Hotel was beautiful room gorgeous bath was amazing with a Jacuzzi like jets, however i felt our room was quite close to the restaurant and could here cuterily being bashed about often and felt we could be heard in the restaurant also.
Close to where I need to be.
The hotel is very old, probably a listed building 1863 I believe. In the second week of January I spent a total of five nights in the hotel. I arrived at 01:30 early Monday morning. The room was cold and there was little hot water to take a shower. The shower regulator did not work correctly. There was no hot water to shave at 06:30. That morning I passed on my problem to the reception. I was told that they would look into it. At the end of my working day I spoke again to the reception and had to show the maintenance staff the defects with the taps in the room and where the breeze was coming through the ceiling paper over the bed. I was moved to another room. The heating in the hotel is turned off at night. The hotel practices an Eco policy but never during the day when the hotel is full of staff. I have never before found it necessary to ware a tracksuit to bed before or to cover my head with a pillow. It was like camping. After discussing the matter with the reception staff I was instructed to inform the night porter for the heating to be turned on if I was cold. I did and on night three it was fine. The following two nights from 22:00 to 06:30 the heating was off again even after requesting it to be turned on. The phone in my room did not work. It did not ring for incoming calls. My wife had to text me to answer the phone! I addressed this to the staff and was told "my remarks would be passed on to the management team". The phone was taken away and returned the next day without change. Breakfast was sparse and I ate once in the restaurant but was not impressed.
Ideal for us as friends 40th was in hotel. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was nice apart from the scrambled eggs they were awful!!
The soap in our room and the scrambled egg!
Reasonable for the price paid
Hotel looks tired
It was a really nice hotel, the rooms we're comfortable and well equipt, staff were friendly too.
It was close too all transport modes, just off the motorway. The staff where all willing to help when asked.

Your Breakfast was very good as there was a good variety. Waitress was very nice also and so too was the receptionist.
Bedroom was cold, but bathroom was freezing cold. Not what you want after a long day. Bathroom was so cold we didn't even shower !
Bed was comortable and food was good
Bathroom facilities very smal. Very small wash hand basin and shower unit. Wif Fi was supposed to be avaialbel but on arrival found that it was only avaialble in public areas.
not really suitable for wheelchairs, corridors on te ground floor arnarrow and could not turn wheel chair into the room, but it is an old building so for one night it was acceptible, also shower did not work

Good price, bar and restaurant nice.
Room was warm and clean
Receptionist in check in Was great, very welcoming, however other staff less so, tended to keep you waiting. Hotel was being used to home people who are waiting to be housed some of the staff were not very hospitable
location, pleasant staff, dinner smelled very good (we had dinner with friends, thoug)
room and bathroom were quite small, mattress was not great for two people, and the breakfast room was freezing with music that was too loud.
Room was quiet
Tea cold for breakfast but did receive hot pot
Good location for an overnight stay for a wedding at The Vu
All staff were very friendly and were the highlight of the stay. A good dinner and very good breakfast
The room was spacious but very tired and a deep clean on the furniture is badly needed. The mattress was cheap and needing replaced
Bath was gorgeous! Staff were very nice and helpful

Toilet/ Shower room had no fan or window that opened also not a lot of room to move about to get dried Breakfast set up not great self service tea/coffee and toast Toaster Faulty both days
Found me another more expensive hotel
They had booking but no rooms.
Location, food was very good and tasty. Ample car parking spaces
Wi fi only free in public areas. As I am not used to sleeping in a single bed, I found it a little uncomfortable, and certain areas of my room had not been cleaned in years.
My wife and I travelled to Kiam hotel from Shropshire for our daughters wedding. The hotel was in a perfect part of town for us to get to the church and the vu for the reception. The staff were more than helpful and was well impressed with a certain lady helping me fix my button hole. Nerves was my excuse. Thank you all
We had a very annoying family whom didn't give any thought to anyone's privacy.. They continued to shout and bang up and down the corridors
