Score from 6 reviews Very good
Beautiful location in a small town. Exactly what we were looking for. Pet friendly, and the staff was very accommodating after a mistake with the initial reservation. Amazing food.
Wifi was weak and spotty, and only available in the common areas. Don't let that stop you.
Extremely helpful staff and fabulous location
Comfortable, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Stunning scenery. Would recommend.
Nothing negative to report.
Super helpful staff, very flexible and welcoming to our little puppy. Food was lovely and the staff really tried to accommodate my niece and her requirements. Made broccoli and Stilton soup without the Stilton, especially for her.
Nothing, can't fault it.
Very clean, good sized room with superbly comfortable bed and spotless en-suite. Excellent food, both in the evening and in the morning although the breakfast could have done with some beans to offer moisture. Very happy to both recommend and stay there again.
Only slight issue is lack of designated parking but Kames is very quiet and parking on the road didn't cause an issue.
food -- I have food allergies and they did everything they could to help me. I ate really well all weekend and I'm fine. They catered for my needs really well. Thank you
Every thing, food excellent, lovely warm welcome, bedrooms beautiful, bed so comfy, beautiful views
Nothing to dislike
Staff - attentive and professional. Food - delicious and plentiful. Views - stunning. Sleep - restful. Will most definitely book again, perhaps not Room 7 though! :-)
The only downside of our stay is that the bedroom area of Room 7 has very limited headroom and little natural light. That said, there were no such headroom restrictions in the bathroom.
The setting. Staff were helpful and friendly. Even though bar was very busy found a table for us to have a meal.really nice place to stay.
Apart from small towels nothing.
Friendly staff, nice food, stunning views. Comfortable and clean. No complaints and would most definitely use again.
We had a small double and the ceiling sloped very low over one side of the bed. It was not a problem to us but some may not like it. The lighting on the stairs could have been a bit brighter at night.
The view and location
The sloping ceiling in the attic room of the small double we had.
Shower not very powerful
Location Clean hotel
No parking area No lounge area No room service Room was tired, only one chair for a couple sharing.
The room was clean. The food was good. The view and location excellent Oh and the bar to die for.
Location, room 6 with the view, food, staff, comfy bed

everything! It's a beautiful hotel with amazing atmosphere in a beautiful place, great cuisine and cooking, good breakfast, amazing and friendly staff; no problems with gluten-free bread and cooking
Very nice and clean hotel with sea view. Very gentle and helpful staff. Good breakfast in a very nice and cosy room. We also had dinner in the pub which was very good.
Friendly staff, great food, great views.
Fantastic staff, really really helpful, couldn't be better. Beautiful area. We ate there both nights and the food was really good.
No lounge area, the area you could use as a lounge was part of the bar and smelt of alcohol all the time. They just needed to open the windows.
Away from the hustle and bustle of cities.
The inclement weather
The view from the bedroom window
Sub standard rooms for the tariff. Overpriced food for the quality .
The views, the relaxed, friendly attitude of the staff. we were made to feel very welcome.child friendly, dog friendly. nothing was too much effort for the staff.
staff offered excellent service
