Score from 74 reviews Exceptional
quality of food, friendliness of staff, location, cleanliness of rooms, variety of drinks in the room, supply of bathroom requisites,
bar area - although staff thinking of revamping, look forward to that
Nice large room
The level of noise was shocking. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. The room on the bottom floor is next to the reception, kitchen, lounge and breakfast area. There is no relief from the noise others make and this includes the female owner who seems to be constantly yelling in a high piercing voice or laughing with the same level of shrillness. The breakfast was not good and therefore only attempted it on two occasions. I would not recommend staying here and I came close to walking out during my stay because of the sheer volume of noise.
I was welcomed with a cup of tea My room was extremely comfortable and had a stunning view of Lusty Glaze, with a balcony. My early morning walk on the beach below the hotel was spectacular, matched only by a lovely breakfast on my return. Friendly, great hosts. A very nice experience indeed. The hotel is situated away from the hurly burly of Newquay itself, and is therefore wonderfully calm and quiet, but it's very easy to walk there. I thoroughly recommedn
We would like to thank our host for the welcome and attention we received during our too short a stay. Room No 2 was an excellent choice. The selection of breakfasts was of good quality with very good service. The dining room was very clean, spacious and well situated. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation.
Nothing - apart from the weather
Had great views across bay literally across the road Breakfast was top quality and Lizzie and Colin were welcoming hosts Will stay again
Staff very friendly and helpful and could not do more for their guests. Would not hesitate in staying there again when in Cornwall.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the food was very nice and plentiful and the views from the dining room were beautiful
We stayed in room 1 which is by the reception area, the view of the back garden was not very nice and the reception became a bit noisy (obviously) when other guests came back to the hotel. Next time we will stay in a different room.
We were attending a wedding that we could walk to. Location was good, sea view from room and hotel was great and ambiance was very good. A nice touch with the sherry by the bedside table
the panoramic sea view from our bedroom and from the breakfast room the selection of drinks on the tea tray in our room liz and colin were both very friendly the breakfasts were first class if we ever get to return to Cornwall we will definitely return to the Kallacliff Hotel
this is me personally because my husband loves soft beds - but I have a bad back and a firmer mattress would have suited my needs better we know you have only been their 16 months so maybe when money allows this could be on your list of updating your facilities
It has a wonderful sea view
Quiet location and within easy walking distance of Newquay town. Excellent breakfast and friendly hosts.
The only downside had nothing to do with the hotel - - it was just the shabby Newquay Town that seemed to let down the Newquay population and would prevent us returning.
loved our stay. One of the best places we have stayed at. Nothing too much trouble. If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay again.
Must be the best location for a guest house in Newquay plus genuine friendliness. Could walk everywhere on springy turf from the word go is another great plus. Would certainly come again.
Lovely setting with beautiful, relaxing views of the sea. Hosts Colin & Liz were welcoming, friendly & extremely helpful. As a family with young children we were made to feel more than welcome & our stay was very comfortable. Loved the facilities & of course Lizs breakfast! We would definitely stay again & recommend to others.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Great position just 10 minute walk from town centre. Freshly cooked breakfasts. Very spacious and comfy room with good selection of toiletries. Friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome.
loved the location and breakfast, we were there for a friends wedding at lusty glaze so this was perfect place to stay, only a short stroll from the town too avoiding the congestion
lack of wifi, but not really an issue
Excellent food, very clean Hotel and great hosts.
I can not think of anything
The location of the hotel was perfect, the rooms and facilities very comfortable and clean, excellent breakfast and the owners very friendly and nothing too much trouble.
Great hotel on a cliff, stunning views. Spacious room- more than enough space for us and our toddler. Welcoming owners.
Great location, close to beach but quiet. Friendly hosts and wonderful breakfast.
Not too keen on animal company
Can't beat this fantastic location, lovely room, really kind friendly helpful hosts, delicious breakfasts!
Good Food, Good Wine, Nice view from room 8 ( has balcony ) Good location. Free parking. Excellent Hosts. Very Clean.
nice sea view and good access to beach; good access to main road and easy to locate; lunch, dinner, drinks available (we did not use this option);
ground floor room is large and comfortable but a bit of shop window style due to the picture window (curtains and shutters in place)
Location, friendliness of owners.
Liz and Colin are a lovely couple,we were made to feel welcome the minute we walked through the door,it was our first stay at the kallacliff but will definately be going back.
