Nothing other than location The bathroom was filthy the bath mat was beyond ever being made clean was not able to remove as stuck to the floor with grime !! there was something in the bottom of the toilet !! the bathroom floor had not been cleaned !! ( unbelievable !! there was not hot water - need I say more - . I did complain in the morning (we did not arrive until 10 pm so were too tired to moan at the time) but the response was "oh we will have to look into it "

Easy to find, car park, friendly No window in my room, so woulsn't suit a person who was claustrophobic. It was also very hot in my room, as the radiator was on full and you couldn't turn it down or open a window.

I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel unless you do not have standards. I would say it is worth £10 a night max! Keep away if possible

Very very disappointed. Room (number 470, "The Bumble Hole" it was called) was musty and hot as a sauna. A fan was provided in the room but spent the night feeling hot then cold. Tv remote didn't work and couldn't get the tv to change channel on the tv itself. There was no shower curtain so the carpet got soaked. The room was unclean. Curtains didn't close properly. Continental breakfast (included in the room rate) was very poor quality including bad tasting coffee from a Thermos flask, cheap bread and no staff in sight. We had paid £5x2 extra for English breakfast and didn't get it so had to hang around hotel for nearly an hour to get a refund - the duty manager or anyone with authority was "out"... Surely someone should have dealt with the issue immediately?..

The king-size bed was comfortable, but it lacked a headboard. Our room was classified as "de luxe" and it was not. There was only one bedlight for a double room, the television remote control did not work, the bathroom was unfinished and there was a bulb missing in the bedroom, resluting in a somewhat gloomy stay. This could be an interesting and quirky hotel with multiple staircases and puzzling corridors, but it very much had the air of a work in progress. They would have been better to update one section of the hotel at a time so as to secure recommendations. It's interesting that the Booking.com website contains more photographs than the hotel's own website.

Very poor, didn"t like anything about the hotel. Was very disappointed. Everything. From facilities to the staff, bit like fawlty towers, allocating rooms that were already occupied.

The staff were welcoming Bathroom was well laid out and fairly good WiFi was provided free within the price which was very good Heating was very good The room was shabby and in need of an extensive refurbishment. This place was previously known as Jonathan's and was renowned on quality, unfortunately with the name the quality has left also. The whole place has still got the decor & carpets of at least 10 years ago. The room (408) had a 2 doors one leading into a corridor outside was unlockable and had to have a chair put against it. The tv didn't work & the kettle, which looked very old, just simmered & never boiled. The carpet was in poor condition and had very old iron burns in it. It's a shame that very little has been to the hotel because it could be real gem where it is located with a bit of effort & updating on quality.

I liked that when we complained about the room being far too small and things being broken in it we were moved to a new slightly better room. The rooms are not worth £40 a night let alone £50. The staff are lovely and do respond to you but the service is not always great. I asked for room service breakfast as I am limited mobility the message was not passed on so did not get it until I phoned to ask where it was. There was no note about our late checkout. The beds are very small and the second room we moved to was nice but the first wasn't as good as a travelodge room which if you search you can get for £19 a night.

The breakfast was not up to standard and there were not enough staff available. We asked for butter on 3 occasions and eventually had to go to the kitchen to get it myself. The tea was made up in a flask and was therefore undrinkable - I had to ask for hot water and tea bags. The sausages were raw in the middle, we requested for some more that were cooked properly, but again they were raw. We spoke to the chef but he did not understand us. I spoke to the duty manager but he offered no regrets, I aked for the complaints book, but there wasn't one. We paid gbp 5 for each breakfast, and they were definitely not worth the money. Also raw sausage can cause salmonella so would suggest the chef is trained to cook properly.

The large size of the ensuite rooms and its quaint old fashened design in the rooms. The beds were realy comfy. The only down side was you needed a compus to find your room, it took us 15 minets.

Staff were very helpful. The hotel was very quirky in that there were lots of maze like corridors and it was a challenge to find the room first time! (we liked that!) All in all, for thirty pounds per room! a good deal! Room was basic and in need of decoration, but ok! lots of mould in the bathroom! Bed very uncomfortable.

Room was dirty, it had half eaten mac donalds on the table. The room was dated and needed a good clean. Carpet in bathroom never a good idea because it always smells of p#*S. Tv didn't work and I seen several rats about outside. Even though it was cheap still not worth it.
