Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel  

I liked the reception we received when we arrived as we had travelled from Spain and required to stay overnight before returning home the next day. The check in was conducted very efficiently and we were made to feel very welcome. The location was superb and we were offered the option of a high level floor. The room was very clean and comfortable and we were able to get great views over the city. There were lots of bars shops and restaurants in close vicinity to the hotel which was great for going out at night. The service in the restaurant was superb. The restaurant was very airy bright and comfortable and the food was of excellent quality. Will certainly return and already planning a short stay before Christmas.

Excellent service from arrival (arrived early but we were allowed to check-in) to when we departed (really friendly staff). Will be coming back for sure.

I liked my stay at mercure it was very warm and friendly very clean ,the staff were very helpful and greeted you with smiles the food was lovely , the lifts were nice and it was very quiet no one was noisy

The rooms are in need of an update, especially the bathrooms,

Staff friendly and helpful, great location I won't be rushing back only because the rooms looked tied and no air con so very hot.

Thi.s hotel was very good for a weekend break. Easy access to all areas. A great way to get around is on the trams.staff are very helpful and polite. We had excellent breakfast and a huge choice.

We had a great visit to this hotel. It was in a fantastic central location, it was very clean, and the staff we very nice and friendly. The lady on reception was very chatty and kind and gave us free breakfast on both days of our visit. The lady in the breakfast buffet was very lovely and kind and we felt very welcome all weekend. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and was very welcomed! This hotel was above our expectation and I would definately stay here again. Room Tip: We were on the 12th floor and the view was fantastic looking out over the city!

No pool

The staff seemed friendly and helpful at reception when checking in and two staff worked together to check us in quickly which showed great initiative. At night time there was security on the portland street entrance which made you feel very secure. The location is excellent and perfect for groups of friends as well as couples.The rooms were a moderate size but very clean and decor was lovely.

We ordered two drinks from room service and after 40 mins with no communication we called to cancel as we had plans made for dinner, there was a half hearted apology from room service who told us they were very busy. I understand this but it would have been better if we had been told this when ordering or if they called after 15 or 20 mins to explain the delay. Having already paid for our stay on arrival we were then asked to pay the "room service" bill that we had cancelled and had not been received, this was then removed from the bill and was handled very well by the receptionist when checking out.

Everything! The staff were outstanding, making us feel like the most important guests there! I had forgotten my iPhone charger and David on reception happily recharged my phone using his recharger ! An absolutely fabulous hotel !
