Stayed here for a family wedding, through necessity. Room rates varied widely between guests for what is frankly poor value for money.

Hotel staff was very friendly and attentive in every area . Restaurant staff and food was far superior than I would have ever expected of a Best Western. Newer rooms are very spacious and quiet. Bathrooms very modern and roomy. Rooms in the main hotel wing are nice, but very small and bathrooms cramped and not updated.

Size of room and lovely view with no noise from adjoining rooms. Would have liked more outdoor seating near the function room and would have liked bottled water in our bedroom.

Without exception the staff were very warm & friendly and my daughter and I felt very welcome. The leisure club was excellent. I had such a good experience at this hotel that I am considering booking a large family party here. Also the beds were wow! Very comfortable with quality linen. The rooms were spotless but a little old fashioned and we looked over the carpark...but for the rate we paid you could not complain.

The staff on reception dealt with our booking in a very professional manner. We arrived only to find the booking we had made with Booking.com had not been confirmed with the hotel - they had no record of our booking. Despite this they managed to allocated us rooms and we were very impressed with the away this was dealt with.

The rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. The pool, sauna, jaccuzzi and gym were great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I bought dinner in advance. The food was good and tasty but I would really have liked more choice - even if it had meant paying a supplement.

Everything was great, from checking in to checking out and the shortbread biscuits on reception were amazing! The only thing is mobile phone reception for my network (Vodaphone) was a nightmare and the free wifi did have it's moments as well..

Excellent room, facilities (the spa in particular), friendly and helpful staff. A good base to relax in the hotel or short drive into Dunfirmline or Edinburgh to sight- see and shop. Buffet breakfast excellent, evening meal very good ( no need for lunch after the breakfast). Leisurely walks in the grounds, squirrels and pheasant in abundance. Upon opening the bedroom window on the first morning three hen pheasants flew up onto the window ledge, tame or what? Will definitely book again when needing a short break and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Shower in en-suite not very good, low pressure. Go for swim, spa etc and have a refreshing shower in the leisure centre

Food was great I found it strange that we were in a room next to the function room where a wedding was taking place. This meant we could hear the music etc form the wedding. I would have thought it made more sense to place wedding guests in this room and non-wedding guests further away from the function room.

Lovely spacious comfortable rooms. Serving a good (expensive) brandy in a sundae dish rather than a brandy goblet.

We enjoyed our stay as it was a family party. On the whole the facilities were good... Over all we had a pleasent stay We did feel the shower in our room was very poor and on the whole the place was looking a little tired through out the hotel. We do alot of traveling and find that English hotels need to brighten there decor up to make it feel more welcoming and cosier, especially taking into account our wonderful weather.

The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much hassle. Some rooms could benefit from modernization in line with the rooms that have either under gone refurbishment or new additions to the buildings. The room we had the shower was in need of this upgrade.
