The food in the restaurant in the evening was very good and well presented. A good choice of hot & cold food was available for breakfast. We were allocated a room which was down stairs and looking out striaght at a wall. We asked for another room and was moved to a room on the next floor. This was far better. The room was small compared to other hotels we have stopped in. The swimming pool is of a good size but the area is in need of a up grade.

I liked the fact that the hotel allowed my 9 year old daughter to fulfill her ambition of going in a jacuzzi. Most hotels do not allow children to use their facilities. In fairness, this was the only reason that I booked to stay at best western. There was a very limited menu in the bar area. Although I did visit on the 27th december, the bar wasn't very busy yet the food service was extremely slow.

Nice clean room. Free Wifi in room a big plus for us and all hotels should offer it. Good facilities. Can't review food as 'room only' on this visit No little packets of biscuits with the tea and coffee in the room :-(

Nice, clean hotel with big room & comfortable bed. Close to where I needed to be. Good gym & pool facility. The breakfast & service at breakfast was very poor which was a shame as the hotel otherwise was good. The wait for toast & coffee was long & they seemed understaffed & the buffet breakfast was just about edible so I opted for cereals but the choice was very limited. The tv in the room was about 30 years old with limited channels, when you are travelling alone its nice to have a good tv that actually works.!

Its location was just right. The friendlyness of the staff. We stayed here before and had no problems. This was our third time to stay at this venue. We where given our keys for the room and it was not cleaned so back to reception to be told we had to wait for the room to be cleaned. After a free drink we left our bags at reception and went out. We came back and where given a differant room. Fair play to the staff as they where run off there feet with a wedding reception. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

What an amazing find just off the motorway and near to our friend's wedding venue. The hotel decor was lovely and even better was the £10 deal each that included breakfast and the 2 hour free bar from 5-7pm!

Always friendly professional staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. Excellent facilities, large comfortable beds. Great location for motorway and rail network. Food is very good and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The leisure facilities are a plus. Always my first choice when visiting family and friends.

When checking out there was no staff on reception, surely at busy times there should be a member of staff to deal with you.

We had a warm welcome from staff at reception which was a great start. As we were only staying for one night enroute to Wales from Edinburgh,we decided to have dinner in the restaurant. The meal was excellent and well served. Though the staff were busy with two separate parties they were attentive to us too.We would certainly come again. This is not a complaint but a suggestion that on being told there was a free bar at a certain time with our booking,we should have been given a list of free drinks. We would have liked the use of a lift to the floor we were on.

The owners of this hotel obviously care about it and their guests. It felt welcoming, comfotable and well-maintained and the restaurant was excellent. The eclectic mix of sculptures in the grounds and public areas was delightful. It had the air of a good-quality London hotel, without the price tag. Bathroom had been renovated reasonably well but black mould was evident around the bath, which is a shame. Proximity to M6 meant that traffic noise was intrusive - triple glazing woudl probably fix this.

Lovely room, friendly helpful staff. Nice pool and sauna area. The restaurant was very nice but a little pricey. We had breakfast in the room, this should have been thirty pounds!! The food was late, cold and inedible. I would not recommend this breakfast. However the receptionist was very helpful and discounted us with the room service charge, making the cost twenty pounds, Still too much in our opinion.
