Bit noisy at night
The view from the window looked very nice
Was charged twice for the room so a 80 pound room looks to of cost me over 200 pound real hassle to get money back when it is rightly yours in the first place, flea on the bed and it wasn't us as we don't have pets absolutely disgusted will not be staying here again thats for sure
Slow check out Ill fitting bathroom door Noisey as room was by the lift
Location and comfortable room
No breakfast included in rate
Bed and location
Faulty door keys 2 journeys to reception plus 30 minutes delay to room. Fan not working in bathroom, serious fault???
Proximity to shopping and phpnes4u arena
Breakfast plates not warmed and food was warm not hot Toast more like hot bread
Room outside lift, very noisy had no sleep. Lifts always full
Very good position and very well connected with bus station. Hi speed wifi good enough to watch movies on hd steaming.
Really really small room, TV signal very poor, windows with lots of drafts, no minibar, no spa.
Convenience to city centre.
Room noisy. Bathroom dated. What should have been a lovely view of Piccadilly obscured by permanent condensation inside double glazing....couldn't see a thing!
The location, the comfort of the bed, the facilities.
The price - due to Christmas markets being on, hotels clearly took advantage of this. The breakfast choice was poor - the hotel was clearly full - and so breakfast items (continental) were not replenished enough.
The location was excellent for shopping, bats and restaurants. Easy to locate by either road or from the train station. Friendly staff and a clean, comfortable room.
Location Perfect, dinning area spectacular
The location of this hotel is is definite hallmark. Sitting just on the doorstep of Piccadilly Gardens is difficult to get more central. The staff is very kind and adds this little bit of comfort to the stay. The breakfast buffet is very good with freshly prepared options as well. We enjoyed our two nights stay very much and I can imagine this being a perfect place for a business stay especially with the second room of the privileged room readily turned into an office or meeting room.
We stayed in their "Privileged room" which had an adjacent living room which was quite nice but the bed was just a regular double and was a bit tired. The advertised coffee machine was indeed there but you'll use it only if you're a great fan of espresso, as the machine doesn't make anything else.
location was good good room service parking available at hotel
for cost of room it was quite small and basic. tv did not tune in well and small selection of channels very limited info with regards to hotel facilities coffee making facilities same as hotel at half the price can hear neighbouring rooms quite easily
Although I reported a non-working TV, nobody did anything about it. The Security catch on the door was missing. The double-glazing windows were of an extremely poor quality. The room should have been equipped with a suitcase stand.
The bed was very comfortable.
The windows were the worst I've ever experienced. In fact, there were two but neither closed properly, allowing the winds of December to flow freely into the room. The warm air flowing from the heating system was no competition for mother nature. How can it be that with all of the talk about saving energy that a 'modern' hotel like Mercure has windows like this in 2014? A hotel guest's comfort depends greatly on the atmosphere (temperature and noise levels) in the room. High-quality windows which keep out noise and keep in warmth are imperative.
I liked the most the location of the hotel.
I didn't like the wifi. It was really slow and poor. Shower was a bit tricky to work
Room comfortable, good restaurant
Walls seemed to be a little thin
Good location near metro line and shops. Food very good. Staff helpful and pleasant. Fantastic panoramic view from the bar.
Room very basic like a student's room. No drawers to put clothes in. Poor quality bathroom accessories. No air vent or window in bathroom. No plug by tray with kettle on.
Cold room, heating didn't work. Was on the top floor under the lift mechanism, noisy. Came in from a day out and room not serviced.
Mercure is ideally located to access any if the various markets located around the City centre
We arrived in Manchester around 10:30am the staff allowed us to leave our bags in the hotel until our check in time. The man who checked us into our room happened to be his first day on the job, I would never of known this as he was very professional and helpful. The location was perfect for the purpose of our visit.
There was no bad points to our stay, we both very much enjoyed ourselves.
Situated in the heart of the city near the main station so it was perfect for me to go about my meetings. Well equipped room and quite comfortable.
Nothing in particular. As a business hotel it does the job.
Very comfortable bed Friendly and helpful staff On site car park
Disappointing that a high class (and certainly not cheap) hotel does not provide a shower cap or moisturiser. Only one packet of biscuits in a double room and a rather mean supply of tea, coffee and milk.
