easy excise from motorway
wedding party children running around lounge
Food was excellent and room was faultless. Easy check in and out.
Leisure centre staff were not very professional or polite. Nobody on the desk when we got there so had to wait a while for a towel and to get access. Forgot to press a button on the wall to exit the changing room and got a right royal telling off in front of other guests!! Leisure facilities are excellent, some staff training on customer service may well be in order!!!
When we arrived to check in a wedding party were just exiting the ceromany room which is left of the entrance which I felt was very impersonable for the bridal party trying to have photo's taken with hotel guest cutting across them to gain access to the reception area or trying to exit the hotel - really not ideal, a seperate entrance should be made available to allow exclusive use of the area for the bridal party
This is the 2nd time me and my partner have stayed here in the last few weeks and it just keeps getting better. Fantastic staff, always kind and helpful. Absolutely LOVE IT here... will be returning very soon
Really nice hotel in a great spot just off the motorway. The hotel was busy with a wedding party so we expected it to be a little noisy but we were put far enough away not to hear a peep. Lady on reception was lovely. Room was spacious and comfy with all the added bits like drinks and toiletries. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing, it was great.
The breakfast was good and also the wifi. Close to the offices in Chorley.
Lack of lifts. Bad internet in room.
Location Staff Food Facilities
Just been refurbished and room smelt a little of paint but that is only temporary - loved the montages on the Leyland wing bedroom walls
Despite a late check in, the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was also nice to be able to enjoy a nightcap before retiring, as there is a 24 hour bar. The room was spacious and well appointed (wi-fi & all modern needs catered for) with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, too. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the leisure facilities, but we hope to return someday for a longer stay.
No lift from reception to lower ground floor, my 90 year old father -in-law had to negotiate stairs whenever we went to/from our rooms.
Friendly staff, Quirky décor, Good price. Convenient for M6. Comfy and clean room. Excellent restaurant. No black mould in bathroom
Clean but tatty bathroom with loose fittings. Tatty bedroom corridors
A luxury feel at a great value price. breakfadt was fantastic with plenty of choice. Spotlessly clean, although we didn't use facilities looked excellent. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
My only complaint is the room was extremely hot, we did open the window but it was a little too noisy being not too far from the motorway.
Easy access to motorway
Choice of food was disappointing on Sunday night
Great service LOVELY room clean and comfortable very nice decor throughout the hotel ours was a executive room so was good size.
Our friends had a normal double room was very nice but really quite small very little walking space.
Proximity, decor, lovely leisure facilities, which was very welcome after a long drive. Comfortable, quiet room, considering so near the M6 motorway!
Food in restaurant was good, but do object to having to pay for extra vegetables when main courses were expensive enough. Really angry at receiving a bill when we arrived home with our credit card being charged for pillows, which was after we had left the hotel and for which we did not have. I telephoned to speak to someone concerning this and was promised someone would call me back. No one did. After 3 days I called again (at my expense for a second time)! and received an apology and was told my account would be reimbursed. On Tuesday when I checked my account, this amount was still showing. I was also offered, as a gesture of goodwill, your loyalty card system to receive points on further bookings with Great Western and that extra points would be added to it for the inconvenience caused. I am waiting to receive this. C Mills (Mrs)
The staff were generally very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and everything worked. The noise from parties was not invasive in the reception or bedroom. The dining area is open and pleasant and breakfasts was good - would have liked pots of natural yogurt too. Thank you - we generally had a lovely stay.
We were late for dinner and were provided with sandwiches and chips. They tasted fine but were poorly presented without any attempt at garnish - so this could and should have been done better, we were paying for this, and were grateful that we were provided for, however that does not excuse this lack of presentation, which reflected an attitude. Actions speak louder than words. I absolutely do not like being served milk in a gravy boat. When I asked why I was told that a lot of milk jugs were being used in the function room. I felt it was disrespectful. Many of your clients would not notice perhaps however the point is that standards, are standers.
Hotel clean. Nice spa and reception staff efficient and friendly.
Breakfast staff very poor. Bad service - at second request coffee arrived but never got toast yet. A couple of staff clearly didn't want to be there. Service at bar on evening very poor, no staff there for over 5 mins.
good quality breakfast
Room was clean and comfortable, dinner was of a good standard and a very large variety of breakfast choice. Room wasn't too hot to sleep in - unlike some hotels.
Had to wait 55 mins for my dinner. People that ordered after me got their meal first.
Location and quality of both the accommodation and food. Reception staff were excellent and catered for our every need including arranging a late check out at short notice. Thank you
Excessive business being carried out in the bar area. There were numerous conference rooms and suites that could have been used.
The hotel was all together an excellent package
The staff we mainly friendly and helpful
Room was very poor as an executive! Was just a normal standard double and a small one at that! The room was extremely hot!! So much so I had to ask for a fan in the room! Which, to have any type of nights sleep needed to be on all night! Not ideal really!
Value for money, idealocation for what we required.
Was woken a few times in the night due to the banging of the corridor doors and/or other room doors. Also the amount of light from the corridor had to be blocked out under the door with a bath towel.
Staff are pleasant
Very limited menu if you are staying for more than a few days.
The new arrangements for serving breakfast. Self service is always better than waiting for disinterested staff to serve you.
Room was just a little too hot and no aircon.
