Having visited Judges on several occasions for family celebrations I always thought it would be a perfect place to stay when visiting friends/family in the area - not a cheap overnight motel but a bit of pampering since I'm worth it!

Stunning hotel, very luxurious, fantastic rooms and amazing food. Stayed for a friends wedding and could not be happier with our stay or the way that we were looked after by the staff. Beautiful location, would stay again and would highly recommend to friends.

A very relaxed atmosphere with lovely log fires. Staff were so friendly and obliging. The bedroom was very comfortable and the sherry, chocolates and fruit were an added celebration for my husband's birthday. First time we have had a goldfish in the bedroom and asked to feed it! The experience reminded me of my childhood when I spent Christmas with my aunt in a house in Shropshire which always had a log fire and in those days lit by oil lamps. A very enjoyable treat for my husband's birthday.

Our Daughter booked this for her Wedding venue. From the outset the staff seemed very professionally and friendly. The day and evening reception was all perfectly timed and flowed beautifully with the aid of plenty of friendly staff. The food was excellent, it was high quality and served hot. The rooms where very good and we had excellent views of the garden.

Just a little niggle. The drinks and snacks where over priced both in the hotel bars and in the mini bars in the rooms.

We were welcomed and shown to our room which was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The complimentary sherry and fruit bowl was a welcome touch and we enjoyed having temporary custody of Harley the goldfish. The view from our room was stunning as we overlooked the lovely autumnal colours of the grounds. We stayed here as we were attending the evening celebration of a friends wedding and have to give top marks for the catering. Breakfast was acceptable with a good choice available. All in all a lovely experience. We must also recommend the market town of Yarm which was a joy to investigate with a good choice of cafes and some lovely independent shops along the high street.

We were there as our friends were getting married. The location & setting were beautiful. Our room was lovely and the staff very helpful.

We didn't like the fact of a goldfish being in the room as it was in a tiny bowl and certain guests stayng may not take good care of them. It wasn't really necessary to have them in the room.

Beautiful hotel in really nice grounds. Traditional fixtures and fittings mixed with luxury modern touches. Very quiet, excellent for a relaxing, romantic break.

Unfortunately our room wasn't as clean as I would have expected. Furniture was dusty and the carpet had dirt on. This definitely didn't spoil our break but I would have expected more.

I enjoyed the friendly welcome from the staff eapecially the young girl whi made us feel very relaxed and very special when we were in the restaurant on saturday night the food was also spectacular so compliments to the chef all in all we thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately stay again

The only downside to our stay and this is being picky would be that we didnt realise there was a jacuzzi to use so directions or signs could be a little better but we probably didnt look hard enough

A lovely hotel set in lovely surroundings. We stayed overnight as a colleague was holding his retirement party there. The food was lovely and the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful even to the point of capturing and removing a large spider from our room! The room was elegant and comfortable and the bathroom superb.

La comida es muy buena,pero el menu muy repetido.

Reservamos un mlaster room,y nos dieron en el ultimo piso,un espacio no chico,pero con una ventanuca muy chica,por donde apenas pasaba la luzd.Muy lejos de pretender ser una master room.A Nuestra hija le dieron un dormitorio donde no habia donde dejar la ropa,por lo que en tres dias no pudo desarmar la maleta.
