Modern decor, and good sized clean room, comfy bed and coffee and tea making facilities. Friendly staff on arrival were very welcoming too. Really nice breakfast with a selection of hot food items and also continental. Flat screen tv in room with a good selection of freeview channels. Great location too as it was only a 5 minute walk from Watford Junction station. Good value for money :-)
Hotel was clean, staff were very friendly, good facilities, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very clean, liked the free safety deposit box, hotel was very quiet no noise disturbance through the night
The bar was extremely expensive, all of the alcohol on tap was horrible tasted as if it was watered down (suggest only buying bottled drinks), wi fi didn't work in our room, parking was a bit of a nightmare
Reception and bar staff where extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Easy city centre location with good size rooms and facilities.
Road noise if at the front of the hotel.
Lovely stay. Close to the Warner Bros studio, was a 10minute drive down the road.
No parking onsite.
Brilliant room and facilities. Staff were extremely friendly and we had a lovely stay. Thank you
Location to Watford Station
Beds were too hard
The staff were extremely friendly on a arrival, the room was impeccably clean and you are perfectly located for eating, socialising and commuting into Central London or other local areas
Extra space in the superior family room.location is ideal for central London and for Watford centre.
Close to train station. Staff nice and friendly.
Dinner in the restaurant slow and food not great. Wifi almost unusable, super-slow. Paid upgrade available. Why?! Maybe they'll be providing luke-warm water in the shower for free next and asking for money to make it hot!
reception staff excellent a correction on beds was dealt with promptly
breakfast was poor - not replenished quickly
No adapters at the Reception
Large room good tv and wifi. Central to city centre. Excellent bathroom ensuite.
Recommended car park very isolated. Although has video surveillance inside, late night local 'screaming rave' event was intimidating from 'wide-eyed' youths on pedestrian exit. Cost inhibitive. OK £6 per day if you leave it there all day, but because we had to go places every 4 hours each time we passed through barrier had to pay £6 therefore £18 was cost for 24 hours.
We stayed here for our trip to Harry Potter world, the location was fantastic - about a 1minute walk from the centre of Watford and the bus to Harry Potter dropped off right outside the hotel. Parking just across the road for £4.50 for 24 hours. Staff were very helpful, a very good experience all round. And Harry Potter was fantastic!
The staff saw we had 2 older children and as soon as we booked in they said they would put an extra bed in the room as the sofa bed was a little small. This was our first trip to London as we went to Warner brothers studio in Watford. The hotel was in an excellent spot for the bus link to the studio tour and my daughters loved every minute. So thank you to everyone that made it special for my girls. What lovely friendly people....We will be back next year xxx love from us from the north xxx
The staff provided a birthday cake and card for me which I was very touched by - and the cake was delicious! They also made it easy to park the car outside as I have a Blue Badge - much appreciated.
Good standard of accommodation. Iron & board in each room. Short walk from train station and main high street. Car parking reasonable at £6 for 24 hours on Sutton st carpark nearby.
£10 head charge forbreakfast. Can walk and get breakfast on high street in cafe or weatherspoons.
Thoroughly excellent low to mid-price hotel. All facilities were in good condition and quite comfortable Value-for-money one of the best we've seen. Most convenient to railway station though a bit of a walk for we older people. Still, tolerable. If visiting Watford for the Harry Potter Film Studio Tour (at any age) this hotel cannot be bettered!
Cantankerous lift requiring somewhat arcane use of guest card for access. Once you figure it out it's not hard but the first time is very confusing.
every think air con great bed so soft and curtains so think when u wake up your think its still night time
the key card lift annoying and no 24h bar or mini bar or vending the food over price but standard for that star hotel
Spacious room, comfortable bed and air conditioning which I was able to adjust to ensure comfort. Staff we're very helpful and directed me to a secure car park where it cost £12 for a 48hour stay. The hotel is within a striking distance of the town centre with plenty of bars and restaurants and only a short walk to catch the train to London. Watford is a good place to stay if coming from the north west of England as it is easy to get on and off the motorway network
The bathroom was small but access was hindered by the door opening inwards. One had to navigate around the door to use the toilet and navigate again when leaving the bathroom. Limited space to dry oneself after taking a shower too.A sliding door would be a better option.
Bath room facilities first class very clean large room breakfast was excellent will definitely book this hotel again when visiting Watford
Bed was uncomfortable on the small side, could not seem to adjust the air con to a cooler setting
The staff were friendly and helpful. They provided us with an additional bed when we arrived. (Family room with double and sofa bed, additional z-bed was offered) Location perfect for train station, shops and Harry Potter Studios. No parking at hotel but directly across you can park for 24hrs -£4.50 .
The fact that when I arrived was told I had to pay for the first night.....I wasn't the.only one...then putting the full amount on hold on my daughters card......thought that I was to pay on leaving...!!!!
great staff. great location. buffet excellent.
no parking on premises
