Just 2 minutes’ walk from Faversham Train Station, Railway Hotel has been serving the town since the 19th century.
Score from 101 reviews Good
Situated close to the centre of Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey, Queen Phillippa offers high quality bed and breakfast accommodation.
Score from 5 reviews Wonderful
The Conningbrook Hotel is located in the village of Kennington, a 5-minute drive from Ashford and the Eurostar Terminal. It offers rooms with satellite TVs, a restaurant and free parking.
Score from 410 reviews Very good
Sitting on the Tankerton cliffs and overlooking the Thames Estuary, the hotel is ideally located for touring Kent’s northeast coast, with the towns of Whitstable, Margate and Ramsgate all within easy...
Score from 490 reviews Excellent
Spacious, well-furnished room Sparkling bathroom Very comfortable bed Friendly staff
Out-of-town location not ideal for us at the time
we liked the food the grounds, the staff who were polite and friendly comfortable rooms
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
No draught beer available as the barrel had run out.
Location not bad, plenty of parking, food was very nice hot and well presented.
Staff very unorganised, dirty room with bin not not empty, dusty, shower tiny, noisy, generally not well kept all though you can see they are trying to bring an old building more modern in style.
Beds were very comfortable Good breakfast Very good value Rural and quiet, i.e. no traffic noise
Being woken up at 3.30 am by a screaming argument between a man and a woman in a nearby bedroom. The language was disgusting and upset my daughter who was in the connecting room to mine. The shouting went on for over 20 minutes and must have been heard by others - we were able to hear every word. I know that's not the fault of the hotel but it certainly did spoil our stay at the hotel.
The rooms were clean and pleasant, well resourced spacious and comfortable. The location was quiet, attractive and handy to main routes. The lack of sleep was due to us and not any fault of the hotel. The breakfast was great and our needs well catered for.
Room needed a lttile update to decor
Friendly staff, huge breakfast, clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely setting - I was accompanying my mum on a short trip to Kent, and this hotel was perfectly placed for where we needed to be. Would recommend it and will definitely be staying again, next time I visit the area. This is not an impersonal franchised hotel and is the better for it.
There were a couple of massive potholes where the drive meets the main road, which caught me out the first time I drove out of the park to pop into Faversham.
it was good value for the money. nice location in the countryside but a little bit in the middle of nowhere (Faversham was not very interesting town so next time we will go to Broadstairs or Whitstable) you definitely need a car to go there. breakfast was good (but the portions even too big!)
room was small (but clean!) staff was not very friendly
Lots to like, and nothing to dislike. Look in the trees for the ALBINO squirrels, Since June 2012 I've roomed there approximately 100 nights... Buzz
I felt comfortable instantly. the little extras in the room
carpests were a bit threadbare in places especially the stairs
there was no wifi outside the lobby and restaurant
Staff , Bar Service, breakfast freshly cooked
Large double bed in a small room. Carpets will soon need replacing
My husband and I stayed here for our 1st Wedding anniversary, shame we only booked the one night. It was all I could've wished for, and more. The staff were lovely and the accommodation was spot on. Very comfortable, top quality, spacious, clean and quiet. We will definitely be going back again. Seeing as we only live a few miles away and have discovered this little bit of luxury we will be having many more stays here.
Very silly thing but only thing really checking out by 11! 12 would've been nice!
The food from the restaurant was terrible, the temperature of the shower water would change from ice cold to boiling hot constantly, despite the staff's claims to the contrary there was no working WiFi (signal basically only available in the lobby and once connected internet wouldn't work - and we tried on 5 different devices so it simply isn't probable that it was "our" problem), and it had many more issues that made our stay a bad experience altogether.. Can't understand the amount of positive reviews this hotel gets!
For a quiet night away it was superb
Friendly staff and pleasant location. Very convenient for visiting the area. Good quality food at breakfast and other meals looked good. Very clean rooms.
Disappointed to find the bar closed when we returned at 10.30pm.
Location to channel tunnel. Staff were very helpful. Great breakfast. Very nice and well equipt room.
Good price for room. Friendly staff, great breakfast, nice rural location.
The shower wasn't very powerful and just dribbled. Also was either v. hot or ran cold. When I mentioned this to receptionist on checking out she apologized but didn't seem hugely bothered. Only one large towel and one hand towel for two people.
Dog had been in room and carpet was covered in dogs hairs, as well as confetti from wedding party, had to ask staff to clean again once we had checked in. Second day there was a coach party which we were unaware of, so breakfast was a scramble, with no room to move in dining room, and not the same standard of breakfast as previous day.
Comfortable hotel, near to the town centre. The restaurant was good with friendly service. We would return.
Friendly helpful staff, nice bar area with comfortable chairs and good beer. Food & wine was very nice, not overly expensive. Close to Faversham for brewery tour & Isle of Sheppey (brilliant bridge!) Margate & Whitstable for beaches. Loads to do in the area & close enough if you want to get a train to London. Good stop over going to or from Channel tunnel or Dover ferries. Faversham is an old market town with interesting buildings & loads of junk shops (oops antiques) We enjoyed our stay there.
stairs rather steep. Shower alternating between hot & cold both days, staff said would be sorted as soon as we reported it but we left that day.
It was very friendly like one happy family. Well kept grounds and what a Breakfast it was lovely. Room was really clean and bed so comfy had a lovely sleep. It was so peaceful
location facilities quality of food
cleanliness of bathroom
