Fantastic setting, comfortable and very friendly staff.
Comfort excellent, food reasonable
Restaurant service was inconsistent - staff disappearing for payment which meant I was charged twice for my evening meal
Helpful staff nice and warm great value
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel ! Nice and tidy ! I recommend it for everyone !
I booked this hotel specifically because it had a gym. When we got there, I was informed that they had knocked the gym through to the bar. I was very cross and asked why they were still advertising a gym on their website. They told me they were working on a new website so we're not updating the old. My weekend was ruined as this was a must for me.
Stayed 1 night B & B. Upgraded room with BW card couldn't fault it. Breakfast choice okay could have been hotter. Abit stark in places would stay again if needing a B & B in Crewe.
We checked in late and left early the next morning - but the staff we had contact with were all very welcoming and friendly. The bed was fantastic.
The shower cubicle was quite small and spoils what looks to have been a recent and quite expensive upgrade to the rooms.
Firstly, my room key didn't work, and I had to return to reception to get it reset. There was no admission of fault by reception but it miraculously worked fine when I returned. Secondly, my room had no running water. Nothing worked - the sink, the shower, the toilet - no water at all. Someone came to look and said the water had been turned off in the corridor, and turned it back on again whilst saying he'd better find out why it had been turned off in the first place! Went out for the evening and when we returned at around 2am, there was no running water again. Complained to reception who put us in a different room that was absolutely freezing cold, it was a very frosty night and there had clearly been no heating on in that room at all. There was a small fan heater provided but it was too late to sit up for an hour while it warmed up the room, so spent a very uncomfortable, bitterly cold night. Appalling for the price.
Happy with the Hotel's facilities.
Great old building next to the station - huge car park. Food in restaurant was very good indeed.
Some noise from trains and road, but given the location that is inevitable. Unsympathetic refurbishment of reception and bar. Why did they go for a modern office look in this building? Restaurant not great ambience, bar rather clinical environment.
Conveniently located for Crewe station. Room warm and clean with good shower.
Rooms on road side of hotel may be noisy for light sleepers
Great hotel and facilities. All very clean and comfortable.
The temperature of the water in the shower was luke warm in Room 131 and therefore was not a pleasant experience to shower and wash my hair.
Location to the ground and easy to find, breakfast was excellant all round good value
Well clean n comfortable
Very close to Crewe station so useful for train travel The refurbishment was much needed and a definite improvement
Because it is so close to the station the noise of platform announcements and freight trains can be heard in the room
The bed was really comfortable
I had to notify the reception to turn off the extractor fans below are window twice
Customer service was excellent and very kind- great location 1 minutes to train station. Clean and spacious room
Good location in Crewe, right by the railway station.
Nothing really, even the rumble of the trains going through was quite comforting!
All of it
really clean and comfortable ! :)
The best bit about staying here was the bed I could of stayed in it all day
Ambience good, Staff very helpful and attentive.
The passing traffic noise was awful, we could not get to sleep, even with windows closed (room 105) Its only a matter of 20 yards from the A534, a main arterial road to the M6. Surely management must consider improving the window insulation, its crying out for secondary double glazing.
proximity to railway station - ease of transit to other centres
Much improved. The reception and the room we stayed in had recently been refurbished.
