Excellent room with a great little bathroom and shower. The breakfast was excellent too. I really couldn't fault anything.
Comfortable, good breakfasts, wifi in rooms, very clean
Ground floor room allocated to an elderly and infirm member of our party, deep step into room with light switch BEHIND the door. We were very lucky not to spend the night in A&E. We were told at reception "mind the step" but it is not enough.. THIS IS DANGEROUS. 80 year old lady has large bruise on head and badly bruised ribs and hip
Clean, relaxed, friendly service, plenty of tea/coffee in room and a good hearty breakfast. Ample parking for guests.
Living in a cul-de-sac we are not used to as much traffic noise.
Excellent breakfasts. Handy location. Nice planters outside hotel.
Noisy room at front of hotel. Bright light outside room on hotel forecourt.
The room was very comfortable and the beds were amazing - wish we stayed another night!
We could hear the person next door to us snooring!
Lovely breakfast, room was generally OK, in need of modernisation and upgrading.
slippery bathroom floor, very small bathroom, toilet leaking.
Very pleasant proprietor and efficient staff. Ample parking space. Excellent choice at breakfast. Well deserves its 4 star status and would certainly stay again.
The bed, we are used to wider beds.
I stayed in th annexe, "the Lodge", which has its own car park. I parked on the right hand side, under a tall tree, and had to spend 10 minutes in the morning cleaning a huge quantity of pigeon droppings off my car. Park on the left hand side, where there is no tree!
Comfortable bed and good breakfast. My single room had a double bed that made it a bit if a squeeze to get to bathroom . All in all a nice place
Checked in late and key was left for me. Great breakfast, very comfy bed.
Two spiders were in the corner of the room. Other guests banging around in the middle of the night.
We liked the reading room with its cosy atmosphere very much. The breakfast was above standard, the coffee very good. The personnel was always very freindly and helpful.
lovely breakfast , plenty of choice, nice clean comfortable room.. location perfect ...
The hotel had no atmosphere.. other than one friendly girl serving at breakfast , no other staff / management really bothered to make any conversation...
If you visit this area, this is the place to stay. Can't fault it, good value for money and good food
Had to get past the regulation pubic hair on the bathroom shelf, which happens so often in hotels. Just a bit more inspection after cleaning please. Can't fault anything else.
Breakfast was very well cooked with a good choice
staying in the Lodge, a short walk from main hotel (when friends were all in hotel)
I only stayed one night at The Jingles. Warm welcome, spotless room, very nice breakfast and only about 15 mns walk from the harbour and all the restaurants. Do remember to book the restaurant though as they get very busy. I ended up with take away fish &chips as I could not get a table!
Avoid Room 1. It is too close to the reception and the bell, too close to the lounge and to the breakfast room. I could not get to sleep in the evening because of the noise of people chatting in the lounge, and was woken up early because of the noise in the breakfast room. I expect Room 2 is the same.
My room at the back of the hotel was very quiet and dark so I had an excellent night's sleep. I also enjoyed the range of breakfast options.
The room was very small with no easy chair. I couldn't switch off the alarm on the clock radio so was woken up at 6.30am.
Good location, with plenty of car parking space, close to the A3M and A27, for an easy drive into Portsmouth. Also in an area with 4G coverage from O2 and Vodafone.
Freeview reception on a number of channels suffered intermittent pausing. This was not a Freeview+ receiver, so is not a feature (pause) of the remote control.
Easy to find, got a good nights sleep. Fery good breakfast
I happened to go to breakfast 10 minuits too early as wanted to get on motorway before traffic and was met by a very unfriendly and rude lady. The rest of my stay was good
Clean room with towels and toiletries and hairdryer. Good choice of food for breakfast. Selection of daily newspapers. Map of local area with amenities and phone numbers. Nice outside area for sitting.
EXCELLENT WIFI - IMPORTANT TO US SUPERB BREAKFAST - GOOD CHOICE GOOD PARKING CLEAN FACILITIES GOOD POSITION BOTTLED WATER IN ROOM
INITIAL GREETING COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE FRIENDLY ONE OF THE BEDS SQUEAKED THE ABOVE ARE REAL PICKY POINTS AS BASICALLY WE THOUGHT IT WAS GOOD - WOULD DEFFO STAY AGAIN
Nice welcoming place that gives you everything you need but leaves you loads of privacy and freedom.
Efficient Plenty of parking
No charm Very small bathroom No plain yogurt for breakfast No decent bread for breakfast
Beautiful home, friendly staff. Nice to be out of the business of big towns. Great restaurants and pubs nearby.
