Staff locality food.
the breakfast was great a lot of good chioces.
The beds in the room very noisy/squeaky! Every time I turned around or got in and out of bed.
Basin in bathroom cracked Was placed in room at back of hotel where trolleys were wheeled out early morning and woke us
Lovely breakfast choices. Crisp linen. Helpful and friendly staff.
Access from main street
Location was terrific with parking and railway station close by. Easy walk to centre with all the attractions. Good breakfast.
Would have preferred a room with a view (front) rather than a view of a brick wall (back)
On arrival at reception we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. We had requested a quiet room at the time of booking and were offered the same. We ate in the restaurant and the staff were very professional but at the same time friendly. Our main reason for staying in this hotel was to attend the Tattoo from which the castle a short walk up the Royal Mile. All in all I would recommend this hotel for when you are visiting Edinburgh no matter what the occasion.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Nice view on the city from my floor (4). The room was quite big The location is central and close to the main train station Not much noise despite the train station
The hotel is dated, carpets are worn out, the walls (especially in the toilet) should be redecorated. There was a strong smell of smoke (the kind of cumulative smell, ashtray-like) Forniture was worn as well, there was just a hunger for cloths and no wardrobe or drawers. The second night in Edinburgh the second expensive and shabby accommodation .. maybe it is the local style
Excellent response from staff to problems and special requests. View was excellent. Breakfast was a very good buffet with a wide variety of offerings.
Parking was at the train station but walk back to hotel was tolerable. Premium wifi was painful to get logged into.
The location of the hotel is excellent if you want to see Edinburgh by foot.
Staff wasn't exceptionally friendly at check in.
very close to train station and city centre , staff friendly .
bathroom a bit dated ( being picky ) also bed not to my taste , prefer firm , this one soft
The staff could not of been more helpful. The food was excellent, good views and in a good location. Would recommend.
The rat that ran along the back courtyard although to be fair I don't think he was dining or staying at the jury's inn, most likely he was at the travel lodge just down the road. Haha
The staff were brilliant. Very pleasant and helpful.
Having to wait for a table every day for breakfast.
location. room and staff
nothing really. happy all round
Quite expensive and no breakfast included
Not enough condiments for the amount of guests in the room. Would prefer a bigger variety for breakfast.
Close to the center of Edinburgh
Too close to railwaystation, noisy
the staff were first class, the room was bright and airy
no on site parking. the menu was a bit restricting
great location, lovely staff, free wi-fi
very noisy room opposite the train station, dated bathroom needs up dating.
Very close to the station, and so close to the royal mile. And that its located in the old town. One of the best location to be in if travelling to edinburgh in august. The festival that is conducted in august makes it a very lively and festive period, ideal for tourist.
service is good. there was a problem with the hair dryer and it was fixed by the time I came back from lunch. Fast and efficient! The location is the best here. very near to the train station, everywhere are within walking distance!! so good!
The price is quite expensive.. but it's during the peak season.. so maybe it's due to that..
lovely hotel, staff very helpful,. Excellent breakfast, nice bar area.
Location was good, although quite a dark alley could be used as a shortcut.
Rooms very tired and basic, customer service okay, but had to wait 40 mins in morning to be told veggie sausages not available, then offered veggie alternative, 15 mins later told not available, then waited 20 mins for 2 mushrooms to be cooked.
explanation of the route to the hotel is wrong, No amenity available
Brilliantly situated hotel both for easy access to all of Edinburgh City, and train travel.
Street noise at night
