The location was good for the Hoe, the Barbican and the city centre. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was up six flights of stairs with no lift, the breakfst was very mediocre. We cxhose the hotel on the basis of reviews on your website, which were good.

Our room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. We had no problem with noise so we were able to have a relaxing sleep. On street parking was easy to get. We had a nice welcome when we arrived and were given good advice as to where to go for a nice evening meal.Within easy walking distance to the beach areas and park.Breakfast was very nice with nothing too much trouble for our host..Would stay there again and definitely recomend to friends.

Warm welcome, very reasonably priced for the location near the Hoe. Perfectly adequate as no frills accommodation. The triple room we booked is a bit of a tight fit for three.

Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Spotlessly clean rooms, furnished and decorated to a high standard. Helpful staff. Beautiful breakfast. Towels in en suite were rather small. Would recommend guests take their own bath towel.

Nothing but nothing is ever too much trouble at Jewells. Very friendly, open and sincere approach to making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. It is a long hike up the 3 flights of stairs to the top floor, with no lift. But well rewarded by the view when you arrive!!

Very friendly staff and the room was clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, I liked the fact the shower was a constant hot supply of water. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of food. Our room was at the top and there is no lift so we found that quite uncomfortable and stopped us from making too many trips out, We made some refreshment but it was horrid. I think it was either the water, the coffee or the long life milk. The water was drawn from the bathroom tap. Because we were at the top of the house we could not just pop out and get a cup of tea.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly . Our car was parked close by in a safe spot . The hotel was right in the middle of the historic part of Plymouth with easy walking to everything we wanted to see and do.

Excellent, 8.8
Score from 224 reviews
“Apart from being very good value, the reviews were very good for the hotel and that's always important. The staff were excellent - friendly and welcoming. The room although fairly basic was comfortable, warm and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and the evening meals they are now serving were good quality and very good value. Weather whilst we were there was not great but the quality of the staff and the hotel made up for it. We will use the hotel the next time we are in Plymouth.” Christopher, Basingstoke |
