Surprisingly very clean and comfortable, staff very friendly. The 'double bed' was two singles fit together which was a little uncomfortable. Also a little overpriced in my opinion.

This is the second time we have stayed at Jersey Arms Hotel, The location is ideal for us as we were going to a race meeting at Silverstone which is only 30mins away. The rooms are comfortable and our evening meal and breakfast were both excellent with plenty of choice.

I was travelling alone and felt completely safe at the hotel. The welcome was warm and my room was, as requested, away from the road and very quiet. The room was a double room, light and spacious and the bathroom was clean and although there were no towels on arrival, these were quickly supplied. The evening meal was excellent: I spent a pleasant half an hour in the bar before choosing from the extensive menu and going into the dining room where I enjoyed a delicious dinner in delightful surroundings. The public areas of the hotel are quaint and intimate, a great example of traditional coaching inns. The owner was at the bar and he and his staff could not have made my stay more relaxing. The location was perfect, near Bicester, with the shopping village and Oxford very close by. It would be important to have a room away from the roads: the hotel is at the junction of four key routes. Each day the room was cleaned and fresh towels were provided. There was a garden in front of the room and a spacious car park opposite. I would be very happy to spend more time at the hotel: it was very good value for money and a rare find for the price. There was nothing to complain about.

Location was ideal for the purpose of our visit. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was not good value, with a poor buffet selection and food not served hot. Parts of bedroom were very dusty. Internet connection was intermittent and unreliable. Greeting on arrival was not very friendly and welcoming.

Not value for money. Hotel very tired, desperately needs updating. Room not very clean. Everything dingy and depressing. Will not be staying here again.

The Staff and the location are the only 2 favourable points that I would consider under this heading !! The hotel is in need of a complet upgrade the rooms are tired I was given an up grade as the staff member said the room I would have was not that good the upgrade was nice but the room and sitting room were disappointing an old style small tv, not worth having on, the bedroom was really a poor showing... I had stayed here over a year ago and there has been no improvment in the rooms at all....The only good part of this room was the Toilet and shower......

The managers were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was quite charming with quirky features and non standard fitments We thought it rather quiet and out of the way, certainly something that was not obvious on the internet advert. As a result the evening meal was very quiet as there was only one other couple eating who finished their meal not long after we started ours. With no local people in either bar or restuarant the whole place was rather dead. Although we were hoping it would not be noisy it was a little too much the other way.

“When we drove down the drive our first view was the scenic view of the golf course, which is fantastic. We were checked in by a smiling receptionist who was efficient and knowlegeable. The room was bright, clean and comfortable. We used the restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent.” Colin, Nottingham |
