Located in the heart of Newcastle, Surtees Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the city’s main train station. The bars, restaurants and attractions offered by the Quayside are less than half a mile away.

Near enough to walk to City Centre. Far enough to get some sleep!
Parking facilities very limited and can be a problem.
The location was fantastic for our night at the sage
Paying for overnight parking
Great location for wat we wanted

Noisy doors slamming
Said breakfast was only till 10 and my friends got one @10.45
Didn't know wifi was included until we'd left
Very conveniently situated for the Baltic, the Sage and the Quayside area generally. Complimentary wi-fi. Comfortable room and copious breakfast.
The location of the hotel is fantastic and the staff were really friendly.
Hen parties/ stag dos was a party until 4am next to us.
the staff were exceptional especially the bar staff very helpful
Clean, quiet, spacious room and brilliantly placed for local attrations or a night out in "Party City".
Functional rather than stylish or homely.
Clean spacious room. Good bathroom. Buffet breakfast excellent .Helpful staff on reception.
Coffee at breakfast was awful. Deliveries and the moving of waste bins creating a great deal noise outside just after 6am was very loud and we did not appreciate it at that time of the morning and were unable to get back to sleep.
Good location. Good food and drinks. Nice river view room.
Shower not powerful enough. And a very small car park. To to park In car park next door. Cost £20!
A scenic short stroll across the millenium bridge then uplhill to centre in minutes (or take a frequent kryside bus)
Limited on site parking. Not very obvious exact location until you know where it is.
Cleanliness. Staff attitude especially in restaurant. Overlooking river.
Immediate area a little drab.
Value for money Good bar food Spacious room
I made a mistake on the booking and the staff went out of their way to correct it and avoid any additional costs to our booking. The hotel is in great location and the rooms are good. I will definitely stay again.
Parking was a bit limited if you arrive later in the day.
we really enjoyed our stay, its in the perfect location just 5 min walk to the bridge. we will defo be returning to this hotel
By mistake I booked the jury's inn at Gateshead and did not realise until my husband and I went to book in. As we were at a wedding at a venue over the road and we had already had a drink and couldn't drive we were stuck. The man behind the desk was very helpful ( sorry can't remember his name) he called the hotel at Gateshead and cancelled our room there and gave us a room on the same floor as my elderly mum whom was on her own. He was very helpful explaining that it has happened before. Don't know what we would of done as our car was parked up at the venue. The room was very clean, spacious and warm and the breakfast was excellent ..
That I couldn't remember his name .
Close proximity to Newcastle Quay side, yet far enough away not to be disturbed
Was due to checkout at 12 on Sunday flight was at night and we were given room until 8 that night complimentry, great location lovely views
No leisure facilities
Easy to access from A1
Lack of parking
Friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the whole hotel, location was ideal.
Someone threw up in the lift!!!
Service, room, breakfast, view all great
Late bar was a welcome surprise
Need to improve parking arrangements
The check in desk was really helpful. The location is brilliant for the Sage, the Baltic and all Quayside attractions. River view rooms really good value and quiet at night.
Nothing. All good but guess it could be a it noisy in some of the rooms if lots of hen and stag 'dos' happening.
