Good sized room, clean and well equipped. Beds clean and comfy. TV quite big with good picture.
The only problem was that the breakfast tables had not been clean properly and there were crumbs and spills that we had to clean ourselves.
Where it was & how quite it was as near to cars etc !
Bed was quite hard ! But the worse thing was the shower head was fixed & it was far to high up ! I could'nt reach it to move ! Had to stand on bath sides ! No Heath & safety , I am 5 ft 4 ins !
Not an awful lot.
Incredibly noisy temperature system. The corridors were also not good from an acoustics point of view. Slamming doors. Lack of check out staff at a period where it could be have been predicted as being busy. Bathroom pretty antiquated compared to the modern reception.
location a plus. 3GBP taxi from train station. 3 GBP taxi to City Port. Handy walk to restaurants & shopping. Quiet. Southampton's great atmosphere. Right on the park. Friendly staff. Good wifi.
11 GBP breakfast a little better than others I've had but 5 GBP would be more in line with value. The Brits don't seem to understand convenient bathrooms. No place to put toiletries. No in room safe but a sign warning you not to leave valuables in your room.
Quite convenient, quiet location within easy walking distance of the city centre, next to a park. Big rooms, very comfy.
Beds are a touch hard.
Everything Super hotel super location Great staff Beautiful room
Near all amenities very good for linking up to cruise ships.
Everything was good
Good value and good location - we were a family of 3 so booked a room with 3 proper beds - no sofa bed which was deciding factor over the premier inn.
Dull lighting and lots of dark wood gave this hotel an outdated feel. Reception staff were helpful but did not listen. Parking was complicated but once you understood what you needed to do it was conveniently accessed and close to the hotel.
Previously car parking was at Charlotte Place under the hotel, and car parking fees were paid by the hotel. This has changed, I was sent to a different car park and not told car parking was no longer part of the package. Returned to the car park 4 days later to find it covered in parking tickets. The hotel said that's your problem, you could see the public car park charge. I said as far as I was concerned I was a hotel guest not a member of the public.
The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. The location of the hotel is excellent as everything was in walking distance.
Staff were extremely polite and helpful
no room service, lack of parking
Very central. Friendly staff
Very expensive for 3 nights
Rooms were a good size clean comfortable beds
The fact you had to get a sheet from reception for the sofa bed bit inconvenient. Breakfast was very busy which meant a wait for cooked items but good when arrived
We managed to get a room when everywhere else was full.
No Parking No signage to drop off point First Non-Smoking room we were given smelled of smoke - had to be Safety deposit boxes in reception not in room Very busy with cruise ship passengers. Expensive for what it was.
Location was good for us.
Bar service was bad
Excellent reception staff who couldn't do enough for us. Good quality accommodation in good location for cruise port. Would certainly use it again.
Free WiFi Reasonable food prices in both cafe and dining room. Staff was extremely helpful in finding local sites, eateries, and shopping, and with transport to cruise ship.
Good hotel good location
Reasonable position near restaurants and the park. Clean and tolerable for a single night stay.
We arrived in the early morning after a cruise. The receptionist was understandably busy with departing guests but we sat for three hours in the foyer while many parties departed. We checked twice during this time but the receptionist told us, without checking, that there were no rooms cleaned yet. This continued until 1pm when I pointed out politely that it seemed unusual that so many guests had departed without a single cleaning being completed. Only then did he enquire for the first time and find that there were indeed rooms available.
Was not happy about with the fire alarm going off early hours of morning was hard to get back to sleep there was no fire, apart from that excellent hotel will hopefully book again in november if i get good deal
Friendly helpful staff when checking in nothing was a problem, staff in restaurant also helpful we got there in time for a meal they said that they was about to close because they had been quite all evening , they let us have a table anyway food was nice but a little pricey
Staff were very friendly and professional.
No parking at the hotel meant a short walk back to the car the following morning.
200 characters are not enough, room was full of noise from the lift shaft, breakfast was a fiasco, no parking, poorly supplied bathroom the list is endless. grossly overpriced.
