The smell of dogs was apparent as soon as you walk through the door, it got worse when we were shown to our room passing through the hallway at the bottom of the stairs, the stench was worse than awful, a mixture of dogs and sour sick, I honestly had to hold my breath passing through, I was dreading going into my room, however the room didn't smell at all, (although there was a used tin of Vaseline and used ear plugs in my bedside cabinet) LOVELY!!!! I would have cut my losses had the room been as bad as the rest of the place and stayed somewhere else, even though I would have still had to pay. My thoughts we're, it's only only one night to put my head down.
The outside of the Kenlis Arms was very appealing, the grounds surrounding the building we're lovely, good breakfast, room clean enough considering the rest of place. Nice touch with the biscuits, tea, coffee and bottled water on arrival.
