The Jessop Townhouse - Bed & Breakfast

It's located right in the heart of the town. The building was full of character and we had a huge bedroom. They did a really lovely breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back there.

Minor points but there is limited parking and no air conditioning. Also, we only had a shower and no bath in our bathroom. The decor and furnishing in our room was dated.

The room was nice, quiet, confortable with small garden and parking.

Breakfast was minimalist if not surreal: we were offered one toast to share between us.

We received a friendly welcome and our parking problem was quickly resolved. Our rooms were excellent and very far from the cupboard-sized space so often allowed for single rooms. I was particularly delighted with the provision of digital radio. We thought the breakfast arrangements were sensible and enjoyed the quality of the meal. Our only regret was that our stay was for only one night.

The quietness, despite the proximity to the main road, and the helpfulness/friendliness of the staff.

The room I was given did not have the bijou charm that the website suggested: it had been redecorated to a very plain scheme, with ill matching furniture.

The owners were very friendly without being too 'in your face' - we felt really at home. The breakfast was excellent. The room was really quiet as well, with no noise from other guests, which we consider really important.

Proximity to the facilities in the town. Spacious room although the bathroom was very small.

Customer service needs to be addressed.

Church clock chimes every hour and half hour throughout the night so have to keep window closed.

The service was excellent - the choices for breakfast, and their quality were superb. For the first night we had to park in a public car park, and a member of staff accompanied us to ensure we found the easiest route.

Nothing specific; it was quiet and pleasant and breakfast was served on time.

Probably as a result of the weather and the tendency to flooding in that area I was very cold those nights and I did have to make use of the blanket-in-the-wardrobe. But it was a double bed blanket which would not have been the point if there had been t wo of us in the room.
