The staff were helpful and polite. The service was first class, the food was fantastic. Our room was lovely, We would definitely go back to the hotel and recommend it. Also the gold fish in the bedroom was a nice touch. The only criticism was a flat screen tv on the wall would have been ideal instead of the old fashioned one that was in the room.

Smooth reception, large feature room jacuzzi bath was wonderful with lashings of hot water loved the tlights and oil burner and our resident goldfish (coral). Excellent food altho breakfast was not as nice as dinner.friendly staff. Only complaint was somebody came to ask if the room needed turning down at 6.30 while we were getting ready for dinner( this is the difference between 4 and 5 * I suppose, but if you offer the service then this should have been done discreetly at dinner. Waiter service was ok but nothing ecxeptional as we ordered another bottle with dinner and we had to ask for it to be opened. Lovely place but they havnt quite got it right!! As it is the little things that make a hotel what it is.

relaxtion and helpfulness of the staff creates a great atmosphere - staff were a bit overwhelmed with a lot in for breakfast - and the constant change of tables after a Wedding Party the night before

I love the building and its surroundings the hotel building is beautiful ideal for the wedding setting we attended. I felt really relaxed there and that everything I needed was easily to hand. The staff are amazing so friendly and helpful. I think its a perfect hotel to stay for special occasions and would definitley choose it again when an occasion arises. I stayed with my sister and we felt the attention to detail was brilliant. Like the chocs and whisky on the table and the fruit even a cute teddy for children. This hotel made a perfect fairytale venue for my friends wedding I would recommend it wholeheartedly. I have one complaint. The window in my room rattled which made sleeping difficult. The noise of this is very loud too difficult to ignore. I would be happy to recommend Judges and stay again myself if I knew this problem was solved in the future.

Stayed for one night only for a friends wedding. The room was lovely, very well decorated and spotlessley clean. Robes, chocolates, sherry, fruit, snacks, i-pod docking, cd collection, flat screen tv etc etc all available in room. Service from the staff was excellent, as was the food, no complaints at all. Nothing, no complaints at all, although maybe a pool would be nice?

the staff were lovely and all staff were very polite and accommodating. the room was beautiful. i loved the homely touch of a pet fish in the room there was nothing we didnt like but a few recommendations are to update the showers as they were more like drizzle than a shower and the ceiling paper was coming off (i only mention it as the rooms are supposed to be of a particular standard which these did not really meet. also i would have liked a buffet style breakfast but the food was very nice.

The Staff were very welcoming, pleasant, and attentive without being too oppressive. The grounds are lovely. thankfully there weren`t hoards of pillows and cushions to move before getting into bed. Not keen on teddies on the bed, and the bath plug took some working out!

I liked the warm welcome from the staff and the friendly, polite ambience, the relaxing, lived-in scents of well-hoovered carpet and happy mealtimes, Our room was comfortable and well-furnished - I liked the thick hanging curtains and the lavish matching bedspread. I liked the special touches - the fruitbowl, the sherry, the aromatic oils and the bath-salts, the fresh milk in a jug in the fridge and the choice of books in the bathroom!. The view out over the garden was stunningly beautiful in the sunshine. The bathroom was spotless and well stocked, and the bathrobes added a touch of luxury. Nothing impersonal here - just relaxation and comfort. I loved wandering in the garden pathways and exploring the little hidden corners - a delight for the children! Breakfast was copious and delicious! There wasn't anything I didn't like. This was simply the nicest overnight stay I've ever had anywhere in the world. Incidentally, we were there with my family (we booked three rooms in all) for the occasion of my nephew's wedding. It was an unforgettable family occasion, and the atmosphere, surroundings and standard of service and accommodation provided by Judges contributed immeasurably to its success.Well done!
