I liked the reception we received when we arrived as we had travelled from Spain and required to stay overnight before returning home the next day. The check in was conducted very efficiently and we were made to feel very welcome. The location was superb and we were offered the option of a high level floor. The room was very clean and comfortable and we were able to get great views over the city. There were lots of bars shops and restaurants in close vicinity to the hotel which was great for going out at night. The service in the restaurant was superb. The restaurant was very airy bright and comfortable and the food was of excellent quality. Will certainly return and already planning a short stay before Christmas.

Good location, nice clean modern hotel and friendly staff. Parking charges and wifi has to be paid for. Parking should be free for hotel guests and to charge for wifi is below the belt.

the hotel staff were amazing especially the lovely woman who checked us in and arranged wake up call for us - as we didnt know our way around manchester she was excellent at offering directions - the room was cosy and clean and ideal for my partner and i. i cant hink of anything bad to say about this hotel or its staff - the only sad part was when we had to check out as we had enjoyed ourselves so much

The Mercure was the best value of the type of hotel I like to stay in. It was easy to get to from Manchester Picadilly station. And the staff were very nice and friendly.

central location noise, i was on the 6th floor but could stil hear loud music at midnight, i was also opposite the lifts which made the room very noisy due to lots of people coming and going.

The central location in the city, only about 5 min walk from train station. Room comfortable & clean. Brilliant view from the bar and breakfast room. Excellent choice for breakfast. Not really a complaint but did feel sorry for the lady on meet and greet on sunday breakfast, she had to check people in and then walked them to the table, I thought maybe people could find a table for themselves, as I was eating my breakfast there was quite a queue building up I I'm sure some people would find that annoying.

City centre car parking at not too extortionate rates. City center location. Clean. Good efficient working lifts. Convenient restaurant /bar Room was rather small and not very soundproof from surrounding rooms. Rooms should have power outlet by the bed for the modern travelers who use their mobile phone as alarm etc and need to charge them overnight.
