Great location within easy walking distance of amenities. Comfortable hotel, friendly staff and very clean.
The bed was very comfortable, room was spacious and clean. The bar and restaurant area was well decorated and the food was lovely.
Waitress in the restaurant was friendly and very good at her job. The front of house staff on reception were very dissmissive and unhelpful. Asked them to order us a taxi into town for a night out as it was raining very heavily and winds were strong. We were told the taxi company had no cabs available so we would have to walk to the taxi rank. We explained we were on our way out for the evening so did not want to walk in the rain, were told that was our only option. We googled taxi companies and the first one we spoke to came within 5 minutes.
The weekend before our arrival, a staff member called to confirm our stay and what kind of room we wanted. They knew we were disabled and were very helpful. The room was nice, the mattress was a bit bouncy but you can't have it all. The food was fab there though, the buffet breakfast was great!
The chambermaid didn't bother to clean our room, despite us leaving the sign on our door in the morning when we went out. She was foreign and kept talking about going on her lunch.
Easy access to station, Friendly front desk, Excellent free wifi, comfortable and clean rooms
Shower was only lukewarm
very nice hotel. comfy beds and helpful staff.
Bed was comfortable and the staff was very helpful
There wasn't a proper car park and i literally hit my car with the fence because of having no space to park the car so i had to park the car well away from the hotel .
there was no hot water on the first morning . A cold shower wasn't a good way to start the day
That u had to pay £10 for breakfast even if u only wanted a coffee and some toast
No hot water. When raised with the front desk, the only offering is that they would speak to the manager. Problem wasn't resolved.
Conviniently located next to the train station. Free wifi. Quiet at night. Decent breakfast.
Room was quite cold
Courteous and well trained staff
slight problem with the water being disconnected for a while.
hotel itself was comfortable and clean although the bathroom could have done with an update
car parking. we were told that the car park across from the hotel offered discount to residents although we ended up paying the full £26 for our overnight stay due to misinformation as we checked in.
Friendly and helpful staff
The bar area and general appearance of the foyer is pleasant. Our room was as we expected and clean.
The directions to the hotel are useless - don't use the post code on the website nor the one they tell you when you phone (when lost) - both don't get you there, just rely on vague directions and luck! The staff seem pleasant but clueless. The hairdryer in our room started smoking when turned on and actually caught fire! when I phoned reception she laughed, sent someone to our room whilst we were at breakfast promising it would be fixed by the time we returned so we could wash our hair - alas when we returned it was still not working or replaced, when I brought this up at check out she just shrugged her shoulders. No-one was there to seat us for breakfast and some things were running low, spotted a couple of staff a good 10 mins after we arrived for breakfast - we had to search them out to get milk for tea etc. Feel quite let down by the staff's attitude.
Food was lovely, friendly staffs
Family room with sofa bed was quite uncomfortable
No problems when we had to change our room...!
It really needs it`s own car park..!
Good value Bar and Restaurant in hotel Good choice of food and drink Good breakfast buffet Rooms are adequately furnished and reasonable state Location was perfect for the business we were there for, near the offices and train station for travel
Comfortable room. Very close to station
No room service on the first night. Tried at least 10 times but the phone just rang out
Good location, very close to the station. The staff were all professional, friendly & efficient. The room was comfortable enough, no luxuries but a decent hairdryer, which is always a bonus. My children (13 & 10) liked it very much, particularly the key card elevator!
Good breakfast, easy check-in and children fun packs great.
Children's sofa bed bed quite uncomfortable and small for two. Parking expensive.
Proximity to station. Half price parking opposite hotel. Breakfast had lots of delicious options including pancakes! Would look forward to staying again.
Room initially cold but warmed up beautifully after some time. Poached eggs not hard boiled as requested but quickly delivered. Minor things.
Convenient to railway station. Clean comfortable room.
Extra £10 per person for breakfast, which was adequate but could be a lot better.
The staff were very helpful, they knew it was my birthday and gave me and my friends a free bottle of Prosecco and Kate check out which was a lovely touch. The room was big enough for 3 with a bright clean bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and a flat screen tv. The train station is opposite the hotel with adequate parking of 600 spaces and as a hotel guest you pay half the price and even though the station was so close very was never any noise. Buffet breakfast delicious with a great variety and distance to the pier is about 15 minutes walk. Will definitely stay again.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
Good room and friendly staff
Nothing wrong with hotel but it was difficult to find.
Staff were excellent
Given room next to building site and to top that off while pushing my wife's handbag under mattress I found two beer glasses !! Thankfully these had not smashed as I would have no doubt been visiting the local hospital too..
