Comfortable room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast.
No lift to many stairs.
The receptionist was excellent. When we arrived the toilet seat was broken, she immediately picked up some tools and fixed it herself. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty to set us up for the day. Location was excellent, a short walk away from the town, minutes from the seafront and yet still quiet and peaceful. All areas of the hotel were clean.
The WiFi connection was intermittent. The first day we couldn't get it to work at all but our breakfast waiter told us it was dependent on the area of the hotel. We needed to move about to connect. Although clean, our room looked a bit 'tired'. A fresh lick of paint and new drapes on the four poster would have livened it up. Are rooms reduced in price because they are due for refurbishment?
I had a one night stop at this hotel and the staff were fantastic. The room was all but clean and the bed was really comfortable and breakfast was great. It was a week day but it was pretty noisy outside and I suppose weekends might be noisier. Overall I would recommend this hotel
The bathroom is to small and the sink a bit rusty. Flushing the toilet or taking a shower is too noisy I guess due to water saving mechanism
A friendly, helpful staff. Our ground floor room was lovely. Just a short walk to the Brighton Pier and shops. Very nice breakfast.
My only negative was the towels. they were a bit dingy and one has nasty brown stains on it. (needless to say it wasn't used)
Central location, friendly staff, great breakfast.
Room rather small at top of building but we did book late so owas happy to get in.
Lovely room with lots of touches ( free water, choccies, coke and wine)
Noisy, so noisy... Not hotels fault, but so many inconsiderate people all night shouting outside..
Great communication from the owner/manager and very friendly and helpful on arrival. Would definitely recommend for younger travellers as the the location is ideal. Will book again :-)
Nothing, it was perfect for the purposes of the visit.
A very pretty building and nice staff.
Cannot think of anything not to like.
Staff, service and food
No air con meant that the window had to be open and the noise of the drunks including a fight in the early hours of the morning prevented us from sleeping for most of the night. Suggest the hotel either fit air con or get the next door pub licence curtailed.
We are usual visitors and we generally like the location, cleanliness, breakfast and politeness of the staff.
We have come to this hotel several times and always slept well. Unfortunately and for the first time we were in the Carlton room at the very top; we were woken up by screaching seagulls before dawn and could not sleep until it was 7am - apparently it is so every early morning. Also very small room for the price.
This place we stayed was excellent the room was clean and we'll modren. Location was perfect staff was helpfull would recommend this hotel to anyone
hotel provides ear plugs; short walk from the station and other amenities; big ferris wheel at the end of the road; all around very nice bright Brighton place to stay.
Helpful polite staff, Lovely room, great drinks tray & very good breakfast & selection.
The staff, the location and the breakfast was great!
Good-sized room and bathroom. Lovely breakfast. Very friendly and efficient reception and breakfast staff.
Parking difficult - staff helped as much as they could.
Friendly and welcoming staff
Parking could be a problem.
The staff were excellent ,very polite ,helpful ,facility's good .breakfast lovely .
Not the hotels fault ,the road was so noisey ,there was a fight outside and so much noise I did not sleep ,which spoilt it all for me .
The rooms came with bath towels, coffe/tea and hairdryer
The noise from the rubbish collection from the pub next door at 5/6 am and then an hour later the delivery to the same pub by the brewery. What a racket. This was the only thing that let it down.
We only stayed one night but the lady who was on duty was very friendly and helpful, the room was a good size and the location of the hotel right opposite the pier. There was also an excellent breakfast.
Open shower made the bathroom very wet.
Friendly staff, great location, nice room
Seagulls screaching throughout the night!
The hotel is near the centre but was quiet. Out Room was spacious with a well appointed bathroom. The breakfast was pleasing.
The absence of plain yoghurt for breakfast. We don't all like the fruity ones.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, we were able to leave. our bags at reception until the time came for us to pick up our coach
Location was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely extra touches eg complimentary wine and mints on arrival. Great cooked breakfast. Lovely shower with multiple options.
Only problem in downstairs room was that the toilet didn't flush well. Hardly any pressure.
So close to the pier and town.
There was nothing.
