Instant coffee at breakfast table

The family atmosphere was appreciated and the meals at the pub were great. The stay was relaxing with the bus to Cambridge just 100m away.

Really excellent food. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Staff were first class, all very friendly and welcoming, helpful and pleasant, Room was spacious, very clean with an excellent bathroom. Food in restaurant was very good and good value for the quality. Nice old pub in a nice area, very handy for Cambridge and onward travel.

Nowhere to sit tin the room. Could do with a couple of chairs or a settee. Coffee at breakfast was a pot of instant - nasty! Shame as breakfast was nice apart from that.

Honestly I expected an average place for the price but it was better than so called luxury places, nice bar, excellent food in the restaurant, very nice staff who were very patience with our lively two year old and of course the parents were left happy with the excellent beer!

Excellent place to stay just out of Edinburgh. Good restaurant.

The converted stables turned into rooms were very stylish, comfortable and spotless. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.

For our purposes the location was ideal. Together with the friendly pub atmosphere, great food,attentive staff, as well as the detached stable style bedrooms, it made for a excellent visit to the Cambridge area.

All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and the room itself was warm, cosy and really clean with a good shower and lovely towels. The breakfast was generous and the pub serves good value for money food if you fancy staying there for lunch or dinner.

Rooms are clean and large, bath/shower room clean and good towels. Food being prepared by young chef who did an excellent meal (freashly cooked food). Wi-fi was working in bedroom without charge.

I think that charging addition for breakfast makes the stay a little on the high side for pub / b&b accommadation (£80 /night).

Nice traditional pub offering really excellent accommodation. The breakfast was exceptionally tasty and the staff friendly and helpful.

The beef and ale pie would have benefited from a newly cooked pie crust beeing baked over the (thawed out?) excellent meat filling.
