Kays Cottage  

This beautiful cottage is close to many shops & restaurants yet away from it all. Parking is no problem. It is only a 15 minute walk to the lake. VERY clean, and does not miss anything in the room. We loved the different kinds of tea & coffee & hot chocolate, biscuits, chocolates & sweets! You can leave all your toileteries at home because you'll find everything there, even the hand cream was there. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast EXCELLENT and varied. If I'll have the opportunity to go back to Windermere, there's only one accomodation that I will look for - Kay's Cottage!

This cottage is just perfect in every way. If there was one thing that I can improve would be to start breakfast a bit earlier for those early risers who would like to start their day a bit ahead. Having said that, I am sure that breakfast would be provided earlier if requested. Simply a FANTASTIC place!

Stairs could be an issue for elderly or disabled guests.

Room a little too small

Lovely rooms. Triple room for kids had 3 full size,comfy beds and plenty of room. We we're just across the hall and had a lovely view. Lots of xtra bits like choc easter bunnies for kids. Lovely breakfast. Had fantastic meal in 'Hooked' just across rd.

Jean has it all covered at Kays Cottage. I've never stayed anywhere so clean and the location is just a short walk from a number of excellent restaurants. I would definitely stay at Kays Cottage again.

We had a wonderful stay at Kay's Cottage. The room was beautiful, much better than expected, with lots of little extras such as cookies, sweets and extra milk for the wide variety of teas/coffee in the room. The breakfast was heart and delicious. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely no complaints whatsoever!

It was clean and comfortable. The owner, Jean, was very hospitable and accommodating. Had a lovely time with my friends, would definitely go back! The beds were extremely comfy and the bed linen was very luxurious.

The shower in the triple room lacked pressure, but the double room that my other friends had was fine.

We loved everything about Kay's cottage. Everthing that we needed was supplied, breakfast was fantastic and staff were fabulous. The location of the cottage was central and we could easily access everything we wanted. We loved our stay there- so much better than other b&b we have stayed at.

Jean, the owner, was very welcoming and provided a lovely breakfast. The room we stayed in was extremely cosy and comfortable. It was right in the heart of Windermere too, so it was handy for all the amenities. We have stayed in a few other places in Windermere before, both a guest house and a hotel, but Kays Cottage was the one we felt most at home in.

It was very good experience Nice family cottage , jean and Dave are very friendly and they know how to make u feel at home. I would recommend that cottage to every one who want to escape from busy London and want to relax in a countryside . Thanks Jean abd Dave you made my day :) Regards,

From the moment we arrived Jean made us extremely welcome, our room was immaculate and sumptuous. Breakfast was delicious and the location of the house is perfect for shops, restaurants and walks. We will definitely be returning to Kays Cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Good location ,we were looked after very well I have to have a gluten free diet and Jean was very keen to make sure I enjoyed a great breakfast nothing was too much trouble for her
