Very clean and quiet, we felt very welcome and at home, just what we imagined a cottage this age would be like.
Stairs very narrow, which was fine for us could be a problem for older, less fit people
Location was good for our needs at the time, close to sons wedding, quaint,a few days nice
For tall people ceilings an experience. Not great for more than a few people, must have hire car NO other transport easy, taxis expensive for their.
This was a beautiful little cottage which was ideally situated for our stay. The host, Anna was delightful and nothing was too much trouble for her. We will definitely book here again if we are visiting the area.
The cottage itself is idilic and the room with en suite was cosy and the shower in particular was lovely. It is around a 20 minute taxi from Milton Keynes but was a much better option than staying the the usual hotel chains.
Beautiful cottage. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Excellent, friendly service and incredible breakfast!
general ambience with uneven floors commensurate with 400 year old building
Difficult stairs for elderly guests with no rail or hand holds on narrow steeply winding access
The owner Anna is clearly interested in her clients and was very welcoming.
It is an old building, so wifi is variable.
Beautiful house from 1600's, wonderful setting, and lovely location near edge of the cotswolds. Anna is a perfect host - the breakfast was so tasty, and we slept great. Would def stay again.
Room heights are low, so if you are a giant with a bad back, this may not be for you. For everyone else it should be great!
Anna could not have been more helpful. A wonderful Host. Chocolate box beautiful cottage with every modern amenity. A bed to die for and we did indeed sleep like the dead - bliss. Excellent breakfast. Ceilings are very low but my partner, 6ft3ins managed to negotiate the beams successfully. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Thank you Anna for a wonderful stay.
Beautiful cottage, beautiful area. Cottage has loads of character, low beams (some really low) and very twisted stairs, something amazing and well thought out in every room. Host is amazing and is on site however not in the same part of the cottage as you are so there is a great deal of privacy. Perfect location for visiting Addington Showground
Car parking not ideal but easily solved with local parking if there is not a space outside
I liked everything :) Staying in this lovely cottage was a dream come true. The services, the host, the room everything was of top quality.I recommend!
Anna was such a welcoming host that we left feeling we were old friends. Great breakfast with top ingredients. It was all "just so" perfect.
The facilities, the fact that you had use of the kitchen and reading area.
The parking is very difficult. Off road parking, is very limited as well, very narrow lane. The shower is actually not ensuite but in the bedroom itself. The bin was not emptied for our whole length of stay and the bed not made up.
A m a z i n g !!!!!!
People complaining about stairs. Read the description! It's a house from 1600!
The 400 year cottage and garden was lovely. The rooms were clean comfortable and beautifully decorated. Anna made us very welcome with tea and biscuits on arrival. The breakfast the next morning was very good.
The building was just amazing, so beautifully kept and decorated. Anna was a lovely friendly host and the breakfast cooked and served by Deni was delicious, thanks so much guys!
We only booked one night :(
We loved this place. From the charm of the old house with the beautiful garden to the friendly welcome we got from Anna on arrival. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had on our whole trip, the room lighting was undeniably the best and the shower was great. Breakfast was up there with the best and a happy friendly time. All and all we loved this stay.
The fact that we had to only stay one night and then catch our flight. we had a small problem deciding which gateway to go into.
There was a lovely atmosphere, the cottage was beautiful and the owner was welcoming and helpful.
There wasn't anything we didn't like - but if you're very tall you'll need to watch your head as it's a very old building and the ceilings are therefore lower than you might be used to!
Everything was spot on great place and Anna made us very welcome.
The cottage was beautiful and the welcome just as impressive.
No negatives at all.
The helpful friendly attentive Anna. The breakfasts. The charming cottage.
Lovely quirky cottage with lots of character.
Quite small beds in the twin room.
