Value for money, great location, great breakfast.
Not enough ventilation in bathroom when showering.
Situated between Princes Street and The Royal Mile this hotel is in an excellent location for sightseeing. All the staff we met were extremely helpful.
The food from the bar was excellent and good value for money.Good location easy to get about.
the room we had was near the railway heard the trains next time would ask for a room to the back.
Closeness to Waverley Station Closeness to City Sights Quiet Room with plenty of space
Breakfast crockery was not cleaned properly. I noticed dirty mugs and plates and bowls with dried food on them.
The staff were helpful and cheerful. The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was tastey and good value for money. The hotel's location was perfect for access to the station, Royal mile and Princes street. Being able to leave luggage before and after check in/out times.
Lack of comfortable chairs in bedroom.
Have stayed at this hotel few times ideal location. This time our view first thing on a sunny morning was so picturesque. Very helpful staff.
Unfortunately we had a young toddler in the next room who had an unsettled night and we could hear this, but this could happen anywhere.
Excellent location Good facilities
problems with heating of the room
No air con in rooms
Friendliness of staff. Buffet breakfast had an excellent choice of foods. Location was ideal for visiting the Princes street area and the Royal Mile/ Lawnmarket.
loved location and the staff, good breakfast
way to noisy!!! our room was by the elevator and the walkway up to the royal mile...the elevator never stopped and the partiers were having a good time coming in late or early morning. To warm to not have windows open...could have moved I guess but lived with it. the real problem was the shower!!! awful!!
Location is excellent only two minutes walk from the train station. Hotel is very clean and warm.
Rooms are seriously in need of updating, we were given a room on the back which was very small and looked out over the backyard, however on asking we were moved to the front, found it a bit pricey for what you get.
The lady in the reception was very helpful.
The room was too close to the street and it was not sound proofed. I could hear the noise on the street the whole night.
Staff Location Large room Good shower Reliable wifi
The staff were without exception welcoming. There was a comfortable atmosphere in the hotel and the lifts were excellent.
Close to Waverley train station and Princes Street.
I went there on the night of the referendum to celebrate Scottish Independence ...... Of course that wasn't Jury's fault! :-)
The room wasnt cleaned and had to inform reception who then got it cleaned the tv reception was off for over an hour eventually was fixed and the noise from toilet was very bad when flushed.
We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. The location was fantastic (right by the train station and the Royal Mile) and we very much enjoyed our stay!
had a great overnight stay with my 2 elder daughters.. Family room we just what we needed
Old bathroom and lavatory equipment
Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and quiet room with a great view, good food and excellent central location.
location was good breakfast was delicious
noisy and close to a dark area which was poorly lit from a lone woman's perspective the single room was adequate but cost the same as a double room which is poor
The location was excellent
We had booked a triple room as there were of us friends staying for the night , there were only tea making facilities for 2 people and in the morning there were only 2 towels for the 3 of us , we phoned reception requesting a 3rd one which was told would be sent up straight away , this was not the case and the 3rd person had to use a wet towel
Great location a half block off the Royal Mile. Nice sized room. Great view from room facing the street.
The bath was very dated and worn. It definitely could use updating. My room was noisy in early morning when the garbage trucks arrived just below, but the staff gave fair warning at check in and gave the option for a quiter room.
