Hotel was clean, well situated and quiet. Breakfast on day 1 was poor in both service and quality. There were items unavailable and customers could be heard repeatedly asking for more of the breakfast items. In my case there was no bacon or hash browns and the scrambled egg and sausages had been left uncovered for so long they had gone hard. There were no croissants for nearly 15 minutes. I think if you can see you are running out of items you get them topped up asap rather than waiting for them to run out.

We were looking for a room just for one night's stay after a gig at The Pavillions. We wanted a clean, value place to stay, centrally placed for a night out and shopping the next day and that is exactly what we got. The room was very clean. It was basic but modern and perfectly adequate for our needs. The bath/shower were both good and the bathroom was white, clean and modern. The location was very close to Drake's Circus Shopping Centre and about 10 minutes walk from the train station (we took a taxi for £4.60 because it was pouring with rain). The bar was very expensive - a pint of Murphy's cost about £4 (no Guinness), For that price you would expect good service but the barmaid was hopeless - she didn't even know which bottle on the shelf was tequila - I had to show her ... and then couldn't make the till work - took about 15 minutes to serve 2 drinks! We'll stick to pubs next time. We didn't try the breakfast - we went into town to eat instead. All in all though, we only wanted a good-value room for the night - £59 for two was worth it.

Friendly and helpful staff, large clean modern room. This room had a vey hard bed and pillows and the door adjoining another room let far too much noise through as you could hear every conversation very clearly. Although it is set in a great central location the noise from the busy road gave us an early wake-up.

Location from shops restaurants and the ferry port. Large rooms, aircon, good value. We had to take breakfast early on the sunday great breakfast but it was cold! Parking is very expensive the above reflects on location (parking) Services (cold breakfast) value for money (parking!) which would otherwise have been scored higher

The room was lovely and the staff were a pleasure to deal with! Was also extremely well-priced, although that might have been because I chose to go at a time when there tends to be a dip in tourism. All in all, I had a great stay and would definitely go back! The breakfast was a bit expensive. I'd have expected a better range of cereals, baked goods and fruit for that price.

The facilities in the room like free tea and coffee are good, also extra towels and blankets come in handy. Beds are very comfortable and the shower is lovely. The staff took quite a while to check us in and didn't seem to care that there was a queue of people waiting, 3 people do not need to help one person check in. They always seem to bill my card late causing issues with my bank, I would prefer the payment to be taken as soon as I have checked out. Maybe I will have to start paying cash instead.

Greeted by friendly efficient staff. Comfortable lounging areas. Nice size room, reasonably priced snacks. Whilst room cleanliness was overall very good, I felt that the area under the bath taps and rim of the toilet would benefit from some more intense cleaning. (Not nice looking at black gunge whilst having a relaxing soak). Breakfast was very good, with a good choice of food, however the air conditioning in the restaurant was so cold that the hot food was cold by the time we got it to the table.

Dinner in main restaurant was terrible, for the price paid. I regret not ordering in the bar. Chef should remember to taste the food before serving, I doubt he would have served it if he did.

The size of the room and the added extras such as tissues, nice shampoo, lots of coffee and tea in the room. The selection at breakfast was good. Needed more milk to go with the coffee and tea in the room.
