This hotel is in a great location. A new bar opened next door that was 1st class and very inviting. The continental breakfast was better than expected. The room was very small. Not even enough room for a chair. We stayed one night, so who cares. Never got hot water from the shower, but friends in another room had no problem.

Location, close to the tube, the bed was okay. Possibility to check in early and to get a room away from the road The bathroom was tiny and the shower had not been cleaned for ages, there was mold on the walls. Also the toilet is about. 50 cm from the bed and there is no window in the bathroom.

It was very clean. The location was excellent being close to the underground with 3 tube lines. It had lovely restaurants/pubs in the area, a tesco express and late night pharmacy. Excellent location for museums. Our triple room was very spacious.Bottled water was replaced every day in room.Free newspapers and copies of Time Out London most appreciated. The area felt safe too.Liked the all night reception. Stand alone air- conditioning machine helped to keep things cool in august. Stayed 4 nights. The noise. I got used to it, but the 2 other members of my family bought ear plugs at the pharmacy near tube station..A Real need to install double glazing to dull the traffic noise. I had requested a quiet room when booking. On checking in, the receptionist told us that as the room was on the 4th floor noise wouldn't be a problem. However, that was not the case. Went for continental breakfast once. No facility to warm croissants. A bowl of fruit when a freshly prepared fruit salad would have been so much nicer. Water not boiling for tea- a hot water dispenser the only option.

Great value for money, nice and clean. No airconditioning which which makes you need the window open, but in Central London that is very hot - not a problem if you are out drinking though!!!

Ideally located nearby tube station, restaurants and shops. Very low standard compared to other 3 star hotels in London. The price does not justify the size of the standard double room and the tiny en suite bath with minute basin and moldy bath/shower tub. There was a very small wardrobe (1m width) with the safe at the bottom which could not be opened completely due to the small space. There was no arm chair (only a small chair ) and there were no drawers. The only window of the room faced onto a closed alleyway with walls covered in water / air pipes. From the elevator to the room there were 4 fire doors, a narrow staircase with a dirty carpet. It is clear the Kensington Rooms building was definitely not born as a hotel, but seems to have been flats which were then renovated and transformed to a ‘hotel’.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, hotel was presented very nicely and the staff helpful. Loved the fish tank in reception. Whenever I made an enquiry or alteration to my booking it was confirmed by email straight away by one of the staff. They were helpful in changing me to a double room to save me having to spend a night in a twin room as originally booked and then 2 more in an economy single! Most importantly room wasn't facing main road so was incredibly quiet which was a real bonus as i normally have to wear earplugs in London hotels! Great sleep! Room was quite small and bathroom in the cupboard under the stairs! As I was travelling alone I found this was ok (economy double) but if travelling as a couple probably better to pay a little more to have a standard double and have more space. Wifi in room very expensive!

Location. Treatment by staff. Sermed like they were making me the favor of seving me, whereas it is usually the customer who does the favor of choosing the hotel. Public areas, particularly sofas, need cleaning.

It's location is very good, near tube station and supermarkets. Also near to well known bus stop. Staffs communication was clear and friendly. Toothpaste was not there in bathoom. Not enough sugar packets with tea- coffee. Room walls are thin, you will hear all sounds of adjacent rooms. Most importantly, we booked the room for 31st dec with 138 pound fare but the room provided was short, no view outside window. It was just to sleep for a night. No breakfast inluded.

Would liked to have stayed but you gave my room away! Very poor communicative skills. Tell someone you have given room away despite booking being many weeks before. Also get some staff who can speak English sufficiently well to at least sound sincere when apologising.

Efficeint and convenient to Glouschester Tube Station Small room by us standards. High level of street noise and no sound resticiting curtains; needing to change reservation but no flexibility so paid for three nights and stayed two. Missed cut-off for reservatio nchange by less than 12 hours but flexibility
