Situated in Tewkesbury, close to the magnificent abbey, this 18th-century townhouse offers individually designed rooms, free Wi-Fi and free parking for 4 cars. It retains many old features, including traditional fireplaces. Rooms at Jessop House are spacious, with king-size or larger beds. Each comes with a flat-screen TV, seating area, and a beverage tray for making tea and coffee. The bathrooms have toiletries and a hairdryer. Each morning, you can choose from a wide-ranging breakfast menu. Options include full English breakfast, eggs, cereals and fruit. A variety of drinks are available in the bar. The M5 motorway is a 5-minute drive from the building, while shops and bars can be reached in around 10 minutes on foot. The owners, Chris and Steve, are very friendly and informative. Our breakfasts were cooked to perfection and there was an excellent choice. The decor is beautiful and representative of the age of the hotel; it was very comfortable and would stay there again if I could. I have recommended it to others and will continue to do so. Value for money is excellent. I liked everything about it.

Chris and Steve were wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. Really handy there are some parking spaces, Great restaurant (Owen's) just a couple of hundred yards from Jessop House. We would definitely stay there again.

Very clean, friendly and the owners were genuinely interested in us as a family. Excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms. Great location too surrounded by pubs and shops and a river to walk along of an evening. There is also on site parking which was a bonus to us. We throughly enjoyed our stay in the hotels family room. I understand that this room is to be renovated in the coming weeks which will be ideal to modernise and really bring up to date.

Steve & Chris are doing a wonderful job renovating this lovely old Georgian house. They are retaining many of the original features but making it comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast is one of the best we have ever had - all produce local and organic. We will certainly return when next in the Cotswolds.

We had a wonderful 3 nights in this lovely hotel. The bedrooms had been recently decorated to a very high standard. We were given a very warm welcome and immediately felt 'at home' in this lovely house. Our bedrooom was very large with a comfotable bed, settee and coffee table, with modern television. We had a view of the Abbey from our windows. It was like spending the the weekend in a modern apartment. The breakfast was a delicious full English. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Very hospitable hosts, who made my wife & me very welcome. Lovely old property in an excellent central location, close to shops, pubs, restaurants and the abbey. As regular travellers, we felt that the cost of our room (plus the £7.95 pp charge for breakfast) was a little excessive. The breakfast was chaotic due to the number of guests exceeding the covers available.

Everything! So easy to find which always helps when going away. It was me and my mum travelling and we were unable to park in the hotels car park but I had read before hand that accross the road is the Abbeys' car park which ia payable until 5.30pm on a Saturday and Free on a Sunday so we only had to pay £1 and walk accross. We had a great welcome from both the owners which was lovely and shown personally to our room. She also offered us fresh milk for the tea and coffee rather than the usual uht that was in there also. The room was large and more than adequate for what we needed it for. We arranged breakfast and pre-ordered what we wanted and the next morning it came out, so fresh and tasty - they home bake the granola and bread which makes a difference. All other guests seemed to be loving it too and really complimenting breakfast. We were on check out taken to our car by the owner who carried our luggage and offered such a personal service. I would not hesitate to reccommend the hotel to anyone as it was fantastic value and in a superb location.

Ich bin auf das Angenehmste überrascht gewesen. Im Vergleich zur normalen Größe englischer Hotelzimmer waren unsere Zimmer Tanzsäle. Die Gastgeber waren außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend. Sie haben für uns im Vorfeld Konzertkarten für die Symphony Hall in Birmingham besorgt. Das Frühstück war eine Wucht: jeden morgen frisch nach vorheriger Bestellung gekocht. 10 von 10 möglichen Punkten. Immer wieder gern.
