manager and agreeing how to work smarter together.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable .
The way breakfast was laid out no staff to organise the way people behaved at the hot plates very poor condiments on the table no milk for at least 10 minutes and no fresh orange juice I decided to leave without breakfast and had to pay for a breakfast at a different venue ( a refund of either your cost or the £9.99 I had to pay at the other venue )
Great value for money. Clean.
Poor cold breakfast with dirty plates. Rooms not redecorated to a very high standard. But hey it is cheep & cheerful.
Revamped reception and new bar / restaurant style setting was fresh and pleasing to the eye as well as being practical Staff were excellent in the customer services they provided
Unfortunately the lift was out of service on both my arrival and departure and with my room on the second floor involved 4 flights of stairs.....
Value Price for Evening Meal Sky TV
My friend's room was really nice, very spacious with a nice bathroom (complete with bath) and plenty of storage space The buffet breakfast was not too bad but the staff were not particularly attentive, people were always having to ask to have things replenished, which was weird, since there were plenty of staff. I would stay there again, but I would make sure to call ahead and see if I could get one of the good rooms
My room was dreadful, not a single drawer in the room and no door on the wardrobe. The bathroom didn't have a bath and it was very small, as was the room. There wasn't room to turn around in the shower and there was nowhere to put your shampoo etc. The room would not have been big enough for two people. The lady in charge of reception couldn't add 55 + 65 and then multiply it by 2, which was a bit scary
Location was excellent, across the street (up a flight of stairs) to the train station. Comfortable bed and helpful staff. The lift was not working so one of the staff brought my suitcase upstairs for me. Great value.
Room very small, smallest shower I have ever seen. Food was not great and with renovation going on the dining areas were not very comfortable.
