Great location for easy access to Cambridge and River Cam. Food excellent as was the accommodation. Nice that rooms were separate from main pub building. A great 'find' and good value. Would definitely use again.
Convenient for Cambridge, free wifi, clean and comfortable room, very helpful and friendly staff. Room is like an American motel with acces from the car pak via a small walkway. Wasnt noisy though so not a problem. Pub lively and friendly place to be as a lone traveller.
Bathroom small for a big person, price is quite high compared to other places of similar standard but reasonable considering location.
Location to Park & Ride (10 min walk) Lovely food Quiet & spacious room
Beer and food
Room clean & comfortable, Pub has a good menu and friendly staff
Shower wasn't great
Staff were very welcoming and friendly, large dining room serving excellent food. The room wasn't overly large but had everything we needed including a comfortable bed, tea and coffee etc. we hadn't been expecting much for breakfast as it was so reasonably priced so were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity.
My only slight niggle was that the rooms are adjoining the car park (think its an old stable block) and there was some noise when the pub emptied. It wasn't much though and it certainly wouldn't put me off staying again.
Very friendly staff, food excellent both meal in evening and breakfast. Will stay again.
Shower a bit weak on pressure.
Good accommodation, very nice pub with excellent food
The rooms were spacious, comfy and clean. Staff friendly and helpful, food, evening meal and breakfast great. Everything was value for money
Ideal for a nights stopover, all very clean and cosy. Pleasant helpful staff. Good location for Cambridge we would defiantly go back and hopefully have time to try the food
Would have liked a sign indicating where the car park was.
chef cooked a lovely breakfast bathroom was new and clean
no one to greet us in the morning for breakfast and had to ask chef to check us out, room was a bit tired and dated
Really nice food, friendly and helpful staff and a nice big bed. Easy parking in busy Cambridge.
very clean and comfortable, look very recently refurnished.. Staff all very friendly. Food was very good.
heat in shower was intermittent
we came earlier before noon (11:30) and the owner kept busy doing the gardening. They did not allow us to park the car in a garage before noon as they need 2 hours time for letting their dog to walk around or doing some excercise. when doing the room check-in, the owner kept busy taking care guests in the resturant and had no time to details us for the accomodation. We asked for the bus travelling time from their property to the town center, Ofcourse, they did not have any clue to answer this question. In addition, the bus will pass every half an hour which you arr better to park and ride which is about 2 miles from this property.
The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome, food in the restaurant was good. We will definitely stay again. Easy to find with parking directly outside the rooms.
Talking with the locals and their dogs while having a pint at their corner pub. The breakfast was good value and very tasty. Watching all the trucks go past that were full up with potatoes from the nearby farm.
The potato trucks, while interesting, went past all night long for both nights - not the B&Bs fault though. The shower was less than ideal.
The room was cosy, clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee making provided. TV & WiFi. It has a sort of mini motel feel, with a small row of rooms in a separate block adjacent to the car park at the back of the pub. (Would suit anyone with mobility issues) Its a quiet place with a nice restaurant room at the back. Staff helpful and friendly. Freedom to come and go as you please. It's in the right place for our purposes so we will probably go again.
No complaints really. One of the bedside lights didn't work, but I'm sure they would have fixed it if we had asked, everything else was fine.
Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere in the pub/bar. Ideal location for us. As we were leaving before breakfast they arranged for us to have sandwiches made to take with us, which was greatly appreciated.
The rooms were converted stables which are great but there was a lack of natural light. The shower wasn't particularly powerful and the hot water wasn't great, but adequate .. not a deal breaker!
Great place to stay to explore the city of Cambridge, really good accommodation attached to a county pub that serves quality food with a great atmosphere
Staff friendliness and the quality of the food (dinner and breakfast)
Nothing to comment on
The charm and history of the place. The Hotel attracts a small bunch of locals in the afternoon to add to the atmosphere. Rooms are great, meals great, staff too. Recommended.
WiFi patchy but free when it was there.
All the different beers and dinner was very good with great service
Friendly staff Good food.
Don't serve breakfast until 9am
Overpriced and far out of town.
we had a very pleasant stay at Jolly Brewers. Friendly staff and excellent food in the pub.
