Many London Hotels are a bit run down. Not so The Bloomsburry Hotel. It's a very nice and new Hotel with very stylish interiour. I love the design and the materials used throughout the hotel are of very high quality. When checking in one gets a refreshing towel at reception and a bottle of water when checking out - small details make it - brilliant! I would stay there any time! This has gone up to my most favourite London Hotels. The only thing I found annoying is that at night the Hotel door is closed. A doorbell needs to be ringed to call the night guard to open the door. I can understand that at night they don't want strangers walking into the lobby, but still, waiting outside for a guy to show up and opening the door is not a welcoming attitude. The solution is simple, the door should be unlocked by the key card.

A clean, well appointed hotel and very close to the Dominion Theatre and Oxford Street, just 2 minutes from the Underground Station. Privacy is not guaranteed. We were once woken at 9:00am by housekeeping staff despite the 'Do not Disturb' sign hanging on the outside of the door and we were once disturbed by housekeeping staff in the evening who entered the room without knocking. The suggestion of a Superior room is a little misleading. Our room was small (the wardrobe could not be opened fully because of the bed). Somewhat overpriced for what you get.

Location. Having free wi-fi, though it stopped working on the last day. The staff was nice and eager to please. The heated floor of the bathroom. All the hotel is very dark, very depressing and I didn't quite like the decoration.I was given a room on the top floor, on the loft with two small windows which I had a hard time to open and I wasn't able to see the outside from my room, very claustrophobic. The room was also very hot and the ac didn't work well. Bathroom very small. Breakfast expensive for what you get, poor selection ,though the quality of the food was good.. The bed wasn't comfortable and nor were the linens. Only a few TV channels, all English.

Noise, which went on all night, it sounded as though there were staff above rather than other guests, continuous stomping back & forth and squeaky floorboards, it went all through the night in intervals, just when you thought it had stopped, it started again. The rooms are also very dark and quite small, the shower also did not work properly, unable to regulate meaning it was too hot, with no breakfast included I think £186 very expensive and not worth value for money.

As we walked in the staff were attentive and efficient. We had our room upgraded, I'm not sure if this was because I'd mentioned that the trip was a birthday surprise for my husband before on Booking.com or for another reason. There was a pleasant aroma about the hotel - floating candles everywhere. Ther room was plush with all mod cons. WiFi was complimentary, there was an expresso machine, bottled water and fluffy robes. It was an excellent location for seeing a show and visiting Soho or Covent Garden. It was situated in a quiet street with an underground ncp car part opposite for parking. As we checked out they even gave us complimentary bottled water for 'on the road'. Shall definately return. That we couldn't stay longer!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bloomsbury. The hotel was clean and fresh decor, luxury! The staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed to go to the theatre, the lcation was perfect, close to all the central areas or tube. The towels and toiletries were repleanished in the evening whilst we were out, so we had fresh things to use in the morning. We didnt eat at the hotel, but I would have liked to. Would definately return!

The appearance upon coming in was very tasteful. The staff were very helpful in checking us in and resolving a potential problem I had with double booking though bookings online that didn't send a booking notice. The thoughtfully followed a problem with the technology we had and room service was excellent. The only problem was the next morning the gas in the kitchen was broken and we could not have a hot breakfast, but the staff was very accomidating. We would stay there again.

I would not recommend this hotel to a long term stayers, as the room was first quite tidy and nice, but after a few days the glasses, cups and spoons were left unwashed and towels/beddings not changed. In addition to that, and above all, the staffs, especially ones at the reception were very snobbish and not attentive at all. When we called to ask some questions from our room, they sounded very cool and as if they didn't want to take the trouble of serving. (Maybe because it was in the evening) The location is nice, but there must be better hotel in this area with better service.

Staff were amazing, friendly, courteous and helpful. I arrived at the hotel early, was told that the hotel had full occupancy the previous night and the room assigned to me, was still occupied, but a very nice room. However, after waiting an hour and a half, the concierge saw that I was yawning and went to check if my room was ready. After a short while, he came back to say that they had assigned me another room, gave me a room card and sent my luggage upstairs. This room being on the 2nd floor was very noisy. Bedrooms are well appointed, next morning, I asked for my room to be changed, which was on the 4th floor, much quieter, but smaller definitely not a superior double room, no place for luggage. The ambience of the hotel, and friendly staff made up for what could have been an unpleasant stay. The noise. Walls are too thin and street noise on side of hotel.

room spacious and nicely decorated, well furnished. unfortunately, they couldn't find the booking upon arrival. Shower took some time to figure out, and in the end, it didn't do cold water, only hot to warm (someone will burn themselves if not adjusted).

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The situation was fantastic. The breakfast of which we only had one, in our room, was delicious. Fresh produce, well cooked. The cost of breakfast was astounding. I travelled with my 14 year old daughter and the thought of paying £21 for her breakfast was appalling. If a cooked breakfast had been between £10 and £15 depending on what was ordered I may have thought about it. It would appeal much more if things were seperated into courses and priced accordingly. The room was v. hot. The airconditioning worked but not enough. There was a buzzing from something in a cupboard next door. It took us quite a while to find because it was covered in scaffolding.

I really like the layout of the rooms. Al tho not all rooms of are of the same quality. Some of them are small and sparse and some of them very big and nicely furnished but still cost the same. The lobby is very nice and spacious with nice couches to lounge in. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect! I think the gym is a bit small but it does have all the equipment you will need for a basic workout. Also the rooms that face the inner courtyard can be a bit noisy especially on the lower floors because of (I think) air conditioning pumps or some sort of machinery.

In general the staff were very polite and helpful. Very nice relaxed atmosphere ideal for the theatre. Unfortuneately one of the staff at breakfast needed furter training. When arrived at the table it had been used and she took a serviette and pushed the crumbs from the table onto the floor. The coffee was cold and when asked for hot water she first brought cold water in a glass then when challenged brought boiling water in a glass not a jug. After requesting a fresh pot of coffee not to strong, it was severed very strong and my wife and I could not drink it. Finally when she removed the plates for the fruit she moved them on to the adjacent training. We were not asked for sauces etc when served our cooked breakfast. Service you do not expect from this class of Hotel. I must stress however the other staff were very competent and helpful.

Staff at The Bloomsbury were all very helpful, willing to offer help at all times. The hotel up-graded our room from superior double to the deluxe double free of charge, the room was exceptionally clean and all possible luxuries included, toiletries in the bathroom and bathrobes and slippers. All of which make a weekend break so much easier,as less to take with you.We will certainly visit again. The only critisism we have was that at breakfast we opted for the English breakfast. Having started with fruit and cereals, our cooked breakfast arrived whilst still eating fruit, so we had to leave this and complete afterwards. The restaurant appears too small for the number of rooms and we felt a little rushed, as the hotel was busy.
