Comfort of the room and bathroom, location

-There was too much noise from the street: even though the reception staff immediately changed our room on the 2nd day to a room facing the back street, the windows were too thin to protect from the noise. Adding to this, there was too much noise from the bathroom: the engine was working so loud that we had always to close the door to sleep. -But the major problem was breakfast. It was unbelievably bad for a 5 star hotel. Very small buffet table for a continental breakfast. There was only pre-baked frozen bread and some croissants. The bread was not enough for everybody and the bread basket on the buffet table was never refilled, during the 5 days we have been there. It is not acceptable that every morning we had to be told that bread and toasts were over. There was no still or tap water to drink and, when asked, we were charged £3 for a small bottle plus £2.80 as a service rate just for bringing the water. It is not acceptable that a 5 star hotel is charging for water at breakfast. -Adding to this, the staff was rude, arrogant and disorganized, making breakfast a very unpleasant experience.

I asked for smoking room but during check in it was not available

I enjoyed my stay and the staff where excellent especially in the bar and dining room. I wish however that my bill was correct when I checked out as there was some confusion with regards to the price I paid for the room on the internet and the price I was charged on check out. I was fortunate that I was not in a rush to catch my train as it took a little while to sort out. If I was to stay again I would telephone in advance to check the rate, which I should not have to do really.

Well the hotel location was very good because our office is around the corner at West Halkin. The staff was friendly & the hotel clean. The hotel is close to the different shopping attractions but it is quite expensive comparing to the hotels we have in the uae & more luxerious for the price we get. It was a good experience anyway.

The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. They made our stay stress-free.

The location is great.

They charged us for 20% vat again & we only realised later that our BOOKING.com reservation included vat. Hence check your bill carefully.
