Clean and comfortable Great value for money Friendly and helpful staff
the place was dirty , the tiles on the floor were all cracked and losses, there was no kettle the windows were boarded and cracked, the whole hotel should be closed down sorry to be so abrupt
Nothing really, was just a horrible experience.
Corridors stunk of marijuana and cigarette smoke. The room was the same. Stayed in room for 5 mine and went to reception. Noone at reception for over 5 mins. Was promised a refund and over a month later and loads of phone calls there is no such thing. Please I would advise to spend £10 to book somewhere else. The beds and the room are dire...I've stayed in much better 2 star hotels.
I couldn't say I liked anything about the hotel, it was like a maze trying to find the room we had been allocated, it was filthy and the decor was so old fashioned, the bath panel was coming away from the bath and there was a big crack in it, there was no milk for a cup of tea and when I looked in the plastic holder where they keep the sugar, someone obviously used it as a ashtray as it was full of ash, I will not return to this hotel.
The vintage design and layout of the entire hotel and how different the rooms are from one another, this place resembles England in its prime.
I did not appreciate the wear and tear of the internal decor.
The only good thing was the low price.
Poor lighting. Bedroom not double glazed so a lot of road noise from traffic. Wallpaper peeling off the wall. Shower not hot enough. Bed not comfortable.
No headboard flat pillows only one each . mold in bathroom windows boarded up lights broken. Old TV with rubbish areil
By far the cheapest hotel I could find. Yes it's dated and in need of a refurb but the room I was staying in was clean and comfortable. That's all I wanted after a night out.
On checking in we had doubts straight away due to the stained walls and shabby carpet. Entering our twin room we soon saw what looked like blood stains over the walls and bed. Went to the toilet and nearly ended up on the floor due to the seat completely falling off. The mattress was uncomfortable and the pillow was like a folded peice of A4 paper. We are contractors and don't ask for a lot. But this place will NOT be getting any recomendations from me. #dump
quirky mixture of furniture styles very old building , but quite comfortable.although on a busy road junction was very quiet
too many stairs my room was at top of building.
Dingy, smelly uncomfortable. I could go on and on. Needs decorating and a lot more.
convenient location, close to restaurants and beautiful parks, and really cheap indeed
too far away from city centre, and i guess should pay extra for room service? lol... and the room is really, what's the word, oh yes, old...
spacious rooms very good value for money relatively friendly near Mcdonalds
The only things that were not so good about this hotel was the location, but near a bus stop to get to the centre. Also the pipes were very loud in the night so beware.
Helpful staff very competitive prices
Old and tired decor and
we had 2 rooms booked and they were next to each other. The bed sheets were clean. Next to macdonalds.
This hotel was pretty awfyl to be honest. The heating was stuck on high and even turning the radiators doqn made now difference to the heat being pumped out of them, which made it really uncomfortable to sleep. The pillows on the bed were pointless as a wafer had more substance to it and when we asked for more they said they didnt have any! One of the rooms we had (we had 2) smelt really strongly of cigarettes. There was writing on the walls and pictures and in our room there was a white liquid stain running down the wall. Our room also had really bad damp. Reception staff seemed miserable.
Value for money not a holiday hotel, great for anyone working away, lots of eating places just minutes away ample parking, would stop again
Long walk to my room and corridors could do with a coat of paint
It was all disgusting
Size of the room!
The hotel was like a maze. No extra duvet. The carpet was poorly.
Price was very good Property was near to range of eating facilities Car park was extensive Staff were friendly Room & bathroom appeared to be clean
Concerned that first room had security chain on the door but was more concerned that 2nd room didn't! This had been broken off. The whole environment was very scruffy with out of date furnishings and there was a disused shopping mall inside the hotel opposite our first room which we found very creepy. The mattresses were v. uncomfy with springs poking through
Comfortable bed, good location, helpful staff, good value, brilliant budget hotel.
