Cleanliness, good food, very friendly staff and the location was excellent over the Quayside.
a little too pricey for the food
Perfect location for a concert at The Sage. Walked over Millennium Bridge for a meal on the Newcastle Quayside.
The car park was full but we managed to find a place eventually.
location modern decor decent well appointed room
noisy road facing room charmless unsmiling reception restricted parking that you hav to pay for.
Cold food from room service
Fantastic Location, really modern, clean rooms, excellent staff.
Friendliness of staff location for the Sage the cleanliness the meal on friday evening (Superfood Salad)
Having to pay £6+ for car parking within a 24 hour period. I stayed parked the first night and mentioned this to the representative who had signed me in. She assured me I could parking on a single yellow outside the hotel, which I did the second night. After I checked out I arrived at my car only to find a parking ticket for £50. I am contesting this but feel let down by the hotel representative for giving me inaccurate information. Bed too hard. Asked for a room close to the Elevator and was given a room at the furthest possible distance away. disabled! Ordered salmon salad but had salmon, chips, onion rings and tomatoes delivered for room service.
The location was good for our concert at the Sage, Gateshead.
Location was very good although a little difficult to find at first instance.
TV reception was poor and kept breaking up.
The location and river views.
The beds could be of a more generous size.
Right next to the wayside lovely view from our room. Breakfast was lovely, we would stay again
location for sage
pillows very uncomfortable
Watching the Tyne ebbing and flowing below through the full length window. Closeness to Sage, Gateshead.
Any minor problems such as operating the heating system, were acted upon promptly. Staff were unfailingly pleasant and this alone makes such a difference. The overall ambience is welcoming. The location is excellent, without being within the city centre itself.
Everything!!! The location, the friendly staff.. The room, the view. The fact we were right on the river.the buffet breakfast ( hot and cold buffet ) We would highly recommend this hotel
Walking distance from millennium bridge and plenty of food outlets nearby!
The chair in the room was dirty and no hair dryer in the room,
Very convenient for the city centre and restaurants. Exceptionally convenient for the SAGE and all the concerts and music there (this trip was booked especially to see 2 concerts with Sir Thomas Allen). Well recommended for a cultural visit. Lovely reception staff who took time to help and give extra information - thank you
Small car park - but there is alternative parking nearby.
I bought this hotel for my parents 30th wedding anniversary as they were going to see lee evans at metro. They loved it, at first didn't like the fact It wasn't central but the hotel won them over, they had tea on the way into town and a lovely walk. They liked the staff and the room was very clean.
Don't provide a toilet brush for some reason but a lot of hotels do this not sure why though?
Really nice hotel with lovely view from the bar.
Booked hotel as we wanted to be near the metro arena. Upon arrival we were told that we were at the quays side. Bit disappointed but it just meant that we had to book taxis.
great value for money
