The hotel was very welcoming when we arrived, it has a sweet little front terrace which was nice to sit in whilst planning our afternoon. The hotel was very clean and receptionist polite. The room was small but this was to be expected based on reading the reviews, it is a base to go into London from in a nice quite street. The only comment I would make is the blinds are white and so the sun beaming in through the window woke us up at 6am, perhaps we are used to black out blinds at home. But thank you for a pleasant stay.

The location is great and the tube is very near. It's a surprisingly nice area that is a pleasant place to be own its own right. The staff couldn't have been nicer and friendlier.I suppose that although it seemed rather expensive it's about the law of supply and demand:it was high season and we were lucky to find the place at such short notice. But I would go back, definitely. Any chance of some discount?

Great location to points of interest. Short walk to the tunnels. Beds were inconsistent in quality. Children's bed were fine, but two person bed was old and had sunken parts. Walls are a little thin.

The location was handy for tube and sight seeing Room standards were very low with broken light fittings, inadequate bathroom facilities. The room stank of stale cigarette smoke and was dirty. Pillows were marked and stained with no covers on spares, bed linen had mildew marks and the carpert was rucked up and ill fitting. The room was far too small for a family of four and the tea and coffee advertised was not available in the rooms but in reception. All in all poor value for money and only of very poor backpacker standards, undeserving of its star rating.

The staff were very helpful & friendly. The room was compact, but clean & comfortable...the beds were very comfortable. A bath tub is a real bonus with young children. Great to have an elevator! Location is great..near Tube, but off main road. A bar fridge would be nice to store drinks/fruit (although I'm not sure if there is enough space for one!). The breakfast option was poor...especially for our children who are allergic to milk.

Underground station near the hotel and easy to reach (very important). Italian receptionist polite. Bathroom too small, the carpet in the room should be cleaned more often.

I enjoyed the good public transport connection with the city centre. The staff was always available and friendly. The room and the ensuite bathroom are really too small.

Staff is kind and accomodating, position is quite good, managed to check in quite early (around 11 am) that avoided us to hang out with luggage. At night radiator was awfully noisy, complained with reception around 4 am, changed room in the afternoon (I would avoid rooms with old radiators). First room was too small, second one was ok, from the building plan I would avoid rooms number 17-18-19. first ROOM:The duvet oversheet was stained, the bed base consisted in 4 blocks of wood pushed together and mattress on top. second room: everything ok

Its location was perfect, only 500m from the Olympia conference centre. In all fairness, its 2 star, so you more or less get what you pay for: Hairballs in the drain, no mats in the bathroom/bath. The room so small you couldn't swing the proverbial cat. Coffee from a machine downstairs, no breakfast option to eat in, etc. But overall acceptable if you use it as a pure sleeping hotel, as we did....

Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and tidy throughout including room and bathroom. Excellent location and excellent value for money. Nothing really the hotel served its purpose for providing a cost effective place to stay. The room was small and not really designed for larger people.

Great find in West Ken! Clean, comfortable, value for money and reception staff very helpful. Short walk to Earls Court and Kensington High Street, 5 mins to No 10 bus to Oxford Street and 5 mins to West Kensington tube. Sainsbury's 2 mins walk on this nice quiet road. Sunny front terrace/garden, complementary tea/coffee all day, lift. Altogether really enjoyed my two nights there, bed was very comfortable, sunny bedroom with flat screen tv and clean ensuite bathroom. Did not have breakfast either morning so cannot comment. Well done to the owners and staff!

Brilliant location, very reasonably priced, friendly staff. This is a great little hotel if you want a base to do some sightseeing. Its basic but the rooms are clean the bathroom was spotless fresh towels were provided each morning. We stayed on the third floor in a family room which was reasonably large. If you want a five star hotel in Kensington be prepared to pay rhe price, however if you want a very good value hotel thars centrally located and clean the Kensington West is the way to go.

I thought that the beds were comfortable, the shower good and the staff friendly and helpful. I was a bit disconcerted by blood stains on the carpet in the stairway and on the sheet. I know blood can be difficult to remove, but it is not impossible. The sheet, although it was clean, really should not have been re used without having the blood stain thoroughly removed.

The location is convenient. It is within 5 minutes walk to the West Kensington Tube Station on the District Line, and can be reached from the Heathrow Airport through one change of train only. The area is quiet and clean. A few supermarkets (including the Sainsbury) are in close vicinity which makes stocking up snacks very convenient. The triple room that we had was quite ample in space and the bathroom was adequate. Hot water was available throughout the day. The staff was helpful and responsive in responding to requests. The entrance of the hotel was very small and without a signboard. As we arrived late in the evening we spent some time in finding the hotel. The desk in the room was very small and without a drawer. The wardrobe was very primitive. Only one chair was available. The bed mattresses were quite old and tiring.

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
