Many London Hotels are a bit run down. Not so The Bloomsburry Hotel. It's a very nice and new Hotel with very stylish interiour. I love the design and the materials used throughout the hotel are of very high quality. When checking in one gets a refreshing towel at reception and a bottle of water when checking out - small details make it - brilliant! I would stay there any time! This has gone up to my most favourite London Hotels. The only thing I found annoying is that at night the Hotel door is closed. A doorbell needs to be ringed to call the night guard to open the door. I can understand that at night they don't want strangers walking into the lobby, but still, waiting outside for a guy to show up and opening the door is not a welcoming attitude. The solution is simple, the door should be unlocked by the key card.

A clean, well appointed hotel and very close to the Dominion Theatre and Oxford Street, just 2 minutes from the Underground Station. Privacy is not guaranteed. We were once woken at 9:00am by housekeeping staff despite the 'Do not Disturb' sign hanging on the outside of the door and we were once disturbed by housekeeping staff in the evening who entered the room without knocking. The suggestion of a Superior room is a little misleading. Our room was small (the wardrobe could not be opened fully because of the bed). Somewhat overpriced for what you get.

Absolutely nothing!!!!!!! Everything!!!! Lack of service, to the point of none!!! Poor condition of hotel areas. Room beyond tiny and airconditioning was not functioning properly. No lunch or service before 5pm in dining room. Horrible service in the Lounge area. Staff yelling at each other in the lobby. Food at dinner was Not acceptable and again poor service. I could go on and on, but why bother. Never never stay there again. When you have to handle your own luggage up 20 plus outside stone steps and try and open the front doors on your own and have to take all the luggage to your own room is appaling. No doorman and no staff for that service!!! Awful!!!!

The staff were all so polite and helpful. We were upgraded and the room was luxurious. The bathrobes, spacious room and great coffee maker made us feel pampered. Special thanks to all the staff for being so nice!

The staff in the restaurant were attentive and friendly, the food was also outstanding along with the choice of cocktails. The rooms were kept immaculate and couldnt ask for anymore from the staff. The hotel also had a very relaxed, calm and quiet vibe. The only thing that has left a bad taste in my mouth has been the charges, it wasn't explained clearly that you would be billed twice etc for the room and then 1 of the charges would be released to you 8 working days later ? I have stayed in many a hotel and have never heard of this !!?? I have rung and the staff in accounts havent been the most helpful. I was told to "check my account every now and then" for £219.00 !? They are dreaming. I know kistakes happen but theres no sign of an apology or explanation, aopparently its "one of those things" Bit annoyed if im totally honest.

The location was excellent for the threatre. The room was clean. The room was small and had a sloping ceiling - I banged my head getting into bed. The tv was round a corner and couldn't be viewed from the bed. I had booked a twin room and was given a double bed. The price of drinks was exhorbitant. We had two gin and tonics at the bar and the first was very weak. When we ordered a second one it was the correct strength. Rip off considering the prices!

The room was large and very clean. we were on the 6th floor so it was also nice and quite. We did not eat in the hotel so can not pass comment on the quality of the food. The location was really good as the access to shops and theaters was only 10- 15 mins walk away at most.

The hotel was very comfortable, clean with friendly staff. It was very quiet. It was good to come back to the hotel after a long day sight seeing and relax. The room was also serviced in the evening, coffee sachets etc replenished and bed turned down. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment on that. Very good

Friendly & helpful staff. Good location where you can facilitate attraction areas easily. A lot of good restaurants are within walking distance. It's a very cosy hotel where you feel welcomed in. The room was unbelievably small. The smallest room I've ever seen with this price! The pillows weren't comfortable. The bed sheets weren't changed daily and when I asked they said that their policy was to change them day after day! That was not ok with me especially I was expecting at least a 4 star hotel treatment! Another annoying thing is, the housekeeping do another round in the evening where they do a better cleaning than the day one, but it is late in time.. On the 1st night the housekeeper knocked on the door while we were asleep (10 pm). On another occasion, we came to the hotel in the evening to find the housekeeper still cleaning the room that we had to wait for her outside til she finished (the room was too small, we couldn't be 3 in the same room!) Last but not least, they over charged my room as they didn't return my insurance amount back.

Really nice hotel, rooms are well designed. Very friendly people. Breakfast is expensive, My room had a window with a wall 50 cm further. Room also very small. Payed voor 5 nights 860 ponds or 1075,00 euro. Breakfast not included. For this size of room it is to expensive i think.

Very friendly staff and a good location. Superb building. The restaurant table positions are far too close for privacy especially the row of tables along the wall which seems to be the referred positions offered by the staff.

I had high expectations from the Bloomsbury Hotel and in the end I was left extremely disappointed. Upon arrival, we checked into a second floor Superior "Non Smoking" Suite which was very nice. After returning from dinner late, we arrived back exhausted to find our room smelling of smoke. After a complaint, we were offered a third floor disabled room as the hotel was "full." The room was of no use to us as it was obviously adapted for wheel chair access (Really low sink etc). After further complaint, the receptionist managed to discover another room in the "full" hotel. This time the room was a lot smaller and was meant for single occupancy but we took it anyway as it was nearly 1am at this time. The next morning I complained again that the room was not in any way to the same standard as our previous room. They offered to move us again but for me, that was unacceptable, we had already wasted enough time. Asking for a reduced rate for the single occupancy room as we were paying for a Superior Room was declined as I booked the hotel using booking.com (a total non point). They offered us a complimentary breakfast of which the grand total is around 40 pounds and of no use to us as we're really not breakfast people. In the end, we were offered no means of real compensation and struggled as two people in a single room. The hotel appears to be nice but is massively over priced, but the attitude of most of the staff was terrible and I would honestly never return. Still seeking compensation.
