Great view over city from upper floors
size of beds, cleanliness, extra pillows, lift, location
Location was good
Lack of enough parking spaces
Good except the drunking women at 3am shouting and swearing
Breakfast is excellent
Parking is a bit of an issue
The make yor own pancakes at breakfast were brilliant!
Road noise with window open
The most uncomfortable pillows and noisy room
Location was great in terms of access to the city on the plus side.
Due to central location it was noisy trying to get to sleep
Despite information on the web-site there is a small underground car-park £3-00 per night Great breakfast!!
The booking form from Booking.com promised that payment would not be deducted from my credit-card until stayed in the hotel on Nov 8-9th. In fact payment was deducted from my account on October 13th I am waiting for this to be resolved
I arrived at Jurys Inn Derby, for a Business trip representing a big International Government Organization, at 21:00 on 4/11/14, only to receive lies and poor apologies for overbooking. I was offered a taxi to another hotel. I was allowed to choose between two rooms (one without heating and one without shower). The one I got was 1.5x2.5 Meters without heating (freezing overnight). Regrettable and unacceptable.
Location reception staff decor
Limited chargeable parking.Breakfast a bit chaotic.Could not find a table at first.
Had really good stay, staff happy helpfull spot on!
Parking!! No room at the inn
Good food Very clean
location, room quality, friendly service.
nothing to dislike
Good position close to town modern
Location was perfect Comfy Beds Helpful Friendly Staff Clean Hotel & Rooms Nice & Modern Made you feel welcome Late bar & food service
Only 1 downside, menu needs a little more selection & prices are a little high
Convenient location for walking to city centre. Helpful staff at reception and in the restaurant at breakfast. Comfortable, well-equipped room and bathroom (though a bit small for a "superior" room - I guess that description describes the add-ons, rather than implying a larger room). Bright and airy public spaces. Good breakfast.
Hotel was difficult to get to by car coming from the west - not directly accessible from the inner ring road, and on its own mini one-way system. But Derby's one way systems are a bit of a nightmare for the visitor!
professionalism of staff cleanliness huge bed and loads of pillows bath - not just shower!
road noise - unfortunate and not their fault but the dual carriageways are irritating - ask for a higher floor
Large modern room. Location perfect for the town and good price.
View from 7th floor
Parking facility with no reception access
Friendly and helpful staff. Decent sized room. Good rate.
Odd absence of proper drawers or shelves for clothing. OK overnight, but would put us off if we needed accommodation for a longer period. Lack of proper signage by garage entrance. If there are no spaces (likely) it's hard to know how to find the alternative public parking - or even find your way to the hotel entrance to ask. Some proper signage is needed: hardly the biggest job in the world!
Food and beer were decent quality.
I felt like I'd been transported back to the 1970'S. Hotel is badly in need of an update! (Easily done with the profits they must be making on the B&B rates they charge here!) Also, it was a pain to find the car-park using satnav. Ended up switching it off and following my nose.
Quality of the service, staff friendly and helpful
Found the access to getting to the Jurys Inn a bit confusing as it was a one way system and road works made it a bit awkward
Rooms were very clean, staff were pleasant and good location.
As a smoker did not like the fact that I was being prejudiced against with absolutely no consideration for smokers by having no smoking area with heating and having to stand in the street in the cold!
Pleasant Staff. Good Location.
Dated Rooms. No Lift/Stairs from the Car park, bit a a faf going up the ramp and all the way round to reception.
