Helpful staff and lovely surroundings
The whole offer was excellent
Would have preferred breakfast in the room rate
Friendly hotel in a great location
Lovely room, helpful staff.
Noisy group in bar while we were eating. Car parking facilities too far away from the hotel.
The request I made for an ice bucket and flutes in the room was met. We thought the little dish of sweets was a lovely touch and also even though our parking space request was not found on arrival we were accommodated. Very nice.
Given that our stay was December 13th, even with no heating on in the room it was very very warm, sleeping with the window open and outside the bedding. The lighting was also quite dim in the bathroom.
Location and reasonable price. Excellent value
Location was great for our needs. Staff were attentive and professional. Parking on site was brilliant. Bar on site was great, nice atmosphere for a Monday evening. Bathroom was nice but dark, shower good.
carpet was dirty lighting was extremely bad we upgraded to a suite but the photos on website are nothing like the room we stayed in. shabby and in need of TLC, shame because the potential is there.
Very friendly staff , nothing too much trouble ! Great boutique hotel lovely touches in bedroom and bathroom very plush .. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order from menu , very tasty !
Beds were very small as we had twin room , two single beds , very slim ! Lighting in bedroom & bathroom very dim , not good for putting ones make up on ...
Booked evening meal for 7.30 one of the first out, not much to pick from on menu, soup was poor, fish and hand cut chips were so bad we did not eat them, waiter said it was new chief, said I will give you 20% of your bill ,told him I was not happy, paid bill ,we went and had a Big Mac ,left hotel at 8.00am, had breakfast at home 3hr latter.
Great location for the swalec stadium. Gear room And good staff
The room. The atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Very clean. Well done.
Fantastic location, easy walk to the city centre. The evening meal was excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Very minor issue was that there was no shampoo in the bathroom. I hadn't packed any as hotels almost always provide.
Situation - 5 mins walk from city center Very helpful staff - Room bigger and better than expected -
Didn't have anything to moan about
Bottled water sweeties and lovely home made shortbread Nice breakfast Very convenient for my office Great shower
Wish they had mugs instead of tiny cups in the rooms Room a little small
Liked everything about this hotel and will definately come again!
Nothing I didn't like.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and, as before, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious and it's only a short walk through the park to be in Cardiff City centre. It's in a really great spot and I'd recommend it for easy access to theatre, gigs or a shopping trip. We'll be back next year.
Clean and nice decor. Friendly, helpful staff and ideally places for Cardiff City Central and The Millennium Stadium. Would highly recommend.
the location the bed
not enough light in the room seemed slightly cramped
The staff at Jolyons @ No.10 are incredibly friendly. We arrived a little early for our check-in and they took great care of our luggage while we explored the city centre (just a stone's throw away). When we scheduled our original trip to Cardiff, we requested a roof with a four poster bed. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule the trip and the particular room we requested was taken during our first night, but the staff was very kind and let us move rooms on our second day (with no extra fee). Both rooms were clean and tidy and both beds were very comfortable. The showers and baths were just as lovely. The TVs and other electronics in the room worked great, too. We would recommend this place to all friends and family who plan to travel to Cardiff as we plan to stay here again.
Literally cannot think of one complaint. Our first room was a bit smaller than our second room, however, the website does state each room is different in size, decor and bathroom facilities.
Staff were lovely and attentive
We booked a deluxe with four poster but only got a normal room. Room looked over am office block, bathrooms tiny and rubbish lighting. Suite had cigarette burns on the chair. ..dirty windows. ..fridge was off...television remote not working in bedroom. Manky dressing gowns NOT special enough to be a boutique hotel! !!
To many things to mention.
Comfortable Bed Large Room Good bathroom 2 x Televisions
Lack of Air Conditioning Lack of communication between Staff Someones half drunk drinks left in the Fridge Bulb gone in one of the bathroom lights Kitchenette half installed Televisions to high on wall to watch comfortably
The sweets. The bathroom. The refreshments in the room. Staff friendly & welcoming.
The overheated room - aircon didn't appear to be working and only one window would open. No pictures on the walls - made the room a little drab
Great staff, great location
They had a 21st birthday party in the bar downstairs while we were there, the noise from which was unbearable. They really need to think about who their market is.
The room was very large with all the facilities you need. The bathroom was a large wet room which was a nice touch. It's just off the city centre so very easy access to all the shopping and restaurants. This also meant it was less than a 5 minute walk from the start line of the Cardiff Half Marathon which was the purpose of my stay.
We were located directly above the function room. The music was playing here until 12am. We were advised there was a function on just not how loud it was going to be. Seeing as I needed my sleep for the half marathon this was not too helpful! The only other downside was the buffet breakfast. It was just very limited, but the cooked breakfast was done very quickly.
