Hotel very central for shopping etc. so close to train station. Staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Dinner was lovely And nit too expensive... The hotel made our trip away extremely enjoyable.
I liked everything about the hotel. Nothing I didnt like
loved the view out the lounge windows at piccadilly gardens
we were a bit disappointed that the linage was closed on 1st jan which meant we had to sit in our room, which was conducive for this.
No concerge Poor reception people except one eygptian man Very small rooms and old hotel
The fact that you can park your car on the Hotel car park!
Nothing all excellent.
The staff were great with us and very warm. Lovely stay overall.
Bathroom was a little dated to the rest of the building.
Excellent location, friendly staff, very good breakfast
Small bedroom, poor wi-if
Everything was good except the breakfast times.
Breakfast was surved till 12noon on a Sunday. But we weren't told it was only surved till 10am on the monday. So unfortunately getting there at 10:05am we were told it was no longer open. As it had only just finished I would have liked the staff to have offered us at least a bowl of cereal. But we weren't, Although we had already paid for it. And there wasn't any info in the room stating when breakfast was served till.
Great staff Lovely breakfast Clean and comfy room
Staff were lovely Didn't use bar or restaurant so can't comment on them.
Dated décor and mouldy window frames. Had a 9th floor room with 'view' of Piccadilly Gardens except couldn't see out due to condensation Poor sound insulation so woken several times in the night Slow lifts
location was great hotel was spotlessly clean breakfast was great value for money Overall hotel was good value for money
bed was small
Excellent Location. Very Clean. Friendly Reception staff.
Room was tiny, as was bed. Bit noisy at night.
Location, very helpful staff, close to rail station friendliness of the people of manchester
having to go home
Never been to Manchester before and booked this for its location to the arena and what a gem it was had a brilliant view from our room staff all very courteous and breakfast was of a high standard on any future trip to Manchester the mercure would be the first choice perfect for the arena and of course all of the shops
If any negative had to be picked we felt the room took a while to heat up from us arriving but it was particularly cold out when we were there
the hotel was very clean and in a prime location. the shower was amazing it was so powerful.
there was noise from the hallway in the night that woke us up and i thought 97 pound for a wednesday night was a tad expensive.
* Great building * Warm inside * Great views from bar and for breakfast * Nice big bathroom * Good breakfast
Tv signal and wifi signal very poor. I was on floor 12 in a room right next to the lifts and could hear a beeping noise after 11pm outside my room. Worst part was waiting over 10 minutes for the lift from floor 12 to reception with my heavy suitcase then a further 20 minutes in reception in a huge que with only one girl on reception. Not good enough and I was late for work as a result. No apology at reception.
Leaving the Mercure.........
Room alarm set-off (not fire-alarm) by the hotel while on a conference call. Being told i couldn't extend checkout by an hour to complete a business call(What a Joke!). The funny side of the story is i accidentally booked the Mercure(wanted to stay at the Malmason).
helpful staff, clean and well resented and good location.
location, comfortable room
no imformation or booklets with map in room which would have been helpful as it was our first stay in Manchester and a hotel restaurant menu in room would have been good.room was a liitle cold at times
Excellent location in town centre and close to theatres and amenities.
Price was a bit step
Hotel is worn out, small bedrooms, way too expensive.
