Interesting maze, Free tea and coffee
Very convenient and the environment was comfortable and clean,
There was nothing that I didn't like.
staff helpfull and polite big room
not the cleanest place to stay could do with a revamp and no toilet roll or towels in room.
The bed was comfortable and the room was huge, value for money
When I got there I waited more than 10 mins for the receptionist, the hotel was so old it felt like the Adams family house and there was something crawling in the bath so I couldn't take a shower, luckily I stayed for just one night.
Free WiFi,nice big clean bed with big TV. Location was good too.
Had a good night sleep. Thanks
Could do with an overhaul
there was silver fish running around the bath, wall paper was ripped off, doors were all broken and repaired tv was all smashed up,carpets didnt fit, toilet was glued together with silicone, the matteress was nackered,
Reviews are really bad but Totally surprised when we get there, staff was really polite and helpful. Heating, hot water, everything about hotel was amazing. Can't complain. Will visit soon.
no heat in room needs to be updated t.v. was un watchable old furniture very thin quilt with no cover
Room we were allocated had no lock on the door just a chain, bathroom was full of mould, Bed spelt of urine, pillows were awful - no pillow cases and thin and shredded, left on the side for us to see!, No kettle was in the room, curtains were filthy dirty, TV did not work as no reception - was such an outdated tv im not surprised! Was not given a refund when we asked and refused to stay in the room, was moved to a room however this was better but still had issues - Shower was freezing cold, shot everywhere, carpet was damp in the bathroom and again tv did not work. I would not recommend this to a pet!!!
Rooms were filthy! Environmental health should be aware as bed bugs covered the bed and we slept in the car! Disgusting! Very old furniture, very dated and damp! How this hotel stays open is a wonder! Creaky floors. Windows don't open surely this is against any health and safety regulations?!
The reception staff were very courteous and friendly; the room was clean and well equipped; the price was very reasonable for a one-night stay.
The maze-like hallways/stairs were confusing and I feared that I couldn't find my way back out!
The plywood replacements in the windows as appose to glass. The windows that wouldn't shut and were 2" from shutting, therefore my room resembling a fridge with a bed. The disgusting state of the furniture, walls and carpet. My duvet resembled a piece of toilet tissue with two rizla papers for pillows. The shower that after getting a member of staff to finally get working for me ran cold!! Then their is the robotic staff that could only answer " you need to speak to the manager " when asked about a refund because of the disgusting state of the premises. Then when I did speak to the manager " Yousef " all he had to say was that I cancelled and because I was offered another room he wouldn't refund!! I didn't cancel, I asked respectfully to refund me as the rooms were of a terrible condition and why on earth would I be moved to another room in a hotel of this disgraceful standard. You should remove this excuse of a hotel from your website. I would feel guilty letting a rat stay at these premises. I hope that this review can stop any more people booking to stay there and then hopefully get this hotel management sorted out. If your even considering staying here "DON'T".
Next to Mcdonalds and fish shop
I liked Nothing! It was dirty, shower did not work at all, hardly any hot water. Dirty towels left from previous visitor. Television worked on one channel only which was somw obsure channel! Had to put a towel on floor to step on as it felt so dirty. No quilt or heating. Rain water had obviously been running down the walls with stains all over the two corner walls. Square of wood fixed to the ceiling where leaks were. Old dirty and completely disgusting and would never stay there again or recommend it!!!!!
Cleanliness apart, and the wardrobe not in good conditions, during our last night we heard a sort of ticking noise coming from ceiling that lasted all night long, and all I can guess about it is that it was like one or more rats running over our heads. And that's disturbing.
massive big bed, price, very clean, coffee making facilities
only 2 pillows on bed and only received one more when we asked, very dated, floor very squeaky in room and corridor, lots of stairs
The Room The Staff Some of the Guests Flee/bug bites Tiles mouldy & falling off the wall Window that would not stay shut General cleanliness Absolutely filthy dirty net curtains Staff attitude when i asked for an extra pillow, as the one that was on the bed was only about 20mm thick. Other guests that were checking out due to bug bites
-) dirty -) two windows closed with wooden panels. one open and not possible to close it. -) heating not working in one room -) TV remote control not working -) codwebs everywhere -) ceiling rotten over double bed -) used condom package under bed
The location is fairly ok. By bus it takes about 25 minutes to the centre. WiFi existed albeit a lot of the time it did not work, especially in the evening.
Well, mentioning everything we did not like about this place would result in a book... After arriving, we found out that our room had no window and of the four light bulbs in the room three were broken. Staff still did not fix it after advicing them four times. Sleeping was almost impossible because out of the corner besides the bed came a pungent stench of feces. At random times during the day and night a loud buzzing noise started that would not stop for one to two hours. All in all, this place was the worst place by far we have ever stayed in. Avoid by all cost. Bring a tent and sleep in the park, you WILL be happier.
Quirky nature of the room - luxury without the luxury!
General feeling of lack of interest in the upkeep of the hotel, inside and out. Boarded up windows which didnt open, gkasses from bar keft in drawers, lifeless feel to the place.
Nothing I'm afraid!
.........There is a limit. Lot of noise within the hotel. A maze like interior. I wouldn't want to have to get out in a hurry. Just seedy and dirty. Had two nights booked but left early morning after one. Booked into a Travelodge. £45.00 for a twin where this place was £25.00 for a single.
The room was large. This is the kind of place where TV's are screwed to tables and bedding is clean but not that clean. The staff are nice they will help and appease you. Cheap as cheap can be in a dog eat dog hotel world- the ritz it aint
the shower didn't work and the bath wAter was tepid And bath was moldy - not sure whether sleeping ontop of the covers or below the sheets was safer.
room smelt of damp , tv didn't work , bathroom light didn't work , wallpaper hanging on by it's fingertips . the icing on the cake bed Bugs
