Convenient location for city centre, good night time security - you needed to be a guest to enter. Nice views
Room was very small. Hotel felt a bit impersonal as is very large
was by the lift with a constant sound from it.
Hair in plug hole in bath
Location for nice bars and access to shops. Queen size bed - very comfy. Nice reception and comfy bar area
Booked superior room - came with mineral water, biscuits, newspaper and early check in. Initially they were not going to let be book in as they didn't know I was in a superior room, also had to ask for all extras as they were not provided and then they charged me for my paper which had to be refunded! Reception didn't hv enough staff to cater for check in/out's
Free wi-fi, good location, nice beds helpful staff, plenty of space at breakfast which was of good quality, twin bed (traveled with adult daughter)provided us with room even though we were little early.
No room service slow checkin. Booked a superior room which it definately wasn't ! No Costa coffee voucher no water or biscuits. I may have well booked a standard room which was chester
The reservation on bookings.com was perfect as per usual no concern, got to the jury's inn on the day and was told if I want to pay with cash I need to pay £50 more room deposit, no explanation as to why, I refused, I explained this was not stated to me upon booking my room and had I had all the information I would have made a informed decision to keep the cash in my account and use my card which would have saved me any hassle, however due to this not being I stated and having withdrawn the money (which I don't like carrying cash I when I have my young child with me) I had turned up with cash. There was a lovely fella called Lewis at reception whom quickly spoke to his supervisor and I ended up not paying the extra £50 and all went smoothly, but it stressed me out the minute I turned up to book in purely due to paying in cash. This is ridiculous, either state this when booking, clearly, or don't stress out customers paying in cash. What do they think? That all guests go out and drink and smash up the room! I was checking in with my just turned 6 year old only, for the dole purpose as he was running the mini bupa marathon the next morning. When being questioned by Lewis asking me "do you have much planned for tonight" he seemed rather shocked that I said no, my son has a mini marathon in the morning, that's the only reason I'm in Birmingham. Not a good start, although rectified swiftly, it was no good.
Convenient location. 2 generous beds - great for friends sharing. Good food. Welcoming.
Room a little bit tired in places eg room key holder/electric supply fell off wall initially.
The breakfast is verging on inedible. It is noisy - the walls are paper thin so you can hear people next to you, you can hear trains through the walls all night The bed is very uncomfortable
Told us where the best drinking spots were, for our age without being patronising & was spot on. He was a superstar .
The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and we both slept well
There wasn't room service - had to order food then go collect ourself from kitchen/restaurant to take back to the room....
Spotlessly clean rooms, really comfortable beds, top class breakfast and a mix up with our room was sorted quickly without fuss :)
Car park - it's difficult to find the entrance, it's dark and dingy, open to the public and £14.20 per day
Bed was large and very comfortable.
The room was noisy as it was adjacent to the lift shaft. Room was not cleaned during our 2 night stay, towels were not replaced, toilet rolls and refreshment facilities were not replenished. Disappointed.
Location good comfortable bed
Not many towels in room and paint peeling off wall around, window on side of room not good expected much better from hotel
breakfast, room, cleanliness etc..
noisy crowd on the floor on both nights
Had the worst nights sleep had a room across from the lifts so all night all I could here was the lifts going up and down was worse once people started getting up to go awful room felt as if I was in the lift maintenance room
The hotel was impressive from the outside & it just got better as the stay went on. Sarah at the main desk was lovely & helpful, so was theara. the room was 1210 & it was perfect. Clean tidy & beds like heaven. Its is defo one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.
I think hotel guests should get free parking or at least a heavy discount, Cost me about £15. We got to reception at 1.29pm and where told checking was 2pm. This receptionist was not as helpful or friendly as Sarah & Theara. Could of checked if we could of checked in early , could of told us to get a drink at the bar & wait but sort of blatantly said check in 2pm then turned back to computer. No sure her English was very good. The rest of the stay made up for this poor first contact.
clean room comfortable bed god price for city centre
tv needed re-tuning every time I switched it on soap dispenser over the bath at shoulder height - so if you take a bath either use you own soap or stand up every time you need soap
lovely hotel staff helpful , room was great and breakfast was 5 star
Liked the location
Bed was uncomfortable room felt cold & basic Wierd smell in room annoying kid next door trying to open interconnecting room door NCP was difficult to find night porter checking names and room numbers to gain entry was a slow system!
Room too hot, made sleeping difficult. Little information on meal times maps of the area etc
Had a great stay here. Room was lovely and the staff were really helpful. Would recommend eating there. The food was lovely. Thanks.
Nothing I didn't like.
City local near ICC
