Staff was so polite nothing went wrong room was big enough there were enough towels and walking distance to everywhere
Wifi was slow so we have to buy extra service for 7 pounds and it was expensive. Also they must clean the bathroom more deeply
Location, glass of milk for our baby each night
A number of your staff were hard to fully understand.
Dated appearance A lot of road noise could be heard from the room
staff friendliness and professionalism is exceptional
Location,staff,just about everything
Nothing to report here
The check in was fast and friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and of a good size. I would return again in the future.
Having to stand up in the bath to reach the soap. Being woken up at 6am with the noise in the yard at the back of the hotel. When I booked through booking.com I requested a check in time between 1pm and 2pm. This had clearly not been passed on to the hotel and it would have been useful to have been told this.
Clean Large rooms
Major problem with Noise at the back of the hotel starting around 4:30 AM Needs addressing
Central location. Very nice and helpful staff. Really good accommodation.
Not a lot.
Very central location perfect for exploring both old and new town. Staff very friendly and helpful - good value for money.
I was in a group but walking back to hotel was concerning at night as there were a group of 5 - 6 drunken homeless men in an alleyway near the hotel which we had to walk past to get back.
The hotel as a whole is first class from start to finish
Position between old and commercial parts of town, staff very kind and helpful, spacious rooms, there is everything you may want and you may get in any upper level hotel. WiFi is free and fast (I even managed to stream movies with no issue at all)
A bit tricky to set get the desired temperature, but a combination of window and radiator solves the issue
Stayed for two nights at the weekend Hotel was really lovely relaxing quiet and very convient. Bus station 5min walk. Princes Street less than 10mins. Staff were amazing really friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast real value for money. Edinburgh is a beautiful city. Fabulous hotel
Option of quiet room at back as trains can be noisy at front. Took my breakfast back to bed! Spacious room
At back you could hear a lot of drunken laughter going on late at night.
Being woken up by housekeeping even though we left the sign on the door
Location - handy for station & Old Town Friendly helpful staff Very good breakfasts
No real ale in bar
very central to shops and castle , train station just 100 yards , lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance for evening meal and KFC and burger king as well .breakfast was ample buffet style ,anything you wanted and lots of it ,room was good with few faults ,we travelled as , single parent with 2 teenage boys plus 2 grandparents ,and were given adjoining rooms All in all just what we needed for a nice weekend in Edinburgh .
me and the boys shared a room and the triple room is one double and one single so the boys had to share a bed . only one towel each provided , clean but not luxurious .
View from hotel was nice over Edinburgh.
No biscuits with the tea and coffee making facilities.
I found the breakfast very good with a great choice.
Was put in a room which was very noisy and got wakened early in the morning.
Hotel was in a great location for visits to Edinburgh castle and whiskey tour. Staff were very helpful in recommending excellent restaurants, pubs and attractions.
Only negative was bed, it was very uncomfortable
Great breakfast. Helpfull staff
Excellent staff attitude and helpfulness. Very good breakfast range and quality. Room facilities good and clean with towels changed every day (three in our case).
Room "L" shaped with bed "tucked" into corner against wall and not the most comfortable for a couple (not very wide and dipping to middle).
Liked the position of the hotel, great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff everywhere.
Noise from the back yard 7am ish some mornings, moving supplies of some sort.
cant fault the place top marks for sure we had a problem with meeting up with people and zall was solved by the staff excellent room with excellent view
it was perfect for us ... no problems
