Brilliant location, lovely staff and very comfy hotel
Bar service was great! Beds were comfortable!
Only issue I had was the atm, few of us had problems taking money out! Didn't have channels for the football!
Great staff - in particular Marcus who helped us out with everything we needed - thoroughly enjoyed our staff
The room was a good size, the hotel has a pleasant feel, it was great value for money and in an ideal location for us.
The sound-proofing was almost non-existent and it was noisy throughout the time we spent in our room. It is to be expected at this time of year but I had a terrible night's sleep
Prompt booking in Staff very helpful
Room a bit small Room could do with better lighting
good position helpful reception staff
The fire alarm rang at night but there was no assistances, announcement or explanation either at the time or later. There was a vagrant sleeping in the hallway of my floor all night. The room and the common parts were dirty. Although major areas were obviously cleaned, items such as windows, ledges etc clearly were not cleaned. There were finger a large number of smudges everywhere. The maintenance repairs and redecoration was a very low standard indeed.
Comfortable fairly large room. Everything working.
Bathroom a bit tired and towels not the fluffiest. Also no where to put anything down in the bathroom.
Best Hotel bed I have ever slept in, no sore back in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was ideal for the Radio Arena, just a short walk. Food was good, the beakfast was tasty and there was lots of choices (sausages were yummy)
Not enough seating in the bar, tables for six and more were taken by two to three people and the other seating out in the reception area is uncomfortable and bland, they need to remove the square cubes and put more tables and chairs in that area. My biggest gripe is the cost of the drink at the bar, next time I visit I will not drink in the Hotel, £26 for 3 people to have a drink is way over the top. Same drinks in the Arena were £12.
Me and my husband stayed at the Jurys Inn to see a show at the Metro Radio Arena. I booked the hotel as it was close to the venue, but I hadn't realised how close till we arrived at the hotel. The Metro Radio Arena was literally across the road and we had a view of it from our room window! We only stayed for one night to attend the show. But our room was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was extra, but there is plenty of choice to suit everyone's requirements. We didn't need to check out of our room till 12 noon either, that gave us chance to see the sites of Newcastle and walk off the big breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel to a friend.
Good hotel with great facilities. Ideal location for visiting central Newcastle and ideally placed for events at the Metro Radio Arena.
bed breakfast mirrors, actualy everything
Closeness to our venue Facilities Spacious room
We had to wait at reception to sign in because we - and others behind us - were thought to be part of a group being dealt with. . The other receptionists were not alert enough to notice we were trying to catch their attention. But this is a minor point.
a good location for concerts and rail station to metro centre also walking distance to town centre and shops
Staff were friendly
Other guests kept us awake from 2am till 5am shouting and banging on doors. Walls were paper thin we could here conversations. The middle elevator had been used as a urinal. The lager tasted like it had been watered down. And we had to pay £7 a night for the hotels parking which we were not told about when booking.
Staff very helpful and friendly no trays available for breakfast staff helped even to going for tea and bringing it to the table
I asked for a walk in shower as both my mother and I are bad with arthritis I was told I had one but when we went to our room it was a shower over the bath which was no good to us as there was nothing to hold on to while climbing into the bath
Ideal location when visiting metro arena in Newcastle. Comfortable rooms
Helpful staff. Good location. Car parking ok once we got our bearings. Good pillows.
Room too warm for us.
Walls so thin could hear everything going on in the next room. This wasn't a pleasant experience. Hotel shabby looking and room needed a good clean
Friendly staff, excellent location will definitely stay again
Old sock and sweets under beds
situated exactly where we wanted to be. If your at the arena for a concert, and then out in the city after, no better hotel
Location was great. pretty good value.
Shower curtain wasn't able to cope with the power of the shower so had to be careful with that. a member of staff (we think) entered the room at 9am waking us up. Not sure why.
