Very good location for touring and walking view was good

could do with modern upgrade needs brighting up appearance inside very dull

The size of the room was good with a lovely sea view. The lady running the place on her own was lovely and very friendly.

The whole place needs a good re vamp, the tiles on the steps outside were cracked and broken,the seal around the bath was a disgrace. The room was mucky, stains on the window sill, stains on the wall, the tv was full of greasy marks. There were light bulbs out. The windows were filthy but the lady explained that this was because of work that had been done on the house next door. We didn't complain at the time because it is a huge house and far too much for one person to run on their own and she had done her best.

this hotel is awful and should be shut down , the smell in the lobby and room 5 is sickening

The dirt, lack of cleanliness. A pat of butter under the table from Monday morning, still there Friday morning. The smell of air fresheners. The drabness and unkempt feeling of the entire hotel. Towels not changed when left in the bath for changing. Shebby paint and wall paper hanging off thr walls.Beading around the bath catching on my dress. So much I cannot explain.

it was very close to the sea front,the staff were very friendly and helpful,breakfast was very nice well cooked and fresh,would recommend to anyone

Unclean, cold and inhospitable quite a forgettable experience if I were to return to Rhyl I can say in all honesty I will give the Kensington a very wide berth.

Absolutely nothing. The single most appalling accommodation we have EVER had the displeasure of staying in.

We did not like anything AT ALL. Were in not for the fact we were attending a funeral nearby then we would have refused to stay there.

The room only had a portable radiator it was freezing....the general aura of the hotel in terms of fabrics and furnishings needs a complete overhaul

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Customer service was very poor and attempts to have a friendly conversation ignored. Rooms were shabby and very tired and dated, for example there was a wardrobe in the dining room with a door hanging off and old bedding spilling out. The bedroom had a lot of furnitire in it, again shabby and not very clean - shower was old but was hot ! Breakfast was included in the price of the room but was a farce, initially told it was at 9am which was too late for me so agreed I could have breakfast at 8, at 7.50am was advised that I had to go now as the dining room was closing in 15mins, Tables set as for a full breakfast- mine was dirty - was told to help my self to cereals - in a grey dirty tupperware, meusili was large oats no fruit or nuts, told to make my own toast in a dirty commercial toaster, the wall behind it was stained from use over a long time and am sure that it is a H&S concern. No cooked breakfast as I presumed from the table setting and apart from staff giving me a pot of tea - no sign of any staff. I would certainly not recommended this hotel / guest house to anyone

The view

Beds were uncomfortable one had a large hole in the base. Bedding was itchy Parking was ridiculous. did not smell nice in the rooms. Would not stay there again and would not recomend

Large family room. Good breakfastm

Noisy room. Music blasting from another room till early hours. No hotwater at all. Dirty well used towels. Poor toileteries in room, soap provided looked like it had been used!

could do with being able to deal with problems what occurs at night as the lady was where on could not deal with it as it was the curtain rail was broke and she could not get hold of anybody to deal with it

Nothing was too much trouble for June (the older lady mentioned in a lot of reviews). She is a credit to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent location near the beach and Rhyl sun centre.

Everything was very basic and a bit shabby, but not dirty. It could do with redecoration. We paid extra for the cot bed to be placed in the room - there was no cot bedding provided, just the basic cot, so be aware of this if you need it and bring your own cot bedding.

Lovely large family room with sea view. Close to all local amenities.

There was a musty smell every were also a smell of cigarette smoke it was very run down would not go back also breakfast was one egg one rasher and a few beans also there was no hot water when we got there in the afternoon

the view was ok,breakfast room was ok.

first of all,parking was attrocious,a small space round the back for 2 cars.service and help was very poor,the room was untidy,dirty and needed a good clean.i paid £65 for the one night stay with my children and it was over-priced.i wont be returning and felt i had let my kids down who were both a bit upset by it.

it was old rundown in need of a total revamp the breakfast was not cooked properly and the beds are from the 1950s
