Great location Comfortable bed Good spa and facilities
When I checked in I was told I had been upgraded to a delux room with walk in shower but my room was very small with a shower over the bath
Breakfast was excellent
Room too small, rather dingy and just functionally decorated. I would not want to book such a room again!
Friendly staff and good rates
Bathroom bit small
Friendly staff and location
The bedroom was very comfy.
I was in room 253 and the bathroom/shower facilities were not up to standard. Had to use the hand held shower rather then the overhead which didn't work. The rail in the bathtub was also rusty. I reported this on my check out.
the location plus as requested giving us a room on 5th floor so was quiet.
no glass tumblers in bathroom handy when you need to take tablets. No toilet brush in case of tummy upsets. not enough milks for tea or coffee another 4 would have been nice. no biscuits. room was not very warm and heating went off at night.
My husband and I had to stay few days in London because my husband had a hospital appointment. The first night we stayed in room 1006 and it became clear it was far too small for us. The bed was very small and not only we are both very tall, but my husband's injured shoulder made it even more uncomfortable. I mentioned this in reception next morning and asked if we could be moved to a bigger room, I also mentioned I didn't mind to pay a bit extra. Few hours later, when we came back from hospital we had a new bigger room and we were told no need to pay any extra it was complementary from hotel. We are going through a really though time because of my husband's health and the hotel made our life much easier and happier. Thank you very much to the staff that attended us and made us smile in a quite sad moment in our life.
If you are going to stay in "Standard Double Room" the beds are very small.
staff very friendly and helpful
room size and tired decor
The location is perfect and just 3 minutes walk to high street kensington station. Area nearby has good restaurants and coffee places as well as nice pubs. The staff were very helpful and professional.
The bathrooms are so small, its so inconvenient and not practical at all!! That was the worst thing about our stay.
No free wi fi
The location of this hotel is excellent.
Our duvet cover had a stain on the inside. Overall I don't have many complains
The room was very cold and unbelievably small
Good location next to High street Ken but very disappointing given its supposed 4* rating.
Access to pool and spa were £8 per person extra per day, which wasn't made clear at time of booking. Room was way too small for twin beds - so no room to go to the bathroom without waking the other person - ridiculous! Staff never asked how our stay was - did they care?
Beds were good Excellent breakfast Staff were excellent
Spa was rubbish mote like a public swimming baths Hottub was broken and sauna were single sex which isnt very good if u go with the mrs There was a kids swimming lesson going on - not very relaxing!!!
The standard room we had was very small and the bathroom awkward.
faulty electrics shower unusable, had just boiling water
- great location of the hotel - continental breakfast
- there was an issue with the heating in our room, that was solved after an hour of discussion with reception staff with the heater, they provided us a discount and got complimentary breakfast
Location, nice lobby
Position in the city is good a near by High Street Kensington tube station
I arrived at 2.00 pm my room was cold (heat didn't work properly) I advised reception and went out for my business schedule. I was back at midnight, as first thing I asked reception if they checked out and solve issue. Nobody knew anything. They asked me to check by myself and call them back if it were still cold. It was definitely cold, something like 17/18 degrees! I contacted them asking to change room, they replied it was not possible (hotel is huge so they get some rooms for sure...) and promised to send an officer to fix problem latest by 10 minutes. I waited on my bed and nobody arrived for half an hour...them I fell asleep and I waked up at 3.00 am. Room was cold, heat not working at all. Nobody replied to my calling. I slept with my clothes on. Next morning I packed everything and I left as fast as I could. Horrible stay!! I will never come back again!!
They up graded my room
They were going to make me pay for wifi. In the end they kindly gave it to me free. Wifi in this day and age should always be free.
Good location. Nice bar area.
Room was clean but very basic. Booked an executive double and felt like I was in a travelodge room. Not like advertised on website. I even called reception to make sure I was in the right room!
Non free wifi
Staff brought me a heater.
Room was freezing. In restaurant they were unable to assign food to the room bill and all had to be settled there and then.
Excellent location in quiet street close to High Street Kensington and Hyde park, tube station bus routes, and a wide choice of eating places. Hotel has been renovated and is of a very good standard. Staff helpful and friendly. Public rooms very good. Good breakfast.
My room had relatively little cupboard space. Would likely have been a problem if there had been two of us. It would have been nicer if desk had been closer to window. Both are minor issues though! I always wonder why the better hotels let you pay for WiFi whilst the cheaper hotels include it for free? It is an unnecessary pain!
The decor was stylish.
That in this day and age you have to pay for wi-fi in a stylish but costly hotel however it's free at Mcdonald's after spending a mere £1.00.
