Superb location with or without a car. Free car parking was highly valued. Fire doors could do with a coat of paint, although that's being a bit picky.

It was cheaper than a lot of the other hotels in the area, but you get what you pay for. We only needed a bed for the night, so it was ok. The room was very small and the hotel was very out dated. The deco' needs modernising.

bed comfy reception staff not very helpful, no tourist or info literature, entrance grubby, large ashtray full of dog-ends in entrance, ridiculous unassisted walk up and down stairs with luggage. no sense of a greeting or welcoming, place seemed run down and deserted.

Room was nice, had all you need for a short stay.Clean and warm. It was the most noisy room I have ever stayed in.The window catch was not even there and it was replaced with a catch/bolt from a garden shed,so all night long all you could hear was traffic going passed,so sleep was out of the question.

The staff were pleasant although I noticed they did not ask 'how was your stay?' I wonder if this is because they are fed up of being moaned at about the state of the hotel? Free parking on site which was good and bus stop right outside I am a positive, optimistic person who can generally find the good in everything - I never right poor reviews but I feel it only honest to say, I could not wait to get back to my own home! The hotel was dirty: I got bitten by someting whilst in bed!!! The plumbing and pipes banged and whilstled for ages after the toilet was flushed anywhere in the hotel at any time of night or day!! The heating in ouor room was broken but left on so we couldn't turn it down and it was like a sauna and we had to open the windows which opened onto the busy main road. I am so glad we never opted to have breakfast and went to the lovely Harvester up the road instead!! There was no shower, no loo brish and the bed had horrid scratchy itchy blankets. I love Brighton and enjoyed my time with my partner in the city and we found our situation Fawlty Towers style funny but I would never stay there agin not ever!!

Convenient for access to Brighton with good parking. Staff were polite and friendly.. Unspecified Italian table wine as the only wine on offer in the bar, it was not what I would expect from an hotel. Almost no vegetarian option on the menu, and no option for dining without being subjected to the endless television. The balcony doors did not close well and we were therefore subjected to a lot of road noise.

Free car park very unusual for Brighton & Hove, spacious room & en-suite, bed was comfortable. Good value, only paid £29.00 for the room, you can'nt get much better than that despite my dislikes! Badly needs a refurbishment, very dated. Also noisy, my room was on the main road & I could hear the guests in the neigbouring rooms. I was given my room walked in & it stank of smoke so I returned to reception & was given another room. This should have been dealt with by the cleaners.

Why did my girlfriend and I have to wait more than 5 minutes to be let in when we arrived back at the hotel. I appreciate that it was 2am, but if you say you are a 24 hour facility, I see no reason why we should have to stand in the freezing cold for such a long period of time. Disappointed with the attitude of the staff, which left a bad taste.
