This was a very good value. For the cost, I was totally secure, slept well, and had breakfast.
Breakfast was pretty basic.
Seems like nobody clean the toilet. There's a mess everywhere. Our room is on the first floor but the window in the room has no lock, so the safety is questionable.
The whole place, felt so uncomfortable the whole stay, would never stay here again!
Arriving...staying and getting no sleep
the hostel is as near from St. Pancras station as you think. really near
the structure is really simple, but I doubt it can cause any major concern if you're mainly interested in a short and central stay in London
Really nice people and a good enough place to stay. I had breakfast and dinner in the hostel and was never put of nice company to share a meal.
Even though it is an awesome idea to help the planet I was a little annoyed by the way the showers worked, other than that great!
Good location, close to the subway and to the railway station. Ok for single travelers and for short stays.
Room very small, warm, no airing and ventilation. Very small common room
Great location, cheap, clean and very secure.
Some roommates kept talking on the mobile at night and some was slamming the door every time they go out and back. So I didn't get much sleep. I don't think the staff will be happy if they knew. Maybe asking people to be more polite when they book in would help.
Staff where rude didnt help with luggage when I had to walk down the stairs when they could see I was straggling. The breakfast was disapointing.
I loved the location of the hostel and how easy it was to get around from the closes train station. The staff and excellent and fair towards all people. Facilities like the showers were clean and there was no musty smell in the hostel. Breakfast is basic but plenty. Rules are fair. The crowd during my stay were welcoming and everyone befriended everyone. The value for money was wonderful. Price was very reasonable. Even if the small was small there are cheap luggage facilities
The location is super great! It's close to King's Cross, just like 3-minute walk! Most of the staff are friendly! And there's curtain for each bed, which is good for sleeping quality!
The hostel is a bit too noisy for the night time! And the space is a bit tiny as well!
Comfy beds Polite and efficient staff Great location Great price Great atmosphere Very clean toilets
Lockers were locked up at night
The fan was a real life saver in our hot room.
The price and the guests hanging around outside the front door being loud. It unfortunately doesn't reflect well on the hostel. Also guests didn't wash their dishes. I washed a full sink full. Very little to no cutlery available.
The Location was GREAT! and the staff was very friendly
The electrial outlets in you bunk did not work. There was not any good places to charge your camera and phone. I lost an hour in the morning because there was no safe place to rechared devices at night. The "free breakfast" was a little dissapointing, they served peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches and cereal. Fruit or yogurt would have been nice.
I'll share my favourite thing first - each bed has their own plug socket!! This was a godsend to me as my phone's battery is really bad and in previous hostels, there was just one plug socket in one room and it was always being used so I'd charge my phone in cafes. So having one next to my bed was great! I also loved the curtains you could pull over, nice for a bit of privacy. The room I stayed at (6 bed female dorm) was probably the best room I could have chosen - on the ground floor, near the loos and just round the corner from reception (where they sell snacks and drinks etc as well - useful!!) I didn't use many of the other facilities as I was so busy during the day and tired when I got in. But the beds were comfy, and I didn't have far to walk from the station!
As far as getting my money's worth, I don't really think I have much to complain about! The only thing I'd really mention is the loos - it got quite dark in the cubicles at night.
Cheap and reasonable clean. good location, near central stain and buses
Even the most genuines backpackers will feel challenged in security issues. The frequency in the hostel’s public rooms is pretty ackward. There’s some real guests, persons you might share your room with, but the front door appears to be always open to everybody and in the public spaces of the hostel there’s some regul some strange people, I mean, not guests at all. In several times you will feel unsafe. Take good care of your belongings. The staff appears to change weakly, every day there is some new employee there in the day before was a guest. Anyway, good price and good location, but no, thanks, it will NOT be a next time.
- Good location. - A supermarket at the street corner. - Nice staff.
- Very small, uncomfortable, and dirty bed. Even impossible to sit at the bed side. The curtain is not clean and impossible to cover the whole bed. - Very small room and no spaces to open lugguages. Do not choose here if you have big lugguages. - Old building without life and only have narrow stairs. - Very small and dirty bath. For female bath, there is no private for dress-up. You can only come out nakely to grab your towel, or take your towel into the bath with the chance of getting it all wet. The unisex bath is a bit better if you dont mind.. - The shower is soooo hot, and u have to keep pushing the button. - The hair dryer in the unisex bath does not work. - The room's door lock is broken. - The info to different airport is not updated. - The breakfast is simple. The dishes and cups are not cleaned. - I have stayed in other hostel but this one is bad. Pay a little bit more and you can get much better hostels.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can get help from the any time asked. The reception is open 24/7 which is great in case you need something.
The bed is very low, you have something like less than a meter between a mattress and a bed above you which makes it a bit uncomfortable. Have to pay for everything just as elsewhere in London...
Location , staff,
Bed, value for money, no sink in room, so why give kettle as no water, room need tidy up
Good location. Nice big window in the room and a fan.
The beds are ridiculous, uncomfortable and very noisy. Showers are a dribble and not very clean. The whole place is pretty noisy, you can hear people stomping up the stairs as well as the doors slamming open and closed from the bedrooms.
Location was near Kings Cross which was important to us. The buildings history was unique and interesting. Breakfast was nice, didn't need to do own dishes.
Set up of beds in 10 bed room was a little to close for comfort. It was hot and muggy and room windows needed to be open + ground floor room = noisy. It was very busy when I checked in and staff were not very accomodating to a traveler who's travel agent made a mistake. There was a bag in the bed I was assigned, staff gave new sheets but I did not like having to make my own bed. The 2 other hostels I stayed in had made beds.
I liked meeting other hostel guests!!!!!
I didnt really like moving up and down the stairs but the hostel was fine thanking you!!!!!!
cheap and cheap
very small place
Easy to find great location
The space on the bunks as I'm very tall kept hitting my head n legs left with a few bruises lol
