very limited parking, ok if arrive after 6pm sat night, but otherwise a bit of a problem. For a new build for a hotel, the rooms and hallways are not very sound proof. Could hear conversation next door and lots of hallway noise due to gap at bottom of door.
No free car parking no free wi-fi room was a bit cold with the heating turned on
Location was great Staff were lovely & helpful
cost was high bed was really hard window stuck open (fixed promptly)
Room was cold and air con was impossible to work Staff were less than helpful apart from the barman who did try to assist small car park No decent food after 10pm
Good breakfast, plenty of choice and friendly helpful staff. Good selection of pastries hams cheeses fruit pots as well as good choice of hot selection at buffet breakfast ie 3 choices of eggs, hot meal tasty well presented self service style but enough staff if you needed anything .
Stayed in room 245. At check in was served by surly young male who failed charm school, felt he was doing us a favour we both commented in lift on way to room. On arrival in room found it dim and bland. Very large crack in sink in bathroom which we would not tolerate at our own home. We returned to our room after evening out to bass reverberations of music from function room below. Seriously loud and base heaving thumping. Unable to hear t.v due to level. My husband rang reception who informed him music would go off at 12 midnight. My husband again phoned down re the terrible level of the pulsing sound at 1230ish to then be told music would be on till 1am. Music went off at 1.20am certain of time as was unable to try to sleep. We won't be back!!! Stayed at hotel in York last weekend through booking. Com and couldn't fault our stay, so we are balanced people who are not just tyre kickers. Advice note egg rid of lad on reception gave us little faith on taking up our issues. In fairness on checkout nice girl spoke to us apologised for noise, but we are leaving never to return at that point!!
The hotel is in a great location and close enough for the city centre without being in the hustle and bustle. The staff are helpful and friendly.
On arrival at the room the toilet had not been cleaned and the shower tray was not draining. I have been before and loved the room. Just a little disappointed this time round with cleanliness although the staff have advised that this will be raised.
Very comfortable beds and loved the breakfast
nothing, all good.
Very clean hotel staff very friendly and helpful resturants good quality and value
Would have liked a view of river
Lots of car parking. Overall feel of hotel warm, comfortable, friendly and efficient staff.
Having to pay for car parking at hotel. Didn't like televisions in the bar, distracting from the wonderful river views.
Everything about it, the room was clean, fresh and comfortable. The staff were very helpful Excellent stay.
Arrived early, informed reception that car in car park.Although busy receptionist checked computer and found a room ready for us to check in there and then.Breakfast buffet was excellent, great choice of hot and cold.
Temperature of rooms during night was overpowering, informed accommodation manager of this on check out who was aware of this from previous guests
Pleasantly surprised that the quality was so high given the very reasonable cost. Helpful, courteous staff. Well positioned on riverside with great views and convenient for access to Newcastle's shopping/dining etc. Clean, comfortable and cosy rooms. (December). .
Noisy heating system. One night there was excessive noise from other guests on the same floor which persisted until about 5am-not good. Clock in church tower on opposite riverbank chimes hourly throughout the night. None of the traveller categories in the survey fit as I was travelling with a family member of similar age to myself ie. no children
Good breakfast Bed linen Lovely view
Freezing room Lukewarm shower at 0815hrs not good enough. Other than the view there was nothing superior about the room
Late check out
Hard pillows Staff trying to clean room at ten in morning
Food Ambience Location
Lovely place to visit.
Lots of noise from other guests on both nights of our stay. Pillows are very hard. Car park very small.
Good all round hotel
Very expensive at £159 per night
They loved everything and thought the staff were wonderful! Thank you. M.Kraus.
Clean and comfy accommodation. Great views from restaurant and snack bar. Proximity to the modern art gallery and even better the Sage concert Hall. A couple of mins. from the "Q" bus service to the city centre.
The dispenser for soap in the basin band shower. Sufficient needs to be 'pumped out'. Distance from Newcastle quayside
Lovely comfortable room
Location slightly too far out, quayside bus unreliable so it was a bit of a walk on and out if Newcastle on a clod day, would be different in summer!
Price, location, breakfast, up keep of hotel
Staff lack of eye contact and interest
friendly, helpful, good ambassadors for the hotel
Not enough car parking spaces.
I really enjoyed my breakfast, my room was cold but that's only thing that I could complain about but the bed was comfy. Staff friendly & helpful too
