Good location excellent service ver pleasant staff
I liked the staff very polite
The bed sheets were very rustly you could here yourself move about.
Check in staff Reduced parking fee at main station car park
Office party / disco was very noisy and meant bar / reception area off limits to other clients
Central location was superb Great breakfast, very complete Single bed for 4 year old was free and much appreciated
Very friendly staff. Great location to walk into town. Would stay there again.
There was a very noisy party on the premises until 12.30. Loud music and shouting.
Fire alarm going off at 7am
Location, location, location, friendliness of staff, cleanliness and breakfast.
Bar staff not particularly friendly or helpful on the Friday evening. They were clearing away, and washing up and not eager to serve the few customers they had.
The hotel should provide free bottle of water in room.
I liked being so close to the station. I chose this place for its proximity to my daughter living in The Canongate. Fabulously close to the Royal Mile but also to Jenners and the Christmas Market in Princes Street. I thought the room clean and effective but not charming in any way. The bed is a standard double which was fine for me but no use for a couple used to a King. An honest place for an honest price.
However...This is the noisiest place ever. My room on the 2nd floor faced the street. Wheelie suitcases, traffic and more traffic. Fair enough, it never pretended to be paradise. But the windows and walls are thin, so thin. The wind comes through the window and you can hear almost everything next door. Do not come for a particularly romantic break. My second night was the Friday before Christmas. After the guy who was shouting Who ya looking at for five solid minutes - perhaps to himself I suspect - someone later took a huge wheelie bin for a long walk either down the steps or over a wall. Lots and lots of happy people going by, click clack, rumble, shout. Ear Plugs and a sense of humour are required.
This was our 3rd stay at a jury's inn the staff are always very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend the breakfast
The staff were great. The breakfast and general hotel facilities and cleanliness great.
The room smelled damp, not just a little, I mean it smelled mouldy. Sleep was disturbed very early in the morning (guessing 6am) by staff moving barrels and then bins and goodness knows what else very noisily in the courtyard below us.
Location & good breakfast range. Pricey but tasty bar menu for eating in the room.
Wifi reception was very weak on the 5th floor; room was not cleaned in time for children's nap (3:30 pm), three requests before an extra towel & rubbish bin supplied two days running. Staff communication /responses to queries both before and after arrival was inconsistent and unhelpful.
Noise and and uncomfortable beds
Great central location. Comfortable clean room. All the staff we came into contact with were both helpful and friendly. we would certainly happy to visit again. We also enjoyed a nice breakfast both mornings we were there.
Nothing what so ever.
The room was a good size very clean & comfortable at a great price &perfect location.
Meals were good value for money Beds were comfortable Room was clean and adequately spacious .
Had to ask for milk as there was no milk in room. Very noisy in the mornings when moving large bins just under window
It's a perfect location. You can easily walk to grass market, princes street and George street. Staff were friendly.
Excellent price for a good budget hotel in a great location. Comfortable if basic facilities. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Excellent cooked breakfast. We found the standard wifi sufficient for our needs.
Nothing at all to complain about as long as you don't expect trimmings beyond a budget price.
The staff were really friendly and I can not fault them x
I found it a little annoying not to have drinking water in the hotel room. Especially when I heard what they were charging in the bar for a bottle! The room was cold at night and the duvet was not sufficient so I have to admit to sleeping badly at night.
location excellant great value friendly staff
Central location. .right beside the Royal Mile.
On arrival. .the reception area was being used for a Christmas Party. .had to check in at a cloak room hatch. Not impressive.
Location is very central.
I travelled with my partner to edinburgh for a weekend break before Crimbo. We arrived at the hotel around 10am the receiption staff where really helpful and let us leave our luggage as the room wasn't ready. We did get to check in early which was great. We booked a superior room our room had a view over the City but other than that it was pritty basic.
Close to train station
Couldn't check in earlier than the 2pm check in time.
