The pub was a very friendly place. Breakfast was excellent. We walked along the canal to garstang, the path is safe and was used by s lot of dog walkers,it took us about 20 mins.
Everything The owners the quality of the food the facilities and the friendlyiness of everybody Including the locals.
Having only one night there.
cleanliness, quality of service, value for money
some noise from the nearby motorway
Very comfortable bed - even the sofa-bed was excellent and provided a good nights sleep. The owner couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The WiFi coverage was excellent and allowed us to catch up on a missed BBC show on iPlayer comfortably!
Try as I might, I cannot find anything to complain about.
The bed was really comfy and the breakfast was good nothing was too much trouble.
There is a train track really close by and sometimes at night I could hear the trains
Staff very friendly , food was great home cooked fresh and local.would stay there again and hope to do so.i had to book at last minute but was very pleased.a lovely choice of coffee and tea in room plus biscuits !! The included breakfast was delicious.
That I couldnt stay longer but hope to be back there soon.
Andrea who runs the Kenlus Arms is very friendly and hosputable, this is our second stay and we will be back
Bathroom a little dated
Although the location is near the M6 and the main line, it was very peaceful and rural and I slept very well. You can walk from the hotel along the canal.
Meals are only served in the public house area downstairs on some days of the week - so check first. But Garstang is charming and had an excellent good value restaurant in the high street.
Comfortable bed and good breakfast.
Railway line close by.
The outside of the Kenlis Arms was very appealing, the grounds surrounding the building we're lovely, good breakfast, room clean enough considering the rest of place. Nice touch with the biscuits, tea, coffee and bottled water on arrival.
The smell of dogs was apparent as soon as you walk through the door, it got worse when we were shown to our room passing through the hallway at the bottom of the stairs, the stench was worse than awful, a mixture of dogs and sour sick, I honestly had to hold my breath passing through, I was dreading going into my room, however the room didn't smell at all, (although there was a used tin of Vaseline and used ear plugs in my bedside cabinet) LOVELY!!!! I would have cut my losses had the room been as bad as the rest of the place and stayed somewhere else, even though I would have still had to pay. My thoughts we're, it's only only one night to put my head down.
Very friendly staff, excellent room and comfortable bed. Good location for seeing relatives and friends in Preston
Small shower cubicle, bAthroom a little tired.
Friendly and family style hospitality. Comfortable surroundings. Great food and drink. Ideally situated for exploring the West and North. Value for money. One feels the owners actually care about their guests and their immediate needs rather than the decor and fittings!
Poor beer. Bar crowded with people in overalls. Close to M6 Motorway and a long drive between junctions.
Excellent breakfast Comfortable room Canal-side walks with the dog
Nearby motorway - although it was not as noisy as we thought it would be.
Lovely room, nice and clean
Having to walk through the owners' part of the house to get to room.
Owners very friendly .Food good .
Needs up dating in side but comfortable room clean .
Rail and road traffic noise quite bad kept me awake thought the windows may have been left open but upon checking no they weren't lack of sleep ...unimpressed
The staff were friendly if quirky, but very welcoming. The beer was great, and this place was certainly off the beaten track. The food was first class.
No hand soap or shampoo in bathrooms, and room a little cluttered with unnecessary furniture. Otherwise clean and good value for money.
Nice welcome, lovely light large room, FRESH milk for our tea and coffee and fantastic English Breakfast.
Had to keep the window closed because of road noise, but we knew we would be close to the Motorway so no fault of the hotel
Great Location, lovely comfortable bed, the best complimentary drinks and snacks tray ever..!
Nice, friendly owner/staff. Excellent breakfast.
Lack of hot water. Tv not plugged in or tuned but, given that the owner had to dash off to hospital to see her daughter, we'll overlook it
Friendliness and food
