Score from 54 reviews Superb
The Warm welcome, clean warm room, Excellent breakfast and price. Handy for the town centre.
The hotel was in a really position for our visit and for the town. Plenty of parking, I liked the decor in the hall area.
Didn't really like the room decor, shower not great.
position of hotel
bed smelt damp
Nice clean room with comfortable bed
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff Breakfast Convenient location
Low water pressure in shower and water a bit cold. Poor WiFi reception.
Nice size family room
Vegetarian English breakfast was just English breakfast minus bacon and sausage. I think they could have given either a veggie sausage or extra egg or mushrooms or something
Staff obliging with our request for early breakfast, breakfast was good.
Bed linen was soiled and cushions had stains. Towels were thredbare. Everywhere needed cleaning. Even hot water jug brought to table was full of dust.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Very good value for money. Excellent customer service.
We liked the breakfast very much. It had a good selection of cereals, yogurts & juices. Then there was the cooked selection too! Very nice & good service. Parking was available.
The decor was listed as traditional but it was just dated &ismatched. The "lacey" 4 poster was awful. The bathroom extractor fan was noisy & we had to turn it off with an umbrella as the switch was on the ceiling. At 6am someone else's fan woke us up. There was too much furniture in our room & old beds in the carpark outside our room. The door code numbers were illegible.
The staff was nice.
A wifi did not work. The room has stunk of a mould or dump. I believe the bedsheets were changed but I found hair in bed and let me wonder... White towels didn't look white to me..had stains.. For the reasonable price I didn't expect a luxury but was hoping for better what I got... Overall, I have survived.;)
good breakfast; good location; cheap
Faulty hairdryer (actually dangerous as the handle had come apart); not very clean; shower inadequate water flow
car parking only at weekend then not a real problem
Good location. Only paid for 1 night stay (£120) instead of the full two nights.
At check-in, promised no noise from stag party but kept awake by their antics. Unable to use wifi on four Windows & Android devices. Leaking shower hose produced very poor shower. Towel rail came off when removing a towel gently. Lower half of one single bed so sunken that legs had no support underneath. The only hotel I have known where you can actually understand the conversations and swearing coming from an adjoining room. No hotel staff at reception to complain to (nor in the bar as advised)
very tasty breakfast & staff accommodating
room a good size but in need of redecorating where repairs had been completed.
The breakfast was enjoyable and of good quality.
The room was dusty and shabby. Small holes in net curtains and not very clean. Mattress needs replacing and in poor condition. This hotel needs re-decorating. I pointed out politely these remarks to the manager/receptionist in a tactful manner and a promise was made for a phone call to be made to me. So far this has not transpired. Whilst I appreciate some payment needs to be made for this room, I would expect to pay 50% of the cost of £84.00! We paid £39 for a premier inn room which was superb. I will be following up this matter again if I do not hear from the owner.
No hot water-it only gets turned on at certain times according to staff. Sewerage rose up through the shower tray. Room was exceptionally noisy as stag parties came back in the early hours and were very loud. Breakfast not as described, hairs on plate.
mouldy toast bathroom stinking of urine musty smell in room traffic noise guests shouting when talking to there work colleagues when leaving early in the morning and late at night.
the staff was very helpful when i said about the room was small they changed me to another one straight away
room 21 1st allocated
Parking, breakfest, position
Hot water only in the evening (but from both taps!),in the morning only cold. Wifi very weak, with interruptions
Short notice booking availability and access to beach and town.
walking up and down the hills, so please do something about that for my next visit!
the breakfast was excellent
the bedding was shabby and did not feel fresh, the mugs in the room were dirty and tea stained, the lighting/lamps bedside, were broken, no lighting what so ever in the en suite, for over 70 years of age guests we found it difficult.
good food excellent value for money possibly budget. friendly staff. easy reach of bournemouths main attractions.
maybe cleaniless could be improved found some chips/used lipbalm under my bed/ dusty behind the bed. no headboard/mattress/pillow protectors on beds. needed deep cleaning in rooms. cold dining room.but excellent in conseravotory suuroundings. small/tiny garden.
close to everything, great value, clean and comfortable.
one of the beds very squeaky
Place was in need of good clean cob webs every were bath room smelt of urine think that was because it was carpet in there
Very close to town centre
Room quite noisy as near entrance. Linen had to be changed as stained. Breakfast ok.
