Choice of food was disappointing on Sunday night
Great service LOVELY room clean and comfortable very nice decor throughout the hotel ours was a executive room so was good size.
Our friends had a normal double room was very nice but really quite small very little walking space.
The staff were generally very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and everything worked. The noise from parties was not invasive in the reception or bedroom. The dining area is open and pleasant and breakfasts was good - would have liked pots of natural yogurt too. Thank you - we generally had a lovely stay.
We were late for dinner and were provided with sandwiches and chips. They tasted fine but were poorly presented without any attempt at garnish - so this could and should have been done better, we were paying for this, and were grateful that we were provided for, however that does not excuse this lack of presentation, which reflected an attitude. Actions speak louder than words. I absolutely do not like being served milk in a gravy boat. When I asked why I was told that a lot of milk jugs were being used in the function room. I felt it was disrespectful. Many of your clients would not notice perhaps however the point is that standards, are standers.
Hotel clean. Nice spa and reception staff efficient and friendly.
Breakfast staff very poor. Bad service - at second request coffee arrived but never got toast yet. A couple of staff clearly didn't want to be there. Service at bar on evening very poor, no staff there for over 5 mins.
good quality breakfast
Room was clean and comfortable, dinner was of a good standard and a very large variety of breakfast choice. Room wasn't too hot to sleep in - unlike some hotels.
Had to wait 55 mins for my dinner. People that ordered after me got their meal first.
Location and quality of both the accommodation and food. Reception staff were excellent and catered for our every need including arranging a late check out at short notice. Thank you
Excessive business being carried out in the bar area. There were numerous conference rooms and suites that could have been used.
The hotel was all together an excellent package
The staff we mainly friendly and helpful
Room was very poor as an executive! Was just a normal standard double and a small one at that! The room was extremely hot!! So much so I had to ask for a fan in the room! Which, to have any type of nights sleep needed to be on all night! Not ideal really!
Value for money, idealocation for what we required.
Was woken a few times in the night due to the banging of the corridor doors and/or other room doors. Also the amount of light from the corridor had to be blocked out under the door with a bath towel.
Staff are pleasant
Very limited menu if you are staying for more than a few days.
The new arrangements for serving breakfast. Self service is always better than waiting for disinterested staff to serve you.
Room was just a little too hot and no aircon.
Location as very close to my family and motorway, breakfast and restaurant was nice
Room was very small and wardrobe tv stations was poor would if been nice to get sky sports in the room and initially they tried to put us in the basement UNTILL my husband complained and then they gave us some drink vouchers to compensate
Friendly staff Comfortable beds Nice spa area
Pool was really nice
Room was small
Bed was massive! We had a standard room and it was quite big! The staff at the front desk were more than helpful!
The staff were excellent. From dealing with my early check in. To giving me a loan of phone charger. Nothing was a bother.
The location was great, the decoration was good, the spa was good.
We was disappointed we found the room was a little dirty, the toilet was smelly and I found the reception staff a little more concerned with issues they had rather than attending to my service. When I visited the reception I was disappointed that Victoria was somewhat more concerned with a colleague issue than attending to my enquiry, I can accept that in some cases maintenance is an important cause but perhaps these issues can be dealt with after attending to paying customers. Regards Ron Strathdee ( Business Development Manager )
Lovely hotel with really pleasant staff and good food.
It was very hot and there was no air con making it difficult to sleep also there was a thick duvet on the bed!!
Guest accommodation The complimentary and thoughtful extras; arriving very late after a 7 hour drive, everything i needed to rest and recuperate for a busy day was there and staff offered all possible assistance.
managing suitcase up the stairs - to be fair there was an offer of help but it seemed unusual not to have one lift available. I would happily stay again.
We came for an on-site family wedding; the hotel was great value, clean well appointed and the day went just as planned.
Nothing - I tavel a lot, stay in many hotels for both busines and pleasure, some traditional true 5*, we paid £59 for an excellent double room. I have paid much, much more for rooms which didn't come close to room 124 at Leyland BW. What more is there to say!!
Booked an executive room but it wasn't cleaned every day and im now beginning to think I got a standard room and was charged for an executive room.
We booked one night here for a friend's wedding - everything about it was brilliant; staff were friendly, comfortable nice-sized room and well-stocked with tea/coffee, towels and toiletries etc. The hotel is very unique with lots of lovely furniture and statues and is only a 10 minute walk to Leyland village and Railway station. Free Wifi in rooms and around hotel. Overall, a fantastic stay at a bargain price - would definitely recommend.
The shower door wouldn't open to let turn the bath taps so you had to get in the bath to turn the water on and when we reported it they suggested it was my strength. Very poor to blame the customer for poor maintenance. Poor ventilation in rooms and on honest day recently the windows were all shut.
Location, breakfast, smiling face and clean room
