It was ideally placed for a function at a nearby hotel. It was very busy on the Sunday morning and the catering staff could not cope for breakfast. The bathroom in mmy room had cracked floor tiles and loos side tiles on the base of the bath.

The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. 10/10 My only complaint was that on arrival Friday evening the young receptionist was unfriendly and had an attitude that implied "cant be bothered ". a typical stroppy teenager. Not good for front of house . Other receptionists on Saturday and Sunday were very different. Well done them.

The room had a musty smell on arrival. The carpet was a trip hazard as it was ruckled up and badly fitted. Lighting was very dim. The breakfast could be improved and presentation of breakfast was poor. The scrambled egg looked awful and there were no fried eggs. The croissants were very dry. On arrival at breakfast we were swooped on by 4 staff one at a time to ask our room number . However, we ate in the evening and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It was of excellent quality and the staff were just friendly enough without being in your face.

Cleanliness and roomy for the price, stayed in far worse for far more. Slightly noisy at night, noisey floors from above and sides. They just need better sound proofing.

Perfect location to meet up with family in Kegworth. Hotel was a basic no frills place with a clean room and decent bed. Front desk staff we encountered had a bit of a can't be bothered attitude which was disappointing, but having said that the other staff we met were friendly and helpful.

it was clean and provided the basics for a one night stay. Staff were obliging and pleasant The lack of clarity on whether breakfast was part of the package. We were honest and went to the desk to pay but a number of people at breakfast did not pay - yet we heard them say that they didn't think it was included. This needs to be clarified so people do pay if they should pay. My 11 year old daughter had a bowl of cereal and one piece of toast for £7.95 - poor value.

There were no paper tissues in the room. This is the first time I stayed at a superior room without this item.

I arrived late following a difficult journey and asked reception about something to eat. I was told that room service was available and there would be a menu in the room. There was no menu in the pack. I tried to phone reception, as there was no obvious number to dial for room service, but got no answer. I was too tired to go back to reception, so gave up and went to bed. The room was very cold when I arrived, as the heating had been turned off. I did not expect to have to put heating on myself. The bathroom remained cold for the duration of my stay.

I was picking up my daughter from the Sutton Bonington Campus of Nottingham Uni, so ideal location and reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful and even called me on my mobile after I'd checked out as I'd left my sat nav in the room. Will definitely use again, especially if there is another special offer.

It was an all round good experience. The staff were friendly and helpful without being over attentive. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent. We would stay again. We were there because we were attending a function in the Yew Lodge further up the road and they ran out of accommodation. We were glad of this ultimately!

Basically a reasonably comfortable country hotel, its outstanding asset is the friendliness and willingness of the staff, who without exception went out of their way to make sure our stay was satisfactory, and displayed a genuine interest in our wellbeing, The restaurant offers good quality well-presented food and wines within a somewhat restricted menu The lack of overhead lighting in bedrooms is sometimes difficult, especially fo anyone visually impaired, although bathrooms were well lit.

Good location regarding close to business. I was staying for business reasons and was offered the service of a morning call, which never happened. As I was staying for business this late start could have been very costly to me, as I was late arriving for my appointment. The reception staff were very sorry, but this however does not take away from the fact that if an important service is offered this should be completed. A bagged breakfast was made up for me, but this in no way made up for the day ahead, this created needless stress to my day.
