Jurys Inn Croydon  

The hotel was lovely I don't have a bad thing to say about it at all. The staff were very accommodating and even when my friend had lost his phone, the Concierge just couldn't do enough to help. Great place to stay.

The only thing that I can say us the fact that they don't offer room service. Didn't fancy going down to the restaurant as I had just had a shower...had to send the fella out for some food instead.

Value for money. With a great view from the room. It's located in a peaceful and safe area and there is a big mall nearby. The London Bridge and Victoria are just 20 minutes by train.

Situated near the railway station. Clean, nice rooms.

Car Parking in NCP - across a very busy road and only way to cross was via underground, which is a little daunting!

On my third day the internet was partially working despite calls to the support team to rectify it.

Very conveniently located for travel to London and Gatwick Airport. Comfortable and clean room.

Restaurant was quite expensive but there were plenty of places to eat nearby.

It was better than sleeping in the street in Croydon!

I had booked a non-smoking room but when I arrived at 11pm (I told them in advance that I'd be arriving late) they only had a smoking room left. I had no other options at that time and had to put up with a smelly room in a corridor which stank of smoke. Complaining was a waste of time - it was take it or leave it, at the price already agreed with Booking.com. I'll not stay at Jurys Inn again nor would I recommend it to others. Their Customer Care needs to be sorted out.

good service, good price, good location close to public transport.

quality of f&b, cheap furniture, breakfast very simple, check out took long, parking is in a public shopping car park and can not be paid for at the hotel.

The room was very clean and comfortable and the decor was fresh and modern.

Rooms are nice

I was informed I needed photo Id to stay. A new company policy that they hadn't bothered to tell me when I booked the room. I didn't happen to have any on me. The manager was unpleasant and simply said I couldn't have a room. After 10 minutes of arguing he agreed to make an exception. He tried to make me feel as if he were doing me a huge favour. Rude man

We were woken by the boilers at 5am on the sat morning so had to change rooms - did leave a note at the hotel with this information on.

Well situated for travel to Central London, as it's between East and West Croydon stations, so it's easy to get to Victoria and St Pancras for Eurostar. The rooms are modern, well-equipped and very clean.

The counter staff did not handle the check-out professionally. They didn't seem to understand that the normal, transparent process involves printing out and showing the guest a copy of the bill before paying it, not afterwards, so that any mistake can be rectified. An envelope was only provided for the bill and receipt after asking for it, and was clearly an afterthought as it was a much larger window envelope. The check-out took far too long. I stood patiently for a long time in line, then the clerk tried to serve somebody else who pushed in, left his room key, then went to do something else, and I had to insist on being served. There was a lot of kerfuffle about a broken printer before the bill was printed (after I had paid). Fortunately, I checked out in good time for my train, but I suspect there may be people with tighter schedules who would have been seriously delayed by all this.
