Location near railway buses eating places and supermarket My room companions Some helpvful staff Clear bed rooms
Some staff not so helpful More clean tea towels to wash up at lunch and night Gathering spot outside rm8 noisy at times but not too late Room a little cramped with 6 but expected in London
the ambient is very social.
IF you stay in the rooms downstairs it's like to live in a submarine..... small windows on the roof in the rooms and nothing else. Very small room with a lots of beds.
the price and the location was great for getting around and nearby are Market and bus and metro, convenience for transport! Room for 6 people.
the wifi does not work in the room! and strange people that makes noise! few electrical outlets in the room only 2!
location, location ,location free luggage store (a bit damp and smelly but hey) ability to buy snacks and drinks at 3AM wi-fi was free
noise facilities location the room was no en suite, not even a sink wi-fi was very slow
friendly staff, clean and great location
Middle bed in 12 bed dorms was so hard to get in and out and two ladder on top of each other. the rest is great
The location, staff, breakfast, locker services
The room was a bit dirty but maybe that's because of the people staying in it.
Low price, location.
See headline. I couldn't sleep on the mattress provided. I don't need a feather bed, but this thing was almost as bad as sleeping on a hard floor.
Nice atmosphere, friendly people and staff, free wi-fi and breakfast
I love the location. The beds were okay though I would have preferred that the upper bunks are not that low. I hit my head a few times cause of this. There is a functioning toilet, free wifi, and breakfast so overall, good value for money.
The stairs. I had a heavy suitcase and apparently I had to carry my suitcase to the room. The stairs were quite narrow. The bathroom. The floors right after the shower room are yucky in a kind of slimy way.
Located near Kings Cross, but it is not worth. Everything else is terrible, the worst hostel I have ever been.
The room is dirty, crowded and very small. There was food and clothes from everyone spread on the floor, a terrible smell and mainly drunk and noisy teenagers. The bathroom was also very dirty and just one per floor. The breakfast had no coffee or milk, just some slices of bread and butter and the kitchen was disgusting.
From my opinion there are two types of hostels: those that want to 'cash in' on people in need of limited budget accommodation, and those that are run with a genuine love and understanding of what it means to travel, and what a traveler needs. Journeys came across to me as the latter.... there were no sneaky hidden charges for essentials like wifi, and the things you would pay extra for (like lockers, towels if you need them) are reasonably priced. Little touches like free tea and coffee really make a difference to the experience.
There wasn't a bar, (or at least not a functioning one while I was there), but there are plenty of places nearby so that didn't really matter.
Lovable staff good breakfast great location
The triple bed made me panic The toilet & showers were dirty
The stuff's nice. you don't need to worry about keys, because it's by code.
It's too short from one bed to the bed above it. You have to bend over all the time on your bed, Otherwise you will bang your head several times a day. But if you are allocated the top bed, there's no this problem. But the stairs to the top bed is quite thin which absolutely makes your feet hurt, but I think it's not a big deal.
I liked the staff, especially the manager, Carl, was very nice and helpful. I liked the location, that was very good. The system to get inside the bedrooms is very good because we don't need keys.
I thought the place needed to be cleaned more often. The bedroom was very messy, mostly because of the people I shared it with.
Didn't spend much time there, didn't have the desire to spend more time there based on what experienced but the time I did spend there was adequate.
Bathrooms were dimly lit and the shower room smelled terribly.
The location within walking distance of Kings Cross St. Pancras station could not be better, and the staff were polite and helpful at all times. Each bunk has a light and a power point. The breakfast was good for a free breakfast.
The hostel desperately needs updating. The bathrooms are completely impractical, and impossible to keep clean. The staff tried their best, but take flip flops for all common areas. There is no space for storing belongings, apart from lockers which you have to pay for. Store your bag on the floor or on your narrow creaky uncomfortable bunk, which is supplied with a polyester duvet which is too hot in summer. Guests did not pay attention to directions to keep noise to a minimum after ten pm
complete infrastructure,convenient transport network,nice staff
not a good decision for choosing 9 people's room, mass env,
The bed was comfortable with clean sheets. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The toilets and sink areas were clean.
We had two very large heavy suitcases that we had to drag up several flights of very narrow stairs. If we had known the stairs were so awkward we wouldn't have booked here. The room was very noisy, and I could hear everything the couple in the next room were saying to each other (luckily they were speaking in French, so I didn't understand them!). There was a lot of traffic noise and noise from people shouting to each other outside. The women's loos were on the next floor down, so it was quite a way to get to them. The showers were in cubicles but there was a communal changing area. The breakfast was at 7.30, which was too late for us catching our train. We ate at the Cafe Pompidou near the station, which did an excellent cooked breakfast. The hostel was expensive for what it offered. I would go to a YHA Hostel instead.
This was a very good value. For the cost, I was totally secure, slept well, and had breakfast.
Breakfast was pretty basic.
Seems like nobody clean the toilet. There's a mess everywhere. Our room is on the first floor but the window in the room has no lock, so the safety is questionable.
cleaning perfect location people you meet there
The whole place, felt so uncomfortable the whole stay, would never stay here again!
Arriving...staying and getting no sleep
the hostel is as near from St. Pancras station as you think. really near
the structure is really simple, but I doubt it can cause any major concern if you're mainly interested in a short and central stay in London
I stayed in a female bedroom. It had a make-up table and mirrors, which was great. All beds had curtains, individual lights and electric outlets. There was a blow-dryer in the bathroom. Internet was pretty good. It's just near Kings Cross and Tesco store is right outside the hostel, so you can easily buy food. The kitchen had all the utensils, tea and cooking oil.
There were no lockers in the rooms. Showers did not have any place to put shampoo and stuff while showering. You can't regulate the water temperature and you need to press the button every three minutes so that the water keeps running - very annoying. Rooms were extremely small, no space at all. Kitchen is closed till 7:30 (despite their own leaflet that said that it's closed only till 5:00), so I couldn't have breakfast early. They have a "free breakfast" which doesn't have any gluten free options, so I couldn't eat it. Staff was kind of indifferent to the guests. Bathrooms were not cleaned often enough, so sometimes they were gross.
